2019 Upgraded Mini Projector, DBPOWER 2400Lux Portable Video Projector for Home Theater, Support Screen Mirror with Smartphone & Pad, 1080P/HDMI/VGA/USB/TV Box/Laptop/DVD/External Speaker Supported
Bought this projector for an outdoor movie screening event in my backyard. I couldnt have been more pleased with the picture quality, brightness and the sound (although I did decide to hook up my in-home surround sound system/blu ray player to it, which was super easy). Ive since connected my Ruko stick with the provided HDMI cable and streamed Netflix through the projector, attached my JBL bluetooth speaker with an AUX cable, and even used the HDMI to connect my MacBook so we could watch old home movies and flip through photos through the projector. One of the best purchases Ive made in years. Love this DBPOWER mini projector.

I create original art t-shirts from highly-detailed ink drawings on paper and/or line images Ive created in Photoshop, and which Ive uploaded to SD card or USB. It projects a sharp image for me to trace over it and onto the t-shirt or other surface. Ive attached an image of an example t-shirt that I made using this projector. Along with SD ad USB ports theres an HDMI, and you can connect your phone to it directly, you just need an adapter to HDMI. But for my purposes, SD or USB is just fine. The other is for people who want to watch movies. I do that with my TV, and I dont need a constant source of entertainment, especially when Im creating stuff. Simple to use. Has a lens cover, a focus roller, and a slider for projector angle correction. Its got other features such as Slide Show but thats not helpful for me and the purposes for which I use it. Its a really good art projector at a reasonable price. If you buy something for $25, expect a cheap-looking picture. But you might be surprised at how sharp the image is for right at (at least currently) $100. If you want to know how good it is for movies, Im sure there are numerous reviews to which you may refer.

Originally I gave this one star b/c the primary digital media I use is Netflix - but my movies wouldnt play when hooked up to the projector. Turns out the projector wasnt broken - the product simply does not have the license to project movies from that source. We did try a thumb drive as well when we couldnt get Netflix to work, and the projector picture looked very good for the price. I told the seller I would update my review if they updated their description to call out that they couldnt play Netflix...which they did.

I cant believe how much fun having a projector at home is! All of our kids (ages 7 to 25) absolutely had a blast. They are all begging to watch another movie tonight. Think well try it inside tonight. For the screen we chose the one by Kandoona (https://amzn.to/2w4vgVm) because it was the only one we found that had the 16 grommets. Really did the trick! The projector and screen were both really easy to set up. Well be doing a Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings marathon with some local teens next. I am going to try to leave a video on this page if I can figure it out, lol.

I think it goes without saying that this is not a top of the line, $1000 projector, and I did not expect it to be. I mostly bought this as a toy, something for me to project my fantasy football scores on the wall next to my TV so I could see both at the same time. Not only does it work, but actually, its much better than I thought it would be. The iPhone screen sharing really does work, the build quality seems good, the brightness is good enough for a dim room (though it looks amazing in the dark). My only caveats are: 1. the focus is fiddly, youll have to have a steady hand to get it just right; 2. The fixed length, wide angle lens makes the throw distance really short-- if you want a smaller image, youll need to move the projector closer to the screen/wall/whatever than you might like to; 3. I wish it were a little brighter, but again, I didnt expect top of the line performance for this price. An added plus-- my kids love it. They like to see all their favorite phone apps up on the wall blown up to be huge. The simple colors and graphics look stellar on this thing. I also use a star map app with the projector and put the night sky up on my daughters ceiling at bedtime; its not something you could leave running because of the noise and heat, but its a fun division for the kids. I feel like Ive already got well more enjoyment out of this than I paid for it.

It was shipped and delivered fast. Packaging was great. I dont have TVs around the house and I thought it would be cool just to have this portable projector to take from room to room if I ever have guests or just want to see a movie on the "big screen" (my wall). Ive only used it for connecting via HDMI with my computer, which was a very simple plug and play type setup, so I expect other methods of connection is easy as well. The quality is not the best. After adjusting the keystone, focus, and messing around with all projector menu options, it was still difficult making out some text when watching movies with subtitles or looking at text in game interfaces. This definitely needs to be in a dark area to see anything. Overall, this was not bad for the price.

Honestly, this is the best $50 projector I have ever seen. Is it perfect? No, but it’s pretty darn good. You get way more than what you pay for.

I was very happily surprised at the quality of this unit. We use it to watch movies outdoors and it fits the bill perfectly. The projector itself is very compact so it takes up very little room. The speaker is decent so if you dont have speakers available, you can get by with the onboard one. The projector is is bright and detailed. The image is detailed and evenly bright across the screen. You can see in the picture it wasnt even fully dark yet and the picture looks good. Setting it up is very simple and fast. I just turned it on, plugged in the hdmi cable and selected my source from the buttons on the top of the projector. Done. My only suggestion is more keystone adjustment. The ring supplied is a little limited in range.

I bought this for my nephew as a gift. When I got it, I had a try right away. I played “The Dolphin Story of A Dreamer” on YouTube. I also tried the keystone to adjust picture sharp. I would give a thumb up the “source” function. It allows me to connect different source such as USB, HDMI etc. To be honest, I bought one a month ago for self, but comparing to this one, the function is poor, but more expensive, and it also changed my laptop resolution, even frozen laptop every time. This one is working fine. The picture is in reasonable quality, after all it is a mini projector. but it is still brighter and sharper for same price in market. Generally speaking, it is easy to be installed. it is better than what I expected. If someone wants to get a mini projector with limited budget, you should consider it.

I must say, so far Im pretty impressed with this projector. This DOES NOT come with the needed cables to hook up to a phone. I knew this beforehand and purchased a lightning (for iPhone) digital HDTV AV cable adapter. Netflix and Amazon Video were not playing; I had audio but no video. After some choice cuss words and temper tantrums I realized trying to play movies through data or wifi was terrible. (I have Sprint so that could be why!) I decided to download a movie and try that and low and behold it played perfectly. The initial set up was very simple. Ive had a lot of experience with audio/visual products, but even for a newb, Id say connecting should be very simple. I read some reviews about the projector audio not being very loud. I personally thought it was loud; however I was indoors with no noise. If youre outside or there are a lot of people around you will more than likely need a speaker. I dont have another projector to compare but I feel this one is pretty darn bright. I set everything up in my living room with natural light peaking through and I could easily see the picture and adjust settings. That being said, I havent tried this at night yet. I do feel that it will be plenty bright enough though. I only had it plugged in for a minute or two and could already feel the heat coming off this thing. I will obviously keep it on a tripod or desktop to prevent a fire. (I initially had it on the carpet.) Its a great size, lightweight. Will easily be able to haul this around for movie nights.
