Ten times better than the Polaroid Zip! About 5 times faster photo transfer to the printer and 3 times faster print speed. Software is a winner over clunky Polaroid app. This one is a keeper.

Great idea in theory, but could use work. The stickers, frames and text additions are very fun. However, the quality isnt great and I expected better since the images are smaller and shouldnt require as much work as a larger hi-res image. The photos all pulled very very yellow compared to the originals (see example). The worst part is that you cant print photos that have been edited using your phone. iPhones have a pretty basic editor that allows you to change color, light, etc and the HP app would not read them. The image just came in blurry like it was trying to load but never did (see beach photo example). This happened with about 6 different photos before I figured it out. So you have to take a screenshot of the edited photo for the app to pick it up as a new photo. With so many other services out there doing similar things for a lot less money, its better to leave this behind.

I absolutely love this little printer! I bought this with the intention of using it to create a calendar of my dog, so I can gift to my family. I started drawing on pics of my dog for every holiday sometime last year. So i now have every month/ major holiday covered and a calendar was next step. Ive already made a few and they look good. I added an early project picture as an example. Sprocket is also perfect for my job. The 2x3 pictures are a great size to display all our associates on our break room CARE board. Now, if an associate gets recognition or award, we pull their picture and display it in the recognition section of the board. The printer itself is small and prints in seconds. The fact that it requires "no" ink, is what sold me. The app is easy to use and its fun. For reference, Im a 39 yr old guy. If you are looking for a small printer and dont need anything more than 2x3s, look no more. This IS the one to get.

its very small and compact. the picture quality isnt all that great and thr pictures come out lighter than the original, but you can fix that with the app. The app that you use to print with is great. you can do all sorts of stuff. if you are looking for great quality pictures this is not for you. I would say conside this to be like a photo booth picture experience with friends and family sort of thing. the sticky picture paper is great for scrapbooking. After getting over the quality, ive come to really enjoy it. -side note- so far the cases for the photo plus that are on amazon ive bought and returned two diffrent brands and they both come with a horrible smell. I just have it in a little maleup bag at the moment, untill i can find one that doesnt smell. I added a couple pictures, the one with the cat and the red shirt mayb look like it has glare but it doesnt. thats how white wash the photo looks. I also added a picture with a water bottle for refrence as to its size.

The image on the left is from my HP Sprocket and the picture on the right is from the Canon ivy. I wanted a small photo printer to use for bullet journalling and went with the HP Sprocket because even though there were A LOT of bad reviews, there were still a ton of good reviews and it seemed like the easiest choice for what I needed. Big mistake. Please listen to the bad reviews and go with another small printer - like the Canon ivy. As you can see, the picture quality is so much better and it has the same 2x3 printouts on sticker paper. There was no difference in editing, I printed the exact same image

Over the years Ive bought cameras, used the film, invested in gear and gained a lot of experience to live to tell the tale. With that said, I can explain to you why this product is what you want vs these small vintage-era portable film cameras offer. I bought this as a mothers day incentive so that whenever a holiday comes around, i can print a photo off and give it to them as a friendly gesture. 1. The quality of the photo taken from your phone, is transported onto this device. Meaning, instead of risking wasting film on trial and error, unsure of what youll get --- you simply take a photo of anything with your camera, and you can print it off. Easy as that. The better (phone) camera, the better end product. 2. Customization. With the onboard software, which Ive reviewed and was thanked by the HPSprocket Team, allows you to edit, critique, or just make a photo something entirely new. 3. Personal Achievements: Sometimes we get rewards from our phone, via a email, video game, or just a simple notification. Instead of screenshotting that and sending it to your friend, asking for the same, equal excitement --- you can print that screenshot off, put it in a photo album, and allow yourself to make a bookmark of achievements. The photos Ive provided will show you some of the things Ive achieved in this year alone and how this device helps with my accomplishments. 4. Stickers. You can apply stickers to virtually any photo you upload onto your sprocket; even as far as taking photos and turning real life animations/stickers/logos and making youre very OWN stickers to apply to your OWN photos! I hope that makes sense; its easier shown than read. Youll get it once you play with the software 4. Up to date software. This is important among all hardware and film. If the software doesnt work, the hardware and YOU, dont either. Updated frequently, with the ability to upload your own photos in case you need that storage on your phone. 5. Film. inexpensive, slightly small, and wallet sized. Depending on the model device you get, this effects the film length/price. I got this model for the cost of film is independent from buying the device. Cons: The color in the photos isnt always the best, and the device needs to be plugged into something for more than 2-4 photos. but the ability to do some of these things with film is extraordinary in the first place; whats the saying? Dont look a gift horse in the mouth? With all these these pros, and slight cons, I would suggest this over film any time. You get to practice using digital film, (your phone or what have you.) the film is inexpensive, and the virtual customization is in any shape, way, possible. Superb choice for those interested in editing photos. The photos above are things Ive done with mine. :)

The Android app absolutely _refuses_ to work unless you allow it access to your location. If you allow location access just to install and disable it later then the app with refuse to do anything. And dont forget agreeing to robust data tracking, targeted adds and acknowledging HPs "privacy" policy. I really rather pissed about this product as Ive rarely been by any other. An I really the first of 1400 reviewers to notice this? Or have any such complaints been disappeared?

Works pretty well. Be forewarned that when you print your first photo, the blue paper with the bar code is spit out first. When that happened to me, I hit the apps print button a second time and ended up with 2 identical photos. The colors look true to me, unlike some other commenters. Its cool that the photos have a sticky back although its difficult for me to peel. This might get easier with practice. So far, Im satisfied with this new little toy. I plan on having a fun weekend with family using this portable printer. Im definitely going to try a cheaper brand of photo paper while using the original bar code cardboard thingy as recommended by others. Edited to add: Sometimes this device "disappears" from my bluetooth connections on my Samsung Galaxy S7 phone. No other bluetooth device has given me problems. Anyway, I have had to reboot my phone a few times to pick up the Sprocket photo printer which is a big inconvenience. Knocked off a 2nd star for that.

Photos don’t print anywhere close to how they appear on your phone’s screen. Everything prints on the yellow/warm side. Yes our iPhones have the latest os. Yes the sprocket is running on the latest firmware. Yes we calibrated the sprocket as per instructions. The color temp is way off on everything we print. As a work-a-round, we edited some photos in another app - yeah one can’t edit color temp in the sprocket app - and made them cooler. This didn’t help matters, the color temp is still off. We’re sending this thing back.

Excellent product and perfect for teens. My kids love this printer. The quality of the print is pretty good, not perfect. But for such an incredibly portable unit (about the size of a cell phone) they are amazing. A great unit for kids to take pictures on a trip and print them out immediately or two take a picture with friends and give them a printed image instead of a digital one that gets lost in the sea of digital images we store on our phones. The print paper also has a peelable sticky backing which allows kids to put the pictures on lockers or in albums. Very nice.
