Install Flash Player I don’t usually write reviews…in fact, this is my 1st one on Amazon. Since most reviews aren’t giving much other than “It’s great!”, I’ll try to include as much as I can. I purchased this mini photo printer (Kodak PM-210) on 27-December-2016 from DBROTH for $99.99USD, as well as a 50sheets cartridge pack (PMC-50) for $34.99USD. It was extremely EASY to setup and start printing…the Quick Start Guide showed 6 simple steps. CONNECTING USING WiFi Direct: I used WiFi Direct from my Android Tab and at 1st (before I opened the Kodak app), I was confused as to whether the printer was actually connected to it, since I didn’t see the word “Connected” on the WiFi Direct settings screen. Instead, it displayed, “Tap here to disconnect”. However, when I opened the Kodak app, I confirmed the printer was indeed recognized and connected. So basically if it’s your 1st time using WiFi Direct, you’ll know the printer is connected if you see “Tap here to disconnect” in the WiFi Direct settings screen…or maybe it was just me. DIMENSIONS & PHOTO QUALITY: The dimensions of the printer are as stated on Amazon and the photos are indeed credit card size (I used an actual credit card cut-out for comparison). This printer uses dye transfer technology which prints excellent quality photos…on one website I read it’s 300dpi, which at the moment, is better than every other handheld photo printer on the market. However, in case you didn’t know and you’re expecting the image brightness or saturation to be EXACTLY as seen on your mobile device, please note that due to different screen resolutions on computers and mobiles, brightness and saturation MAY SEEM slightly off in the final print-out when compared side by side. CARTRIDGES: This printer comes loaded with an 8-sheet cartridge (normal back). The cartridges are 2 in 1 (paper & ink), which comes in normal & sticky photo backs. Normal cartridges are available in the pmC series (20, 30 & 50sheets pk) and Sticky-backs are only available in a 20-sheet pack as pmS-20 (I haven’t yet found this on Amazon USA...only UK) and I’m guessing the ‘S’ stands for “Sticker”. In my video (please excuse the poor quality & shakiness of my camera), I left the speed at “normal”, so you can see the average printing time and speed for 1 photo. NB: I used an image from the web as my 1st print in the video. The photo goes in & out for approximately 4 times (3 being colour & the final being the overcoat). The app also shows which stage the photo is at, eg. Yellow 1/1. The little extra white piece at one end of the pic is to bend & remove and the final print-out is borderless. In conclusion, I would like to say this prints great quality photos and the price is better than most, if not, all of those other mini/handheld photo printers. I would have loved if there was a custom protective hard case made for the printer, it’s USB cable and up to 5 cartridges, but I’m sure I can find 1 to hold it for now. ***Update*** CASE(S) FOR KODAK MINI PRINTER PM-210: (1) USA Gear Kodak Mini Printer Case (Nylon, Shoulder Strap) - $19.99USD (2) Khanka BESTEK Converter Case (Hard Cover, Wristlet-type Strap) - $17.99USD At the end of my initial review, I wrote that my case preference for this printer would be hard cover. Since I already owned a BESTEK Converter Case (made by Khanka), I decided to try fitting this printer into it. I managed to fit 2 cartridges & USB cable into the netted pocket and the printer in the other half (Photo attached). However, this case has a wristlet-type strap, but if you’re into shoulder straps & ‘soft’ materials, the other case I came across on Amazon is specifically designed for this Kodak Mini Printer (USA Gear).

I so wanted the hp sprocket to win. Its smaller and quicker and has Bluetooth. I watched countless reviews and could not make up my mind so I got them both. Printed the same picture on each and while both are great pictures I prefer the Kodak printer with dye sub over the sprocket with zinc. I prefer the cooler crisp print with truer skin tones vs the warmer muted print. I like the bit larger print too. If you prefer softer muted prints you might prefer the sprocket. I think the hp sprocket app has more choices and is a nicer app. Im not thrilled that Kodak went with WiFi only. I think theyll probably realize the error of their ways and come out with a Bluetooth option in their next generation, and add a bit to the price tag, which I would be fine with. Overall its a great little printer and will come in handy on my trip so I can print things out for family. Im taking a star off the review for the lack of Bluetooth, come on Kodak....

I just got this printer and really like it. It was very easy to set up on my iPad with Wi Fi, just turned it on and went into settings. The Kodak printer popped up right away and then I added the password. It prints really great quality pictures.

I purchased this camera and the HP Sprocket and the photos for the Kodak are more clearer in quality and true to color. The Kodak Mini Mobile must be connected to your phone via Wi-Fi and you cannot exit the app while printing and the frames in the app are okay, but I thought it was neat that the app has a layout to print out business card. I preferred connecting the Sprocket with my phone because it just uses Bluetooth and youre able to exit the app. In order to connect the Kodak Mini, you have to connect to the printers Wi-Fi. The Sprocket is a bit quicker than Kodak, but for me, it all trickles down to quality and Kodak takes a win for that. I did make a review video on Youtube comparing the two.

Im a big fan of Instax instant cameras and own two of them as I love taking pictures and giving them out to people ! Recently I was introduced to the product by a friend and first I was taken by the price which is actually cheaper than an instax camera, then by the quality of the actual photos. It is easy to connect to the phone as long as you have a smartphone with NFC, you merely tap the phone on the device and it connects right away. The printing process is not as long as I expected it to be. It took four step printing process of, first yellow color, then red then blue and lastly coating over the photo. It took about a minute or two to print one photo. You could also print multiple photos and still use your phone while the photos are being printed! I always ended up wasting lots of my instax films due to lighting/flash/just wrong angles but this saved me on all of these as the photos are taken with my phone and can be editted before printing as well. I would still love my instax cameras for the classic effects they give and having unexpected results, but I am definately going to used this mini printer more as it is very efficient and also would save me costs on films. Highly recommend it! Im also posting pictures printed from the device and instax camera together so whoever reading this could compare. The photo size is slightly larger as well.

This is the worst purchase ever! It started great and photo quality was amazing, but then it all went wrong. The printer stopped picking up paper. Or it would pick up paper and then have different colors. Awe full experience. I tried to contact Kodak customer service and they never came back to me. So a complete waste of money - both on the printer and 5 cartridges. Now I have to invest in a different printer...

I give it a mixed review. The quality of the pictures arent the quality I hoped for but I am still satisfied. The app is easy to use.The greatest dissatisfaction the at times renders this printer useless is the number of attempts and length of time it takes to connect to my phone. At times, I cant succeed and when I do, it can take up to an hour. It is absolutely ridiculous. Lots of time, my phone (an Android) will connect via wifi, but the app will say not connected. I also try NFC, same results. This situation is worse considering the battery life is pretty short and most of it is wasted in trying to connect. Very time consuming process. The point of a portable printer for me was to use for journaling, which is meant to be quick and relaxing. The experience is quite the opposite. Ive tried it with two Android phones and one iPhone.

First off, I end up returning this item because the battery life was so terrible! I wanted to use this for a wedding photo guest book, but the battery dies after 8 prints so that was definitely not going to work. Unfortunately, it is not recommended to charge and print at the same time so using an external battery was not an option. As for the print quality, the print is pretty good! I think this product is better for those who only need to print a hand full of photos at a time and have no problem waiting an hour or so in between recharge.

The first time I used it, the printer printed approximately 8 to 10 pictures and then stopped working. The message on the app said the battery was too low to print but it was plugged into an outlet so go figure. I unplugged it, turned it off and then back on, but it still would not work. It also lost connection constantly requiring you to leave the app to go back to settings to reconnect and then back to the app to print. Very aggravating and VERY disappointing! Dont waste your money!

The printer worked well enough the two times I got to use it. However, anyone with an android phone upgraded to 8.0 Oreo or above will find that the kodak mini printer application will see the printer, but never be able to connect. I recommend anyone considering this printer look at the reviews of the "Kodak Printer Mini" application on google play. The application hasnt been updated since June 2017, and has been broken for these phones since then. It is completely unacceptable for Kodak to fail to update their application for one year, with a defect which completely prevents users from using the printer. Completely ignoring this represents unacceptable customer service from Kodak, and should signal to anyone considering this printer the support they can expect.
