Holy moly. This is the printer of the photonic future. Beep beep. Connects automatically, like freaky, like to my firewall wifi router with no password... But this thing prints incredible photos. I mean amazing. Check out the pic, those are 8.5" x 11"... absolutely stunningly crisply sharp. And its great on toner, I printed atleast 60+ high def photo quality prints on gloss (maybe more). Water doesnt make the toner run/melt either. I cant say enough about this thing. Diamond in the rough.

Okay, I purchased this printer to replace another Xerox I had for years that had finally went to its grave. Even a Xerox wont last forever. Right? Well this replacement started giving me problems in less than six months with very limited usage. It kept wanting me to replace the yellow toner cartridge, which I did twice with genuine Xerox toner, yet still would not function. At all! After doing some searching on the web I discovered my problem is a very common one with this series of printers. And the fix offered from Xerox? NONE! Replace it. Unbelievable. What a waste of time and money.

DON’T DO IT!!! I’d give 0 stars if I could. DO NOT BUY...READ others reviews. I was foolish and thought that the one I bought would be fine. So many people said that this printer was a dud and had nothing but problems. Well, you might see some of the good reviews and think it won’t happen to you...NO, it WILL happen to you. This printer is JUNK. Please, do yourself a favor and don’t buy this printer, it’s nothing but a headache. Worked great first 3 months and then broke. And a lot of people said the same thing. The good reviews are probably from people who used it the first few weeks and then it probably broke on them too after a few months. I wish someone would’ve told me that I’m crazy to buy this printer.

I cannot go on enough about this printer. I mean it. Worked straight out of the box and its flawless. TIPS: 1) Ditch the cd drive. Didnt need it at all and it slowed me down. I tried to follow it and got stumped. Its not user friendly. But these days you dont need all of that. I set the cd down and asked my computer to find the printer and just download the driver. It was set up within 30 seconds. 2) To pair it with your wifi, use the menu button on the machine itself. Hit the menu button (looks like a paper with bullet points) and use the up arrow to get to "Admin Menu". Hit ok and use the same arrow to get to "Network". Hit ok and use the arrow to get to "Network Setup" and hit ok. Choose your network name and hit ok and use the arrows to enter your password and save it. Trust me: Even though it takes time to type in your password this way, it saves a ton of time in the end. Trust the process. 3) There is an issue that has the easiest work around ever. Sometimes the computer will say the printer is offline after the computer auto sleeps overnight. This also happens with my iPhone using AirPrint. I use this printer exclusively wirelessly for every device. The only wire is the power plug in wall. Workaround: On the right side of the unit there is the power switch. Flip it off and then back on and all of your devices will see it again. Seriously. Its that simple. Personally I turn my computer, backup hard drive and the printer off every night, but most people dont. If you simply flip it off and right back on in the morning, youre good to go for the entire day even if youre not printing constantly. Buy this... dont hesitate. Its amazing. Fast. Sleek. And just the best printer Ive ever had.

I have had this laser printer for several months now but I just recently really started using it. In the very beginning I noticed that when you printed the papers would come out with a curl where they had went through the printer. I thought it was odd but didnt really feel like it warranted a return of the printer. Now however I really wish I had returned it for that reason alone. It does a goo job printing dont get me wrong no problems there but the curl of the paper is very annoying and very difficult if not impossible to get out especially when you print on card stock. I just printed 30 greeting cards for an order for my online store and I literally had to take an iron to them and Teflon heating sheets to attempt to get the cards to lay flat. Even after that they still werent completely flat but I couldnt do it more because the ink started to transfer from the cards. So now the cards are under a stack of paper packs in hopes of weighing them down to a flat position. Also, when printing on card stock you can see faint impressions of the rollers where the paper goes through the printer! UPDATE: 08/09/18 just got a message on the printer that the toner cartridge was running low, WHAT?/??? I printed the Config Page and I have only printed 115 color pages and 100 B&W pages and I am out of toner. What the heck that is just crazy.

The price is right and Ive sent several dozen of these to clients all over. Seems reasonably durable. Color wont blow your mind but its great for simple color printing - invoices with logo for example.

I love this printer! Works with Windows and Linux (Havent tested OSX or Android/Google Print.) If youve been unsatisfied with inkjets, try a nice high quality laser printer! Makes a world of difference! I can throw 300+MB images from the gimp at it and it just chews through them. I dont print a huge amount, maybe 10-20 pages a week, mostly letters to friends and envelopes. You do get barely-visible lines running through pages with full-page images -- its not quite film quality but its good for proofs and for sending photos to friends and relatives. The text is crisp and clear. The toner wont bleed like inkjet ink will when it gets wet. In the spash test I did, water beads on the surface of the image and doesnt soak through to the paper. This can sit on a wifi network if you have one, which is how I set it up. It picks its address up with DHCP and the Linux and Windows drivers do a good job of figuring out where it is so they can print to it. You set the wifi credentials up from the front panel, which is a bit clunky but you only have to do it once (At least until you change your wifi password.) The only thing I regret is not getting a second tray for it when I purchased it -- I print enough envelopes that itd be nice to have a dedicated tray for that. In fact, I think Ill order one now that Im thinking about it!

Worked for about a month then would not wake from power save. Documents in queue just came back as error. PrintingScout could not connect either, so status was always in error. On the phone with Xerox for an hour talking to a robot who eventually said theyd need to replace the printer as it is defective... Then wanted to place a hold on my credit card for $100.. That is beyond useless and I wish I had never bought this POS. I had a samsung before, it wasnt stellar either but their customer service was top notch and always helped me. XEROX get your act together, and replace this defective printer!

Not long after I got this printer, it started giving me the error "Low Density 093-921 Printer Check Cyan Toner Restart Printer" That cartridge was still full, barely used. But I did so anyway. The problem went away for a while but then it did the same for the Yellow Toner. I was fed up for a while and turned the printer off. After a couple months, I turned it on, error gone. It worked great for a couple months, and I print only 2 or 3 times a week. But then it was giving the same error for the Yellow Toner again. So took it out, put it back in, power off and on many times. Nothing improved. This time, online, I found a tip from another Amazon reviewer that there is a HOT FIX for the firmware. So I talked to Xerox Tech Support which cost $25 since its no longer in warranty. They did the firmware upgrade but the error was still there. So the tech support guy said to go ahead and replace the Yellow toner since it must have gone bad. But after I balked at replacing a toner that was 94% full, he suggested to power off and on. Now the error switched to saying the Megenta Cartridge was low. The tech support guy said that was weird but couldnt help me other than to suggest to replace the Magenta. Im done with this printer. Will get something else.

This printer is REALLY good. I switched from ink to laser because powder ink doesnt expire as fast as ink...I dont think it even expires. I like the format of the printer. It doesnt have a duplex unit, but is no big deal to take papers and then just put them back in the tray. I use it in my home network. I have it connected to my router to share with laptops and directly to my desktop. You cant use the wireless option if you have it connected to router. I just feel is more secure, and faster, to have it connected to my router. It was a BREEZE to set up! If you are using windows 10 I recommend you download the "Phaser 6022 CD package download" from XEROX. Make sure you choose Windows 8.1 and the right bit format for your system, 32 or 64 bit. The google cloud print feature did not work for me. However XEROX and GOOGLE engineers are working to solve the problem! I recommend you update the machines firmware as well. Make sure you call XEROX and register your product for warranty purposes too. You can save ink by going to PREFERENCES > IMAGE OPTIONS tab, at the bottom of the IMAGE OPTIONS tab youll see Draft Mode, you can select how much ink to save there. Just save as default and every time you print it will save you ink! GENERAL LINK [...] LINK for WIN8.1x64Bit [...] Once there you can choose any other system version you might have.
