What can be said about this handy little toy? KiiPix gives you a cheap and easy way to print retro style photos. The instructions seem simple enough: Just attach your phone on the plate, pop it onto the legs, press a button, and turn a dial. I brought it to a barbecue and it was an instant hit! At the same time, It was a little tricky to ensure that different makes of phones would fit on the plate itself, and attaching the plate to the legs of the KiiPix. Some photos, like darker ones, didnt turn out as well as brighter ones. My friends had a good time passing the KiiPix around and showing off their photos. I can see this going over well at parties and school events. Its really satisfying to hold a photo in your hands that you printed yourself! All in all, a cool low tech solution to one of modern lifes problems.

Little jinky- That would work in a pinch being that it doesn’t need to be charged. If you’re looking for something inexpensive this is a good way to go. However, sadly I will be returning mine

I have been looking for a way to display photos of library patrons reading and enjoying our K-4 library. After reading mixed review about the KiiPix, I was not sure about it, but for the price I decided to take a risk. I am glad I did. This little gadget fits my need perfectly. For me, tech items do not usually work as easily as ads proclaim. However, last night I decided to get started. To my amazement, after about 10 minutes, I had 8 nice pictures copied off my cell phone. The mini size, ease of print, and stiff photo result that does not curl are perfect for my display needs. Basically, these are mini polaroids of cell phone pictures.

Omg, I love this thing! In my younger days, I would shoot with all sorts of Polaroid cams...different models that used 600 film, Joycam, Mio, I-zone...hell, even my 1st digital camera was a gigantic Olympus that ALSO printed on 500 film. Yes, youre essentially taking a picture of your phone screen, so this acts as somewhat like a darkroom photo enlarger, but on a much smaller/portable scale! Edited- i saw another review, and what I really meant was pinhole camera, haha. No batteries or bluetooth connection needed! I feel like the charm of instant pictures is the surprise of how theyll turn out, how the prints arent super crisp and are kind of dreamy and blurry, if that makes sense. I love this gadget because the results are SO similar to OG polaroid prints! Plus you can do multi exposures, if thats your thing. Just remember, brightness all the way up and turn off screen rotation, you know, follow the instructions. Now I havent used any other instant pic printers, because theyre sort of pricey, but this is an absolute steal! Sidenote, Holga is currently running a Kickstarter campaign for something incredibly similar, but more $$$. Just get this one!

The price was so low, I should have known better. This would be a great little stocking stuffer for a kid but the picture quality and size disappoint. I had Polaroid cameras back in the day and the pics do have that "look", but, contrary to what some reviewers think, I believe the quality is marginal at best. I tried adjusting my camera phone settings several times with the same picture and different pictures and, unless the picture is very bright to begin with, it does not come out satisfactorily. Too bad. I wanted to use this as a fun thing at my family get together but it just doesnt deliver what I was hoping for. Save your money and buy something a little more quality. Actually, when I saw the manufacturers name on the box - TOMY - I recognized it. They are a toy manufacturer. So it makes sense.

Was so excited about getting this and it was horrible. It seemed like a few pieces on it were broken and every time I tried to print a picture it seemed like it was fine but then it either turned out super dark or just completely black with weird shadows. I read all of the directions and did everything the right way but it only worked for one picture and I wasted a whole pack of film. I’m definitely asking for my money back.

This is a decent little printer if you dont mind losing a few prints every so often. Overall you get what you pay for. The process is really simple, but kind of finicky. You raise frame, line up your phone, hit the shutter, and crank out your photo. The finicky bits - First off, your phone. It takes a bit to figure out the right brightness for your phone, and the brightness level depends on how light/dark your photo is. There is a fixed, but unknown, shutter speed, so the only thing you can change is the brightness of your phone. I get about the same number of properly exposed photos with this as I do with my instax camera, so not really a huge loss Second, the crank, or more precisely, the knob that should really be a crank. You have to turn it really evenly or else you get lines on the photo where you stopped. If this had an actual crank handle it would make this much easier. As it is, Ive found the best way to get an unlined photo is to hold the knob in one hand and rotate the unit instead, as if it was a crank. When you get it right, they are about the same quality as any other instax photo, not super sharp, but decent. Photo advance not catching - I had 1 photo not come out of the box. This happens when the little advance lever misses the edge of the photo and cant push it forward into the rollers. The fix I used was to open the back and push the top exposed photo forward pull it out by hand, then put the film cartrige back into the box and crank out the next photo. This ruined the first photo, and the one below it. In hindsight I probably could have gone into a dark room(bathroom with the light out, closet, whatever) and moved the top photo a bit to get it to catch, and not lost either photo, but it hasnt happened since, so I havent tried it yet.

Im not the type of person to leave tons of reviews, but I cant help but share the love for this product. Such great value considering how well it works and how great it is that you dont need to charge it or deal with bluetooth connection on your phone. Such a simple, straightforward "low tech" design that brings you pretty much the same thing as the "high tech" $80-$140 phone printers from HP, Canon, Fujifilm, and Kodak. Ive been wanting a phone printer cuz I could never justify buying an instax camera when I already carry a standard digital camera with me most days (I shoot with a fujifilm xt20) and I already have an iphone... So... this thing truly suited my needs perfectly. Perhaps the higher end printers will give more vibrant colors, but Im pretty happy with mine and I havent had any of the problems like having the photo come out all black. The rolling effect does come through ever so slightly, but that doesnt bother all that much. I think it adds to the charm of the photo. Anyway, I cant say enough good things about this product and how happy I am with it. If youre eyeing it, definitely grab it! Its worth every cent. Be sure to align your phone screen properly with the given frame so that you dont get funny borders on your picture. The frame is designed to sit on top of the printer in a flushed position, so if its off, that could also affect how the printer comes out. Im honestly so happy with this little printer, and I cant wait to take it with me while traveling and share polaroids with friends and fam on visits, as well as just have little polaroids I can put into my bullet journal now. The photos were printed in slightly dim room light and my iphone screen was at its brightest! Hope these tips help. Have fun!

I ordered three for Christmas gifts. I purchased films to go with the printer. I opened one orinter to make sure it worked as it had been described. It would not advance the film. The film stuck inside the printer. Fortunately, I am able to return the printers for full refunds. However, Great Scoops, who sold me the film, will not accept the film that was ruined in this junk printer and I have requested via email that the printer sellers refund me the cost of the film that was ruined but I have not received a response from them and likely wont. Now I am out $17 for a box of film that was ruined in this junk printer.

I bought this product because The thought of being able to print a picture from my phone like a old school Polaroid seemed like a really cool idea! The printer is smaller then I was expecting, and is not too difficult to use. The one thing I would recommend is that you turn your screen brightness as high as it can be, because if its not the picture well come out too dark. I ruined a couple pictures this way. I will enjoy using this product to preserve some of my favorite pictures in a more physical format!
