The wireless setup was ridiculous - poorly documented, non-linear, non-intuitive, and I do this for a living. Im going to keep it because I can still plug it in via Ethernet, but that wireless setup is a serious drawback, and if youre considering buying it for a purely wireless environment, I cant recommend it. I tried installing via the USB/wireless instructions from two Windows 10 machines and a Mac, but the wireless installation failed on all three and none of the machines would recognize the USB connection. I have to surmise that the wireless setup fail (and the subsequent installation pivot to the backup USB connection) is planned, part of the obscure installation procedure. The Samsung USA site is no help. I did find a March 2017 firmware update, and the release notes mentioned a fix for connections to a Netgear access point, but I havet found how to update the firmware yet. Installation for a modern printer shouldnt take two (or more) hours of my time. Im keeping the printer because I can use it with a wired connection (that installation was straightforward). The print quality is good, and the scans look acceptable. Samsung, spend some money on documentation and professional software.

This printer is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO freaking good. Im so glad I got it. Wirecutter recommended it and sometimes their recs are hit or miss, but this one was spot on. First of all, the most important thing is, does it connect to the wireless network? YES. The instructions are a bit convoluted, but the website that comes with it easily explains it. Second of all, does it perform the additional functions you need? YES. I used it to scan my tax returns. Easy as heck with their app. It does copying as well, but I cant confirm if it works since I didnt use that function yet. I see a lot of reviews complaining about this not connecting to macs. Well, I have an imac and macbook pro, and found setting it up to be super easy. However, maybe thse setup tips will help: 1) Dont try to connect this via wifi from the getgo. Use the USB and connect to your mac. 2) Get the app from their website, download it to your mac. Follow the instructions. 3) get the app on the appstore. Yes, theres an app you can DL to your iphone. 4) Once you connect printer to the wifi, then you can disconnect it. I think people tried too hard to connect it via wifi. But you gotta do it through USB. Only thing Im worried about is that HP handles the warranty -

Edit: The mac drivers are now up on HPs support website. New rating is 4, but I am going to leave my old rating up for "historical purposes". Previous review: Do you have a Mac? Samsung and HP dont care about you, at all. I bought this printer a few months ago, and it had been working just fine. After a WiFi/Router upgrade, I deleted the printer on my Mac and then attempted to reinstall the printer using Samsungs software. No luck. Apparently Samsung now has a deal with HP to support its printer products. The problem is that Mac drivers are no longer hosted and Samsungs servers, and they havent yet been uploaded on HPs servers. So, I can no longer print to it from my primary machine. Yes, I perhaps could finagle with Printer setup (in System Preferences) and "manage" to install the printer. But why should I got through all this hassle? Its surprising that two large behemoths have dropped the ball on a relatively new product. Until this issue is resolved, I strongly urge mac users to stay far, far away from this printer.

I replaced an aging Brother 1270 printer which inexplicably stopped printing via wifi. This looks good, works great, prints fast, was discover able on the network straight out of the box, and installation was easy with Samsungs installation app. I do wish that the PDF scan to drive didnt require Samsungs "app" to complete the operation (i.e. the PDF would just show up in your designated shared folder). Great price for this @ $120!

Fast and affordable printer, you cannot configure or setup the wifi connectivity with a chromebook. This is a problem for me. My workaround is just to leave it hardwired into my router, now google cloud print sort of works. Just be aware. UPDATE: After 6 months I have been e another significant complaint. If you intend to use Google Cloud Print you should know that you will experience a significant bug due to a "timeout error" which has no workaround. Basically when I go to print anything it just spits out a timeout error sheet and I have to just keep trying it until it works, sometimes takes up to 10 times for it to go through. It is a waste of paper and time and Im sure it is because a lot of these printer manufacturers dont like to work with Google. I have attached photos. Beware.

Great printer. The tray instructions suck, but its good after you figure it out. Works well with the Mac, though Samsunysits sucks too. I had to do a support chat with them to get the correct scan software. Print quality is good. The toner saving mode still works great. Copier and feed tray is good. Only odd thing I notice is my power blinks when I print Im guessing its the power drawl to hear the fuser. Might just be my condo.

This printer was recommended by the consultant I use on home computer issues, and he was spot on: this laser printer is a winner. It was easy to set up, even for a novice, and produces excellent copies. We are VERY light users.

Ive had it for about a week and everything is perfect so far. Prints fast, does everything I need it to do. Sent the old HP Laserjet 3200 off to the boneyard. I havent tackled the wifi thing everyone complains about yet but it does not look very intuitive, I must say that. It was either this or one of the Brother printers around the same price, but everywhere I looked said this one prints better, so I went with the Samsung and Im very satisfied so far.

This product worked fine for about...the warranty period. Latest Mac OS is not supported, and nothing I do makes me think HP will ever change that. First, it quit scanning wirelessly, and then it quit scanning via USB. I have reinstalled drivers till Im blue in the face, and scoured the "Help" sites; their own help chat system failed twice to even finish the routine. NOTHING works! OK, I could copy, or print...but this is an all in one unit! Scanning is a big reason why I bought this thing! additional comment...I tried all day to post a review at the HP Support site; it never worked! Believe all the awful things youve ever hear about HP.

I had a 13yo Samsung laser printer that had seen better days and wanted something network attachable to replace it. This fit the bill perfectly, setup was easy and after a few trips around the house for setup all PCs are now able to remote print. It prints nicely and so far the scanning utility has worked great. Its to bad Samsung got out of the printer business and this printer is now supported by HP. That said if you only need a black and white AIO, IMO this is a nice little gem for the price in a home/small office environment.
