This is my second try at an HP wireless printer. Nothing but problems. Keep getting "printer offline" messages, and various spooler errors and tells me it is out of paper when it isnt. Going online to HP support and every error has about 5 steps to try that dont work and the final one is to remove the printer, shut everything off, reinstall printer, reconnect to network and see if that helps. It usually does, until the next day, when it starts the errors again. last HP home printer for me. This one is going in the trash like the last one did. I dont need to spend an hour every time I need to print something.

The printer stopped working after three (3) months. After USB connection failed I switched it to a wired ethernet just to find out that it is not reliable as well. Specifically the printer would reboot all the time. Factory reset did not help. Called HP at 800-474-6836 just to find out HP support personnel is not trained to support ethernet connected printers. They also refused to issue RMA. Amazon apparently accepts returns for 1 month, and provides support for 2 months. Beware.

There is a major design issue with this printer and I cannot recommend it. After a few days the printer started printing am intermittent dark line down the right side of the page. I called HP support and after diagnosis they sent a new toner cartridge. The problem persisted. HP support then sent a refurbished printer. The problem persisted. Finally, HP support sent a new drum. The problem has returned yet again. All that can be replaced now is what I spent to buy this printer.

Buyer beware. Attempt at your own risk. You have a patient and tolerant personality? Sure you do. Until you’ve tried setting this blithering hunk of crap up. Read a few more reviews. I wish I had. I saved the window in my home office, but not by much. This boat anchor, sorry a$$, excuse for a printer was nearly heaved across the room. A perfectly good weekend day blown typing to worthless chat bots, reviewing the HP Forum for an hour, and on another hour-long actual chat session. (Good luck finding phone support!). Let’s just say that’s 3.5 hours of my life never to be retrieved, and I’d consider myself technically proficient. Unless you plan to only connect a computer directly via USB cable, move on. There is nothing to see here. You say you want a reliable, easy to setup, wi-fi enabled printer that won’t cost an arm and a leg for inkjet cartridges? Well, again, move right along. You’ll never get it on your network. There is no LCD screen to input your network password. So though there “are” ways, it’ll take days of research to uncover it. Horrible out of box documentation. Customer experience and Tech Support were both horrendous. Waste no further time. Don’t even think about purchasing this. You might be far better off just looking at another brand altogether. That is what I will do, because this junkshow is boxed up and heading to the UPS store for return tomorrow!

If you want a frustrating setup experience that ultimately fails, please buy this printer. After hours of trying I finally gave up. In reading the reviews, which I wish I had done first, people have had similar frustrating experiences. I have returned it.

This printer was trouble from day one. It consistently would error message in the print que so that I would have to delete the print job and reinstall the printer. It would NOT work at all as a wireless - it had to be connected with the USB cable, then even that stopped working. The "Attention" light has been blinking non-stop now and it refused to print. I had to manually remove the printer from my computer. Whether its an issue with the printer alone or because of Windows 10 I cant be sure. All I know is that its been a disaster!!!

Very dissapointed. After a few days use, a large dark line printed on right side of paper. I was not doing a lot of heavy printing. Contacted HP - after SEVERAL hours and days of trying to explain the issue - was told it was the imaging drum and they would send a new printer. When I received the "refurbished" printer - it was only the shell. The instructions advised to remove the toner cartridge and imaging drum from old unit and install in the new unit. Obviously this did not correct the problem with the imaging drum. Again after several hours on the phone with HP - I finally talked with someone who said - all you need is the imaging drum. After waiting several weeks for the new drum to arrive - the new drum was installed. Again after a few days use, a dark mark started to appear on the page - very sporatic - one day it would print fine and the next day have the marks. Unacceptable. Very frustrated as the previous HP laser jet printer I had lasted around 9 years - which is why I went with HP again.

Really a very bad piece of tech. It can’t sustain a connection to the WiFi. So every time you want to use it you have to switch it off and on again - and that doesn’t always work either. There are numerous long winded and complex ways to try and see solve the problem on the internet but none of them appear to work. The point is that in this day and age a printer should just work - the consumer shouldn’t have to do anything other than plug it in and run through a simple set up. HP you should be ashamed of yourselves for pedaling this rubbish.

WORST piece of garbage printer I have ever owned. We ordered it in June, but barely set it up a week ago. It fails to print constantly, saying "printer is offline", no matter what setting we have it on.

We have tried and tried with this printer. We never did get the wireless to work, which, you know, was the whole point of buying it. We finally hooked it up to a cable and it worked sometimes, but now it sits there, mocking us, daring us to try to print. Because it wont. After scouring the manual, trying to get support and reading endless help forums, we decided the lights are just there to be decorative and dont really mean anything. At the current moment, it is basically a lump with a cable attached to it. Next up? Landfill for you, HP Laser Jet Pro M203dw.
