I bought this printer to replace a Xerox Phaser 6280 that had provided trouble-free service for over 7 years. I figured that a new Phaser was a good idea. Not so much! The first one I bought was faulty out of the box, requiring a visit from a Xerox technician. The printer kept suffering paper jams because, even though it was set correctly to letter size paper, it insisted on defaulting to the European A4 size. Expecting A4 paper, and not letter sized paper, it would jam half way through printing a page. As the technician failed to correct the fault, the seller agreed to replace this printer. This is not a good thing as shipping costs $60.00 and a 65lb printer is not an easy thing to haul around. Unfortunately, the second printer was fine until the starter toner cartridge was used up (1,000 pages). The printer refused to recognise that a new cartridge had been installed, even using an OEM replacement toner cartridge. The Xerox service center said that it might be a faulty cartridge (theyre chipped) and they would send a new one. If that was not recognised, they said it would require a second visit from a technician. Xerox promised to send out a new toner cartridge for next day deliver. However, 4 days later, it had not arrived. The seller called Xerox and, again, they promised to send a replacement toner. Obviously, they hadnt sent out the first toner. This too failed to arrive. (In fact, it hasnt shown up to this day.) Now, having been without a working printer for the best part of a month, the seller agreed to refund the purchase. I have no complaints about the seller who acted honorably at all times. However, two problematic printers, and very poor customer service, is enough to put me off Xerox for life. PS: I purchased a Brother HL-L8260CDW instead and it works perfectly. On a side note, check out the prices of OEM Xerox and Brother black toner. You will be glad you did.

Truly can’t tell you anything about this Xerox printer, guess I should have learned with my 1st Xerox, to not buy any more Xerox printers. This one Dead On Arrival with an error message, called Xerox support, and still waiting for them to come replace a part. Needless to say, printed 1 page, can’t print any more because the error message does not allow printer to function at all. Also, Xerox suooort was to come and replace whatever parts; they never called to confirm their appointment, NOR did they show for the already scheduled appt. I called today and ask tech support what the status was an I was told my date has been moved to another day, yet no one called to me me this.

Dunno, the jury is still out on this one. Just opened the box, and began the setup. During Step #7, the printer immediately indicated "Incompatible Toner (K)" I followed the prompts, only to continue to see the message. I called Xerox. The guy starts the call with "Yeah, weve had problems with that. Its a software thing." What? My question to Xerox was, if youve had problems with "the software thing" with this printer, then why is this printer still being sold? So, its a Friday afternoon and I wont have an answer until Monday as to whether or not this printer is even worth keeping. Theyre sending out a tech, BUT ITS BRAND NEW. In the meantime I have a brand new, known to be defective, printer. Awesome job, Xerox.

I got this printer because it was a home version of an office printer I use at work. Ive gotten acceptable quality prints of full colour pages nonstop out of my giant work machine, thousands at this point. As soon as I plugged this in, it was a headache to install, but that was expected. What wasnt expected, was the fact that within 100 pages, the yellow cartridge is "empty" and the other cartridges read 33%. Ive never had a similar failure on my work machine, and the cartridges are only about 50% larger. The massive disappointment is pretty apparent, but Xerox seems to want to put money in non-OEM toner producers pockets, because I refuse to pay half what I paid for the printer in each cartridge after 100 prints. TL;DR: Hard pass, not worth the hassle and needs replacement toner almost immediately. Im planning a return if I still have time.

I would stay away from this printer. I ordered one and within 2 months had to have a repair technician out to repair it. I ordered another printer because I cannot be without a printer. Now I am having trouble with both printers. I am going to go back to HP.
