To say I am so disappointed by this printer is a total understatement. I bought it to use for a Photo Guest book for my wedding and now I need to come up with a Plan B because this is complete garbage. 1st - You can only print the photos from within the Polaroid App. I cant imagine its any different for Android but for iOS is is a hot pile of garbage. The app is not intuitive, clunky, distorts the image and THEN takes forever to send to the printer (sometimes not at all). There is no timer in the app which is complete product miss, timer remotes do not work inside the app. I tried to create a workaround so my guests could use the iPhone camera + timer then open the photo in Polaroid app and send to printer, but that didnt work. After purchasing this (and about 200 sheets of photo paper for it) I am completely frustrated and am out money on shipping back the photo sheets. And if you plan to contact polaroid for assistance, dont bother. They are unresponsive. I suggest you do lots of homework and go with another instant printer solution because this is not worth the money, time or aggravation.

The Polaroid Zip printer is a neat little toy! The reason why I say toy is because if you want stellar prints from this printer then you are not going to get them. Dont get me wrong this printer is fun to play with and the app (which is now newly updated) works pretty well. The Zip uses 2x3 ZINK adhesive photo paper. ZINK is a technology that allows to print without the use of ink. I had the previous version of this model, the POGO. Polaroid has really stepped up their game with this model. The nice slick design and mobility of the printer is great. The photo quality, while still not amazing, is still tons better then the original POGO. I am excited to see where this technology goes in the future! I fully recommend this product to anyone who wants to easily make cute printouts of photos from their smartphones and not expect professional grade prints.

Ok, I really dont get why so many of the people hate this printer. It is mobile printer, doesnt need cartridge, you just need to buy zink paper and it prints. Some say colours come too dark, well, make it little brighter before printing. Application is not that great, but it does its job. There are litterally hundreds of applications, that can help you editing your pictures, than put your in pollaroid app and just print it. For me this is really nostalgia thing, i have used polaroid camera in my childhood, and its instant printig was really amaizng. I have few of pictures hanging in my album. So i think, you should buy this printer, if you want want to print small, sticker pictures instantly and share them with some of your friends. Want better quality pictures? go print them with proffesional printers.

This product is so amazing. I read a lot of the reviews before I purchased this item and a few people had a problem with the lighting difference between the picture on your phone and the picture that was printed. But if you just adjust the brightness in your phones photo editor, the printed polaroid turns out great! The app is really easy to use with the product and it comes with stickers and borders that you can use for free which was a nice bonus. It only took a few days to get here with the standard shipping and it came right on time in perfect condition. The only thing I was bummed about was that I wanted to use it right when I got it but the printer wasnt charged yet. But it didnt take long waiting for it to be charged so that wasnt a huge deal. Also, it takes anywhere between 3-5 minutes for the printer to actually print your photo once you hit the print button as well. But thats not really a downside, just something to keep in mind if you tend to be impatient. Overall, I really love this product and the price isnt bad for what you are getting. Im very pleased with my purchase!

We trust polaroid to deliver instant photos but this is not that. This is a minute or even two between photos when working. Most the time it is jammed or overheated we only got about 10 pictures through this thing in about an hours time not good when you are trying to deliver photo booth pictures. And the quality you expect it to be okay throughout we found that each print went down in quality until we have up near the end with very blue pictures. I would not recommend this product

The device went dead after just one use. We left it on the USB charger to PC for 10 hrs. No matter how many times we pressed power button after - device wont power on and not seeing on the phone. There is no instructions how to troubleshoot it in the manual. FOUND SOLUTION: I had to "reset" the device by using a paper clip, as it became unresponsive. here the steps: disconnect from charge, insert a paperclip into reset hole for 3-5 secs, press power button, you should see the "status" white light appear. then just follow steps to re-establish Bluetooth connection. Was able to print photos after. I guess the paperclip is "vital must-have" piece along with paper to carry on along. I think the issue caused by connecting and then charging from USB port on PC. As device arrived - we originally charged it from the wall outlet and it had no problems with powering on the device initially.

I was pretty excited to get this so I could use the prints in my memory planner. It arrived today, I had the pics ready and the app loaded. It was simple to connect to, but I didnt like the pic loaded in the print space bigger than the print space, so I had to adjust is everytime. I eagerly printed my first picture and was quickly let down. It was dark...like really dark. I thought, maybe its because its a picture taken outside at night....ill try another one. And this time I adjusted the contrast and brightness from within the app...pribted again, and was disappointed, again. Also dark. But also about taken at night. Okay, one more try....a pic taken indoors in full light. Looks beautiful on my screen, printed...again, its dark. Ive included a shot of my prints compared to the pics straight from my phone. So Im done. Not gonna waste a ton of time on it when I can use my large printer and just cut the prints out. Yeah, its not portable, but I paid less than $130 bucks for it and i get great prints for less than 50 cents a print. Bummer.

This printer does not work like advertised. I can’t beilve the reviews. EVERY picture has a pink haze where there should be white. Tried different phones and different pictures. Nothing changed. Tech support said try to lighten the picture before you print. Yeh that just made the picture more pink. It will not take clear crisp pictures so in return you get tiny pics with lots of pink backgrounds. Another Christmas present down the tubes. Disappointed to say the least.

Absolutely terrible product. It worked fine for a few weeks, and then suddenly it started having problems grabbing the paper. It will say "printing" and make a printing noise, but nothing comes out. Eventually it does, but not until after several failed attempts: I once tried printing five pictures, it took me two hours before I had four in my hand and gave up on the last one. I know several people with this printer and over half of them have similar issues, so this is not uncommon. Recently the app was updated as well. Ever since, trying to print takes forever in itself. It frequently gets stuck at the "sending to printer" stage, or it will take five minutes to get past that stage, at which point I cross my fingers hoping itll grab the paper, only to be let down. Rinse, repeat. Issues aside, even when it works the way it should, its a pretty mediocre printer. Photo quality is grainy and the colors are way off, especially skin colors which turn either grey or orange. The app is clunky and not user friendly at all, randomly deciding to stretch or turn images slightly sideways. Id be able to live with those issues if everything else worked fine, but sadly, nothing works at all. This machine works better as an overpriced paperweight, which says a lot because its lightness makes it a terrible choice even for that.

I’m giving this one star because it did turn on and properly pair with my iPhone. That’s where the success stops. It took many tries to get it to eject the blue calibration paper and several more tries to get it to even attempt to print a photo and when it did it jammed. I could barely get the jammed paper out and subsequent tries wouldn’t print at all, blank paper. I’m a fairly technical person and insured proper placement of paper and following the Quickstart instructions to a T.
