I was so tired of inkjet issues, and Wi-Fi fails/resets. I took me quite a while to realize that HP, Lexmark, etc.. werent the only home products available. This machine works without hassles. I hope this lasts for some years because of the price. I spent hours researching before finally taking a risk on this product. So far, so good. We use it for personal business/copies, homework, picture printing. Kind of a lot of money for those tasks, but it works every time, so therefore worth it to me. I just wanted to be done with replacing printers every few years and constant fiddling with a printer to get it to print. Update: Still works everytime. It will sit for weeks, then wake up every time I try to print something. I only had to reset up the WiFi once due to my internet connection failing (Time Warner). Had to reboot the WiFi device (Netgear) after the internet company mentioned did some sort of maintenance, then the printer. I dont know why others are having issues with the WiFi. This printer is the easiest thing to set up with the printers screen. I am still very happy with this purchase, I just paid a lot more than now advertised for. Now it is a bargain price. Only complaint would be its size. Big and bulky.

Install Flash Player Wow, have to update this one. Very poor life. Ordered on March 3, 2016. Delivered maybe 3/8/16. Setup a few days later. Started making loud clicking chattering sounds 3/18/2017. Just barely out of warranty. And with ONLY 3330 total images. On a printer that claims a duty cycle of 30,000 per month? It is still printing, but, something is definitely not right. Sounds like some sort of plastic gear slipping. No errors showing. Guess I am just out of luck because warranty is only one year. (Original comments: copy speed is slow for first copy of each page. It scans and then prints after it has finished scanning. I was planning to replace my desk top copy machine and printer with this, however, I think i will try to keep my copy machine because of the speed. Now the print quality is very nice and it prints fast when printing from a computer. But if you regularly want to copy 20 or more pages, you may want to look for other options.)

somebody in our office bought this printer on my company account. I dont know what since almost 50% of the reviews are 1 star. Shouldnt have ever ordered this. It stopped printing after 50 or so pages. Kept getting low density errors on the screen for yellow. I would clear one error and then the next low density error would be for cyan. We sent it back using Amazon returns and got another one only to have the exact same problem. Only this time we couldnt return it with amazon so I had to go through Xerox support. I would have just thrown this printer away but we already had another $250 invested in Xerox ink cartridges. Xerox support was useless. I do have to say that after a couple of hours of fooling with this thing I did finally find firmware updates. Now you only have a 10 second window to do this but you have to power cycle the printer and get to the sys admin software tools setting and enable software downloads and press OK. Then install the firmware update, I did mine through the network since I have the copier connected via Ethernet. You can search Xerox.com support for the firmware install instructions. the instructions stink but if you keep at it you figure it out. You have to go the device and enable firmware updates. You press the bottom white button that looks like a copier then select tools admin settings scroll down to page 2 secure settings scroll down to page 2 software download enable OK. Then run your firmware updates, the screen on the printer will show if the firmware is installing correctly. Then your printer should be able to print.

This printer is amazing! We have a few of these around my office and knew I wanted one. Produces high-quality photos and sharp looking documents. The toner for this device is quite reasonable too. My favorite feature is the ability to scan and upload documents directly to my server and scan-send emails straight from the printer. It also plays nicely with Mac! Both my Windows and Mac computers discovered this printer on my network without the need to install any drivers. The printer is a bit slow to print, but once it gets going, it prints at a decent speed. I should also add that while this device is not "truly" wireless, it can be hardwired to your network via ethernet and can print "wirelessly" to any devices on that network. I Definitely would not recommended this printer for the person that is going to be making hundreds of copies a day, but if you are looking for a multi-function laser printer that has great print quality from a trusted brand, your search ends here. I definitely recommend it!

I have had this printer for months and it has NEVER worked. I have made countless phone calls, spent upwards of SIX hours hours on the phone with customer service, and just as many hours working with on-site technicians who rarely show up when they are supposed to and have still been unable to fix the printer. After I sent answered a Xerox survey and explained how poor my experience has been, last week I received word that they would replace my printer - although no one has been able to tell me exactly when I will receive it or if it has even shipped. Yesterday I received 4 calls from Xerox in the space of 3 minutes. The first two times my phone rang I was in a meeting and did not recognize the number, so I did not answer. The third time I decided it must be an emergency so I excused myself and stepped outside. It was Xerox, calling to “confirm my legal business name.” I have no idea why this is important since I did not purchase the copier on a company account, much less why it merited repeated phone calls spaced only seconds apart. However, I confirmed the name and also corrected the address, which Xerox had wrong, despite my correcting it at least a dozen times – literally EVERY time I have called customer service over the last 3 months. The Xerox rep. then put me on hold for more than 11 minutes. Although this was at great interruption to my meeting and my work day, I feared that hanging up would delay my new printer’s delivery. When the rep. returned, he apologized for my hold and said that was all he needed from me. I questioned why he put me on hold at ALL, and he said he just had to confirm my legal business name. When I asked when I could expect my printer, he told me that he did not know and “someone from the shipping department” will contact me. Overall, this call took 14 minutes. This phone call is typical of every interaction I have had with Xerox since November. My experience with Xerox has at this point been so bad as to be comical and almost surreal. I would NEVER purchase another Xerox product and I will warn all my family and friends not to either.

This printer is not good. Not even a year, i have to replace the imaging unit. After 6 mos the printing is now very light and the Xerox technical support said i need service which will cost.... " The current rates for onsite service are $299 for the first half hour, $69 for each additional fifteen minutes, plus the costs of parts and any tax that applies" I have the older version which lasted over 5 years and i dont need to replace any parts at all, i should have kept that instead of donating it...

When I first started a search to find a multi-function color laser printer, my mind was set on HP printers. Only problems with HP color laser printers is the fact that they hardly offer price drops; unit prices are in par with other brand but no sales. Cannon came with a very nice deal on one of their printers but I was short on money for about the whole price of the printer so I missed that deal. A year passed and I ran into Xerox deal on the Amazon website. I never even considered buying Xerox since I didnt know they had consumer version of printers available. So, after researching different models, I was torn between WorkCentre 6027 and WorkCentre 6505N. The 6505N is nice if you need a large output from your printer. But 6027 has a nice touchsceen and wireless connection. The recommended printing capacity for 6505N is 2500 pages/month, and 6027 is 1500 pages/month. I might use 100 pages per month, so given the gadgets that 6027 offers over 6505N, it was no brainer for me to stick with 6027. Printer works nicely but it is a bit loud one when in operation.

Tried to go with what I perceived XEROX to be: "The best in the printer/copier manufacturing industry" just to get a piece of equipment that I could rely on for home office utilization, and paid the premium that comes with that assurance. But, "BUYER BEWARE", this is a HEAP OF GARBAGE! I spend just as much time troubleshooting this machine as I did with the $59 versions at any big box store. But here is the kicker, the genuine ink is ALMOST the SAME PRICE as a new machine! Look it up and do your research before you buy, wish I had read one like this before I bought my "large paperweight"!

This printer was defective. I even tried to get a replacement for the product and the replacement had the same problem. It would not take new printer cartridges and would not print with the current printer cartridge. So it was completely defective. When I returned the printer, which didnt work at all after 3 weeks each time, I was not refunded the full amount. I was charged $56.77 with NO explanation about why I was charged money for a defective product. I tried repeatedly to make this printer work and bought cartridges, etc. It was a waste of time and money. I would not recommend buying printers from Amazon, because they are not standing by this problem.

For reference, I have a home office network with mixed Apple and Windows computers. I connected the MFP via Ethernet to the router. With this I got full functionality across the different platforms. A few pointers: although Xerox tried to make a complex installation as straightforward as possible, you still have to know something about networks and how they operate. I ended up with several drivers on my computers, one for network, PCL6 and USB for example. I also found that it was simpler to set up my printer network settings from my PC than the Mac. One thing I discovered is that scan to email only works over USB to a PC. To get around that limitation for Macs, you can scan to a thumb drive in the MFP and then port that to your Mac. As old as Fax is, it is still used for legal documents. The fax function worked well over Comcasts VoiP phone system. Comcast has clarity in their phone lines and this is what you will need for reliable fax. I had a large 30 page fax sent from the IRS and it printed without a hitch. The color touch panel is very nice and the menus are easy to navigate through. If you are a long time Phaser user you will be in a completely familiar environment. I like the quietness of the LED print heads, there is no whine from the spinning Laser mirror. The toner cartridges come pre-installed and they are simple and hassle free to replace. I believe that my starter cartridges are full ones because we printed a lot and the gages are still up...very nice, thank you Xerox! We use our printer infrequently, but when we do we dont want to fiddle with missing ink jets. The toner based "laser" printer wins on this point, toner doesnt dry out. The prints are crisp with good character detail. Color is very nice, but dont expect photographic quality. The WorkCentre 6027 is ideal for a small office and meets my expectations, that is why I gave the MFP 5 stars. It is a very nice package.
