Update Feb. 12: Feb. 10 we received the part as promised without an additional fee. We havent installed it yet due to the ice storms by us but yes did receive. So will update starts from 2 to 4. I purchased this bundle and have been able to print some basic cards. The print quality is a little dull, not very vibrant. I also contacted support about the bundle silver package I bought for further instructions on the encoding portion and more instructionsor videos as the instructionsare very very poor and limiting. I purchased this package since the description says you can encode the cards and upgraded the software to even have mire options. Upon contacting Jack at Bodno as Joe told me to for further help or video instructions Jack informed me in an email saying that I needed to purchase a $500.00 additional part for encoding. I told him nowhere in the literature does it say anything about needing additional equipment to encode your cards. It actually says the opposite that you can encode the cards. Which is what we based our decision off of for purchasing the equipment for our security ID cards. We have a useless piece of exquipment from this false advertising if that is the case. You cant advertise a claim then say pay an additional 500.00 for a piece of equipment to convert it to encode that you dont even mention. I have all the materials advertising this bundle and it says encodes and no mention of extra parts to do so. Last email was from Jack at Bodno which he asked for my order number which I provided and inquired 2xs about whom never returned my email after I gave him our order number. Update: On 1/25/19 Bodno shared they would me mailing me the necessary magnetic encoder need without cost. Awaiting arrival.

UPDATE: Raising from 1 start to 3. I contacted support (vipsupport-at-bodno.com) and received attentive care. I was having network issues, trying to print 2-sided on a one-sided machine. My bad. On the positive side, I put it thru oits paces and it still works. My plan for handing this task off to the less-techno savvy will not work though. This thing needs attention. But the following remains true: Terrible software interface, Fragile ribbons, Im getting really good at taping the film back together. Error signaling is weak. Some cards get stuck for no reason. Original review: Terrible software interface, resolution isnt great everything looks hazy. Color ribbon busted after 10 cards..... I didnt have time to set up and test in the return window so Im stuck with this. Any thoughts on how to salvage? Its very expensive. Complete disconnect between software and printer. Support materials lacking. This is a cry for help.

A Great value in a dye sublimation printer for 30 mil cards whether theyre just for Group ID: cards or full keycard access control systems. Coupled with a badge punch and choice of lanyards or clips . . . A winning system ! I had a slight problem with the factory supplied image cartridge and the distributor called just to check on our satisfaction with the system and when I explained the minor defect, they immediately sent out a new cartridge ! In todays world its all about good products coupled with great customer service and these guys are STELLAR !

Ok, so first the bad....this say mac os compatible but it is not with 10.13 and above. And the cable did not work that came with. (a new cable was mailed to me asap when i emailed the seller) thankyou!!! Now the good, i hooked this up to my pc (not apple) and everything is working great! I do look forward to when they come out with a software update for my apple for the printer! fingers crossed... However when they do, the card software is compatible. Anyway i digress, the printer works great and have had zero problems with printing our custom cards.

The security company we used quoted us $4000 for a HID card printer. After doing some research we found the Fargo DTC1250e printer was made by the same card manufacturer and at a much lower cost. At first we tried printing on our original HID Clamshell blank cards but discovered that this printer is not compatible. After a quick call to tech support they helped us identify a new thinner version of HID ISOPROX cards as the proper upgrade. Once we received the new cards printing on the DTC1250e was no problem and works great with the easy to use BODNO software. The package we purchased included blank cards which helped us practice our new ID designs on. Overall a great package and excellent value.

Purchased this for 2 summer camps that Im involved with and it works great fur what we need. Simple upload of our logos, name, and photo on one side. Print 200 badges so far with no problems.

We did aquire this printer to print all of our employees id cards, we have printed near 100 id cards flawlessly, the bodno software is so intuitive that you dont need any users guide to learn to use the software, the printer is fast and very reliable for our projects.

This card printer was easy to set up and has a small footprint. We use it to issue staff ID cards. It comes with a camera that you can take a picture with and add it to a card, its inline with what you would see at the DMV. The end product is colorful and professional.

We ordered this ID card maker to use for student IDs and achievements at our school. It works perfectly! It has software and card designer that is user friendly with many different designs available.
