This does not work with recent Apple products. We tried two iPhone Xs, an iPad Pro and an older iPad. Each says the accessory is not supported - first device I have ever encountered that is just totally incompatible. HP’s support website is littered with posts asking HP for help and none of their techs seem to have any clue and HP does not seem to be doing anything about it. Really a shame. I cant imagine why no one at HP isnt taking this more seriously. Do not buy this if you use Apple products.

The new design I’m not crazy over but I bought this for the AR quality in the app and the “higher print quality”. It’s all as advertised except the print quality is not great. The color is off (but I half expected this), some photos come out with blue streaks (even the high quality images), and the White’s are way bright in most of my images. I can over look the white’s and off color however the blue streaks are not cool. And especially as a photographer who prints on the normal I’m not blown away by these prints. They get my journaling job done and that’s the reason I love it. But the print quality is sub par.

Bought this as a gift for my daughter. It is the so much fun to have. She has printed tons of pictures and we are very happy with the quality. It stopped printing pictures randomly and I had to reset it by pushing a small button on the back and it was good to go again. The refill packs are not expensive like other brands which is why I chose this one.

Bought this for my daughter as I wanted to see how it worked out before purchasing one for myself. The quality of the pictures are lacking somewhat in reference to the coloring but overall I did like the color and design of it. Gave it 4 stars because, I probably will purchase one for myself soon.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and she is very happy with it. The pictures come out surprisingly well. I’d definitely purchase again.

Its an average quality printer. Very small (2x3) prints. Uses a lot of power for such a small device. It needed a recharge after just a few prints. Very easy to carry around. I wouldnt recommend it, though.

Print quality is acceptable but comparing it to my selphy printer the printout seems to be flat and dull. Not sure if it can still be adjusted. Portability wise this is so convenient to carry around. Its just like carrying a power bank. Cost of consumables is a bit pricey. Average price per print is $0.50.

Hands down best ZINK printer on the market (trust me, ive tried many). Photos arent as good as youd get from actual ink, but definitely amazing for zink quality, and the refills are the cheapest and most reasonably priced sticker backs i have found! Returned mine coz the machine is a bit expensive for me, but definitely a great product!

The quality of prints that come out of this HP Sprocket is not great. BUT you have to realize this thing is TINY and it prints full color pictures with no ink, only heat! That is really pretty amazing! Its about the same weight as my iPhone 7 Plus. Its about the same width, but its a lot shorter and about twice as thick. Its super easy to use. The top pops off so you can load the paper, then plug in the USB cable and its good to go as long as youve got the HP Sprocket smartphone/tablet app. OK, lets talk about print quality. This printer will print 2"x3" photos with full bleed (meaning it prints right up to the edge). If you look up close, the detail in the photos is pretty incredible. It can render very fine details. These prints are definitely not fuzzy or blurry; they are very crisp. The weakness of this printer is in the color. Theres a very strong blue cast to the most of the images. Skin tones come out pretty good in some photos and terrible (like a Smurf) in others. I havent fully figured out why skin tones vary so much; it seems like if the skin tones are near something thats very dark, like a black shirt, then the printer turns them blue. If you print black-and-white images, they come out pretty blue too. So, some images just come out better than others. Im starting to get a feel for images that will work and images that wont work so well. Editing them before printing will help in some cases, but it will take some trial and error to get results. From my 10 prints so far, Ive got one print from it thats actually really good and that I wouldnt believe you if you had told me it came from a printer the size of my iPhone. Other prints are pretty horrid-looking in terms of skin tones, and some others are somewhere in between; they look alright from a distance but fall apart if you really analyze them close up. I think the real purpose of this printer is to have fun with it. Of course its never going to compete with an inkjet print or a professional lightjet print. Dont buy this for printing heirloom-quality family photos to put in an album, but do buy it to have fun with it and print out instant photos to give to friends or stick on a notebook. The HP Sprocket app has some fun overlays and frames that you can add to your prints. As of right now the replacement paper is on sale for about 25 cents a sheet, which isnt bad at all. Regular price is about 50 cents a sheet. Im sure as time goes on, the "zero ink" technology will improve and the colors will get better. For now, this is a pretty amazing and fun product if you dont take the results too seriously. In this age of digital photos where hardly anyone prints photos any more, I think having a tiny printer you can carry with you anywhere is a pretty cool thing.
