Excellent multi-region BDP. Works with Region B easily. There is a 1-sheet instruction supplement sheet that one will need. After the first disc was set, it offers simple playback of import blu rays and DVDs. I had a Sony that failed me in this regard, so this slightly bigger LG keeps impressing me to no end as I plow through swarms of Masters of Cinema (the Criterion of UK) blu rays, oogling the vibrant colors and strong definition projected. Though the (now) $800 OPPO with multi-region function would be the best option to afford, this guy cost 1/8th the price. Recommended.

Purchased this player to replace a brand new (defective) Samsung "smart" player (but thats another story). As we previously purchased a Samsung Smart TV, we really didnt need a smart Blu-ray player, so after shopping around and reading some reviews, we decided to try this one. Great choice! Too easy to set up, and has played every disc perfectly each & every time without any problems. Will be purchasing a 4K UHD in the very near future, will try this player with it, and may just buy it again for the 4K. If you have a smart TV and want a solid player, this is the one. If you dont have a smart TV, and dont want one, this is still a fine purchase.

I was entirely satisfied with this disc player for over a year... until I purchased a BluRay disc from the UK. I followed the directions included on nhow to play it. The instructions did not work. Nothing worked. This thing plays all regions of DVDs fine. BluRays? In my experience, US, Japan and Spain yes. UK, nope. This is NOT a region-free player.

It plays everything I have, regardless of region. - Simple set up - Small footprint - Easy to switch regions for Blu ray Havent had it too long, so cannot attest to its longevity. However, it does have a lifetime warranty of the region free modifications. Has1 year manufacturer warranty on the rest of it.

My boyfriend loves horror movies. Any and all of them. He has come across issues with ordering from outside of the US and the product isnt labeled as a different region until he opens it. We dont have that problem anymore! I specifically ordered a couple of movies that are from different regions for him for Christmas and he was disappointed and said he wouldnt be able to watch them...thats when I pulled out this gift!! We watched those first, and we have had no problems with this player. Setup was super easy too of course.

Works as expected...What is a disappointment is the junky remote control. Very poor range and line of sight only. My suggestion is download a free compatible IR remote app to your phone and use that instead.

Ive tried this now with several of my British DVDs (though not with foreign blu ray disks) and it works seamlessly. Their communication is good, too. Im planning to connect it to my universal remote so I dont have to have the extra remote and they let me know that there shouldnt be any problem. Given what Ive seen so far, I expect their tech support will be good if I run into a problem with that. And they sent it quickly too - which was important since my old player had suddenly died. The fact that Im writing a review is unusual for me, so I really have been favorably impressed.

Unless theyre selling two varieties of this player, the one I received is not region free, even when I went to the web site to see why it wasnt playing a region B blu ray I bought a while back. It was there in black & white, will only play region 1 or A only. Needless to say, I was very disappointed at this but was in need of a blu ray player regardless so I just kept it and works fine. This is false advertising and should be pointed out by the manufacture on the description page of this item when a consumer is reading all the features of this item.

Remote is too directional and it starts at the first of a movie when you turn it off. So far it has played the other regions like it is supposed to.

I finally can have one single player to watch my collection of DVDs and Blue Ray Discs from different world regions. Now I can remove all other units and free space in my shelf. Image quality of old DVDs is enhanced with great resolution and color definition. Very easy to connect and operate. Only observation is the remote control, is a little too small and very light, giving you a estrange feeling, other than that is an excellent choice for the money.
