Other folks posted problems but I have had none after using this player for a few months. I LOVE that there is no power lamp; I have enough things glowing in the dark around the tv. I use it for dvds (dont own any blu-ray) and the picture quality is AWESOME.

Easy setup out of the box.Constantly having to re-connect to the WiFi, even though it shows its connected to my network. Just turns itself off in the middle of a movie when using the DVD/Blue-ray.

We purchased 2 of these Blu-Ray players. It has the onscreen options for accessing Netflix, Amazon, YouTube, Pandora, and any other apps you choose for quick selection. It offers a quick click option for accessing photos and videos that you have uploaded (we havent, so cannot offer an opinion on how easy/difficult that process is). The problem is that at about the 2 month mark, one of the players would flash a connection error, which we discovered would resolve itself after unplugging, waiting about 10-15 seconds, plugging back in, and trying to access Netflix or Amazon again. Ok, it was just one of the boxes - a little inconvenient but.... Then the second one started doing it. Now its just every single time. Apparently its great for playing BluRay DVDs, but thats it. It has become a source of stress when anyone mentions watching something on Netflix. Last night, the unplug-wait-plug reboot didnt resolve the error and instead we had to go through the entire set up phase. Our home network was showing it as active, but the box itself wasnt acknowledging the network. Bottom Line - Never had an issue with Sony; have had 2 Samsungs with nothing but problems. Bummer

I bought this Blu Ray Player for my husbands birthday replacing the regular one I bought him last year, this one is the same one I bought myself last year using my gift card because it works perfect, does not overheat nor difficult to use. My only con is there is no light to show if on or off, but you quickly get used to this feature. It also rated higher than Sony and other brands, We all have Samsung TV;s exactly alike, 10 years old 31" with beautiful picture perfect screens. I was going to buy a New bigger TV but was afraid the next would not have the same picture quality. A definite yes

Well i was excited with this player, but out of the box it will not power up, no pilot light to tell you status.and SHARPE TV will not recognize the HDMI CONNECT. Maybe this only works with Samsung TVs, it should say so in description, tried for two days trying to this thing to work,no setup signal on TV when powered up so i am assuming it has no signal to HDMI

Nice little player for the price. Turns on right away with the remote, the start screen is user friendly. I think the open and close door is a little flimsy but if you are careful it will last. Good deal for the price, we are very happy

For years I struggled with a player that had nothing but issues, this one is excellent, no issues, plus I love that it turned my TV into a Smart TV. I love it!

Many products hype themselves as the best there is. This Blu-ray DVD disc player comes through. It has technology which can make an ordinary DVD come very close to Blu-ray quality. The product information said so and it does not disappoint. I highly recommend this player to anyone looking to upgrade to blu-ray or looking to get a superior blu-ray player to the one they currently have. I saw a demonstration of 4K Ultra HD and in my opinion, this player can handle that, too. Great job, Samsung!
