Fits right in my tv stand. Of course I have to take it out to print, but at least it has its own place. Also, Ive never had a printer that prints this fast. Amaizing.

Printer set up wirelessly fine. Then could not detect the paper for scanning. Then could not shut down. Called HP support. They said that since there was no serial number on the machine, and only on the outside of the box, they believed it was not an original printer and I should buy HP printer directly from their website. (Their website was also $20 cheaper). Do not buy from Amazon. They are selling used printers for more money than the original printer through HP.

I put this in my car so I could print from it a few times a month. I usually get one print or scan and when I try to turn it back on a few days later, its always dead. So I have to lug the printer back up to my place and charge it just to put it back in my car to hopefully get one more session of printing/scanning. Its a really really simple barebones printer. If the battery worked, it would get at least three stars. As is, basically wasted $300. Edit: I got a $25 power inverter so I can plug it in while its in my car so that kind of fixes the problem.

I drive a truck and find myself having to send paper work to our shipping office. I use a Verizon jetpack and set up was very easy. Using my phone and laptop with this printer has been a breeze.

This printer is FANTASTIC I had no problem connecting to it with my iPad mini 2 and my iPhone 7 No HP app needed, was able to WiFi direct connect with the printer Printer is quick to respond/start printing when commanded from both devices This is definitely a must have if you want/need to print on the go from iPhone/iPad

When researching a new printer I found so many reviews to be negative or contradictory that making a decision was difficult. So Im back to offer an emphatic endorsement of this printer, which Ive now had for about a month. Theres always a little bonus when you get the latest technology after limping by on an outdated machine, so I find this printer to be refreshingly fast, crisp, and convenient. Printing and scanning work well as does the wireless connection. Im using it with a Retina iMac and setup was very simple. Just recently I had the chance to try it out on the road and the battery power and fairly easy wireless setup sealed this 5-star review.

I purchased this printer ealy last year (2017). My use for it was a static one(on a desk) in a location with occasional power. No dust problems, etc. Very light utilization - I routinely used it to scan 3 (small) documents per month, and very occasional printing. Still using the shipped ink reservoirs. ABout 3 months back, I tried scanning, and basically got a bunch of vertical lines. To trouble-shoot, I disconnected from PC and all devices, and tried the built-in Copy function. Same result - vertical lines. Kinda sucks, all things considered! Probably scanned less than 50 pages total, and printed less than 200. Lets see... thats more than $1/page considering the life of the unit!

I had technical problems with this printer. I know HP is a very popular brand, for that reason I bought this printer, I’ve never needed the technical support before. I had the most upsetting experience with this department. They take too long to connect you with a technician and when you finally get it, the quality connection is bad, they speak a not clear English and it was very hard for me to understand him. When I was finishing all questions and procedures to determine I need to receive a printer replacement, the phone call was lost. I had to call again and passed to one extension to another. To resume: after several phone calls, I discovered the technician forgot to generate the replacement order and nobody from HP could help me. Thanks God Amazon has an excellent Customer Care and helped me out returning the printer and getting my money back. I don’t think HP is a bad brand, but the technical support is unacceptable.

I have seen cases to carry this around, but didnt get one. We bought it partly for me going to a Residency class at Grand Canyon U and partly for my wifes law office to do on-site estate plans. Both require both printing and scanning. Scanning is really nice, as would be expected by HP, but is not two-sided, so if you arent use to doing one-sided anymore, it could be annoying. Same with printing. And I never have been a big fan of HPs software for scanning. (PaperPort 14 was better than the current PaperPower 14.5, by the way.) What I really like about it that I was shocked about is that it is truly designed for travel. I put it in a plastic bag expecting leakage while bouncing around in my suitcase, but it didnt leak and still prints from the same cartridges to this day. Read carefully, however: A computer DOES require a USB cable. You CANNOT print or scan via Bluetooth from a computer. So I toted it from Denver to Phoenix and back for nothing, but it still runs and my wife has used it for two estate plans since.

I’ve researched online for a space saving wireless printer and kept coming across this one. This wasn’t my first choice because of the hefty price tag but It is well worth it! I’m able to scan and copy important documents to my email though the HP photo smart without using a computer or WIFI! I travel for work and live in a travel trailer and space is crucial. I do not own a computer or even have internet-WIFI but I bought this printer thinking I could just connect it to my hotspot and print off there. Obviously that did not work but I was determined to figure out a way to print without it. Took me over an hour to figure out, I’m not tech savvy. Haven’t tried it on an android but It should be the same process. Make sure you have the HP SMART app downloaded or it will not work 1) turn printer on and go to wireless settings and turn wireless on. 2) go to settings on your phone and and turn WiFi on 3) your printer should be visible as a WiFi network to connect to. 4)Enter password. it took me a while to figure out. It should be 12345678. If you have trouble pull down grey tab on printer scroll down screen under icons and push info. It’s should show the serial number and IP address and WiFi direct password. Choose DIRECT HP OFFICE JET 250 and it will be visible. 4)once it’s connected open the app HP SMART click on your printer and select print. And WALA... there you have it. A printed document printed right off your phone without WIFI.
