This review is based mostly on setup for Google Cloud Print for a Chromebook. After several hours of Google searches, false starts, and support chats, I am finally printing via Google Cloud Print from my Chromebook and from Samsung Cloud Print on my Nexus phone. I am particularly aggravated because I chose this printer (over a Brother laser printer) because of the supposed "easy setup." What a joke. No real instructions, just a DVD disc that I had no way to view. (Neither of my laptops has a DVD drive.) The brief directions for connection via smartphone did not get me anywhere (repeated connection error) either. The most important thing I learned is you must have an alternate method for connecting your printer to your WiFi network. Chromebook alone is not going to do it. Eventually I was able to install the necessary drivers on a second laptop and connect the printer to WiFi via USB. That was the only way I could print on the first day. Several days later I was able to print wirelessly from the second laptop. Then I finally figured out how to set up Google Cloud Print, which was a lot more convoluted than I expected it to be. Hint: To figure out the Printers IP address, push and hold the "WPS" until stuff starts blinking slowly and it will print out the confirmation page with the IP address listed. Anyway, it seems to print fine, but the power cord is very short and you have to extend the paper tray to print, so the small footprint is deceiving. Hmm. Two stars is sounding a little generous, but it does work now.

Im about to throw this thing at the wall. Im pretty tech-savvy, but I keep getting hit with a stupid "Network Error" message. My password is correct, I restarted everything including the router and printer, etc. Still no luck. Tried it on TWO DIFFERENT MACs, both hardwire connection and wireless. Been almost 3 hours trying to do this. Now i have to leave for a game, and come back in a few hours and try again. Very annoyed at this product right now. I would return it, but got it for my father as a present in May 2018, and he didnt open it until August 2018 and so now I cant return it. We will see what happens - if anyone has any advice please give it.

Considering price point, quality, and ease of use this is a great product. Since I could turn on a computer and work electronics, there hasnt been a piece of technology I despise more than the printer. In high school and college I was always out of paper, too poor for ink, or just didnt have a printer. Ten years ago they were unreliable, had ugly obnoxious printer-specific cords, and buying ink was the difference between printing and not eating for a month. Well hello 2017 & Samsung laser printer (M2020), It was easy to set up! (Comes with its own printer software that is more like bloatware) It was hard to find the toner saving printer function, I think I had to gothru a web portal. But beside that it was easy. My phone connected, my computer did too no problem! Not a cable in sight. It already came with toner, but I bought an off brand here on Amazon for FIFTEEN DOLLARS! I believe the Samsung equivalent is $60? The first page I printed came out super dark but very very nice looking. Thats when I went to find the toner saving option that was buried under multiple prompts and caused some confusion. I think they wanted the printer to stay that way for you to use up more ink. Problem solved, pages come out lighter. Only downside is that it doesnt automatically print on both sides which I was dissapointed about. If you choose double sided it will print 1 page stop then let you feed it back in to print the other side. Pretty easy, not automatic tho. Thank you Samsung for this great printer!

After years of using a inkjet printer which I was happy with. I just got tired of buying all that ink. The ink got more expensive and refilling it myself was just not worth my time. Saw another Samsung model printer being promoted on one of the technical blogs I frequent. They were sold out. Amazon was also sold out, for the same price. This Samsung model was "suggested" so I checked out the reviews and decided to purchase for the price given! I also purchased the Samsung toner as well. I know, I know...there are off name brands that were offered cheaper. But for my first time I purchased the Samsung toner. The printer had a toner, setup CD and the USB cord included. The instructions were quite clear and easy to set up. I have a Apple IPhone 6 Plus and an IPad 2. I also have a Dell very, very old laptop. I did not plug in the printer to warm it up as instructed. I inserted the CD and followed the step by step instructions. When it came up to go wireless or USB. There was also a step where you could set up with the USB "temporarily and after setup disconnect USB." I chose that one. Followed every step, there was a point where you "Power on-connect USB" etc. and then at the "Finish." I disconnected the USB from my laptop to the printer. I checked if the Samsung was listed under printers on my Dell laptop and it was! I only had to check it as my "default." Then I checked my IPhone 6+ and there it was after I "searched for printers" and then I printed a test and it worked perfectly! I then checked my IPad2 and again there was the printer! Printed a test page and was successful. I did not download any app into my IPhone or IPad...there was no need too. The Apples just picked the printer up! And as I said before my Dell did the same. The printer is very compact and takes no space at all. It also goes to sleep after a time. But I completely turn it off when I am done using it. And the best part is the "Eco-printing" step that you can use before you print so as to save toner. It prints in grayscale! I was also very satisfied when it prints normally. The black toner works very well. Some reviews have complained on the cost of the toner. But it is not a game stopper for me,12,000 pages vs 300 in black or grayscale.

On the first print job, after running out of paper, I reloaded the paper. Nothing happened. Most printers either restart once the paper is reloaded or you have to press a resume or go button. Not this one. Spent 2 hours on the phone with Samsung. They had no idea what I was talking about. Finally, I determined on my own that the only way I could get the printer to resume printing without losing the print job was to pretend like there was a paper jam, then lift the cover, and shut the cover. Then it prints. Sent it in for repair because apparently this is not normal and was just emailed that there was nothing wrong with the printer. Every single person I talked to on the phone had absolutely no clue even what buttons or what the control panel looks like on this printer. I will send it back to Amazon straight away. Dont waste your time or money.

Purchased 12/15/2015. Used once or twice a month to print 1 to 2 pages per month ; it broke down 3/27/2016. The power button would not work. I changed power outlets. It still would not work. Tried to do Samsung warranty service online. But they rejected their own warranty saying it was expired when in fact the Samsung warranty is documented at 1 yr. Samsung sent me an email explaining they would consider replacing the printer and would let me hear from them soon. Needless to say I have not heard from them.

That headline is harsh. All consumer printers are worthless pieces of crap... This printer prints and it prints well. However, if you want to use it wirelessly you get all the printing you want after you set it up. The next time you want to print. Be prepared to spend half an hour or longer to completely reset your printer, your router, your network settings, and maybe reinstall windows while you are at it to get the stupid printer to connect to wifi again. I dont know why this is so hard for a printer to figure out... Also, support is now through HP which is even more worthless than this printer.

Printer was a hassle. It would go into sleep mode and would not wake up when sending documents to print. I had to turn it off and on so it would print. Even when I changed the settings for it go to sleep in the max, 60 mins, it would still not print. I really like Samsungs printers, but I cant understand why they do not let the user turn off the sleep mode or why I was having so much trouble. The printer was returned.

This would be the perfect printer if it would connect to wifi and have clear simple instructions. After many hours with six tech support people over two days the printer would not connect to wifi where I easily connect iPhone, iPad and Macbook to wifi effortlessly. It prints great with USB but I got it for iPad printing. The few directions that come with the machine are so cryptic, its best to just call support (which they were always there and easy to access). I got so many different reasons, you have to push WPS on your router, its doesnt work on 5 Ghz ( Fios told me my router was putting out 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz so the printer should work with 2.4), restart router, computer and printer, do it again, do it again, get another computer and do it all again..Im choosing to return it and look for a more Mac-like brand of printer. I buy Mac products to avoid this type of frustrating experience to accomplish something that should simply work. It may be just this unit has a bad wifi card, if the wifi would have connected effortlessly, I would give this 5 stars because it is nice and compact, prints well and affordable.

I did a lot of research for an inexpensive home/mobile use printer that I could use wirelessly! Im happy I came across this one. The printing is fast and professional as stated. The included toner will give you about 500-700 pages before you have to go out and buy your own. Connecting thuan printer to my WiFi router at home! Couldnt have been any easier. It literally took less than 2 minutes. You have the option to connect via your desktop or mobile app. It is SEAMLESS! We have bought this printer for business use, and has not let us down! We are truly happy with this purchase. Recently we noticed, Samsung has a similar color printer to this , and that is prob our next buy. Printing off your phone couldnt be any easier. I have clients come over all the time, and love how easy it is to print off their phones whatever documents they forgot. Shipping was fast... got here in a day ! You wont regret it....
