Totally regret buying this printer. Literally NEVER connects to my computer via wi-fi which is the main reason I bought it. Im not sure if its supposed to come with a USB connection, but my package did not have one otherwise I would default to that. And going through troubleshooting never seems to fix it. Im not sure if others have had this problem, but when it does seem to work (which is rare) its only on one computer at a time. So sometimes it will work if Im printing from our desktop computer, but then it wont print from my laptop and then I have to go through set up allllll over again from my laptop. But then of course, it will stop printing from the desktop and only print from the laptop and the cycle continues. Im getting frustrated even typing it out, wish I could return this complete waste of money :( Save your money, time, and frustration and do not purchase.

Not even 6 months old and its temperamental. Message: Cartridge Problem One or more cartridges are missing or damaged. Blah Blah Blah We are not heavy users to add insult to injury. Replacement cartridges are expensive enough, that might as well chuck the unit and get a new one. Please God, let there be an honest OEM out there somewhere.

Ive had this product since October 16, and it is broken now. It says in the window that it has a paper jam. It doesnt have a paper jam. I followed the directions to clear the jam then it said the printer wasnt shut off properly. The printer was shut down correctly. Now its broken and I just bought new ink. Im a writer and have another business where I need a printer. WHAT WILL I DO? GO BUY ANOTHER PRINTER, HOWEVER, IT WONT BE A HP!!!!!

I cannot begin to say how disappointed my wife and I are with this printer. If I had any sense, Id walk it to the trash can rather than waste one more minute with it. Weve been purchasing HP printers since the mid 1980s and have never seen such funky printer driver software. The driver caused my wireless HP Officejet Pro x451dw to fail and since I gave up and handed it to her (some rotten husband I), she is wild with frustration (and she was a LAN manager for a large firm, very skilled) but the scanner driver has stepped on her Scanjet. This may be the last product from HP that my wife and I purchase. Do yourself a favor and avoid this sad piece of technology.

Terrible connectivity and software issues. As so many people have stated, and yet I held out faith that it would work for me. Im a Software Consultant, which by no means makes me an expert, but I say that just to indicate that I have decent knowledge of how to set up wireless connections and install drivers. The setup process was not smooth, and I frequently got an error that the setup tool could not connect wirelessly (Ive never had issues with any other wireless setup - printers, laptops, phones, etc.) and even when I was able to get my printer connected on one attempt, the printer would not scan - instead the software would hang and eventually I gave up and quit trying. Its great that some people were able to overcome these issues and make the printer work, however in my opinion, printer installation should be seamless and require almost no effort. Its not worth my time to spend any more minutes troubleshooting these issues - and if its any indication of issues that could occur over the next couple years with this printer...no thank you. FYI - Im on Windows 10, 64-bit.

This printer is a piece of junk. It never prints without streaks or missing lines. Every time I have to clean the heads through all three cleaning processes. I would like to return it for another one, if possible. I have been a good customer to Amazon and would appreciate it if I can return this one and try another. I travel a lot and am not home to always use the printer. I have attached a picture of what it looks like after the third level of head cleaning. Thank you very much

After 8 months the printer is still functioning perfectly. I subscribed to the lowest level of "Instant Ink" and am still using the first set of replacement cartridges (the cartridges that come with the machine contain only a minimal amount of ink). I see many reviewers complaining about how fast the printer goes through ink and how much it costs. I have owned Epson, Canon, and HP ink jet printers and find this to be true of all of them. Changing brands wont find you cheaper ink. My solution--two printers. My default printer is a $99 Brother black and white laser that I use for all my everyday printing and prints several thousand pages from one $50 toner cartridge. I dont even turn the HP on unless I need to scan, fax, or print in color. It does those functions well, but the laser is a lot cheaper to operate and a lot faster.

My old HP Photosmart C6180 finally stopped working, and I upgraded to this OfficeJet. So far, so good. I can print and scan just like before, and it only took a few minutes to get everything up and running. The double sided printing is quite fun to watch, as it prints a page and then sucks it back in to print the other side. Scanning worked fine. I have yet to test the feeder or print-to-edge. Print/scan speed seems about the same as my old Photosmart. [Update: 3/29 - the scan speed is *way* faster than my old Photosmart.] I *never* install the default HP driver bundle, because my experience has been they load it with gigabytes and gigabytes of bloatware that I dont ever need and really dont want, and which gets in my face with annoying popups and reminders trying to change my buying habits. This go around, all I did was manually configure the WiFi on the printer, and I updated the MAC address on my router reserved-IP address list from the old PhotoSmart to this device, and my PC printed and scanned seamlessly. It even detected the new model (I run Windows 10) and I did not need to install any new drivers, and certainly nothing that came on the CD with the printer.

I have had a problem from the start with the wifi connection to this printer. After a few hours, i either need to restart the printer or my router to get it to work. I contacted HP support and gave them access to my laptop and they insisted the problem was fixed but it wasnt. Unfortunately, i guess I waited too long to return it to Amazon, so it will have to go to the electronics recycler. Have already ordered a different printer. Very disappointed.

Perhaps this is my unique experience, but unit was unpacked, set up, connected, and ink (privided with printer) installed as per manufacturers directions. Powered up, and immediately got a paper jam message that I am unable to clear. Followed instructions on printer - no progres. Went to HP Site, followed instructions - no progress. Very frustrating
