I just received this printer, and I didnt see this information posted anywhere so I thought Id inform everyone and hopefully save someone else my frustration. I spent an unreasonable amount of time trying to set this up on my home WIFI network. Most of my equipment was made in the last couple years and is 802.11n or ac compliant on the 5GHz band so at first it didnt occur to me that this new model 802.11n capable printer would only work on the 2.4GHz WIFI band. After enabling that feature in my router, setup was easy. Other than that, so far, so good. Using the touchscreen is a little difficult for those like myself with big fingers, but I just access the firmware through a browser now anyway. On a related note, the available smartphone apps from Epson work great also. Since theyre free, I recommend getting them.

this printer is nothing but trouble, the ink only lasts for about 30-40 pages (documents, not photo), and it wont stay connected to the computer. every time it loses connection, I have to reinstall the driver to regain connection. I spoke with customer support and they want me to download all of the device software but when I did that it slowed my computer to a crawl. now im trying to figure out how to return it.

It’s probaly the loudest printer I’ve ever owned. The ink they “suggest” you buy with this printer is epson 200 ink and that ink WONT fit. The epson 202 or 202XL ink is the right cartridge for this printer. The ink cartridge that comes with it has enough ink in it to do maybe 30 pages. This printer is so new that Walmart dosent even have the cartridge on the shelfs yet and the they only have the colors the box dosent come with black.

I have a WF-2860. ITS CRAP!!! Im in the middle of printing labels and they all look fine then it says I need to replace ink. Im using regular copy paper and Im not doing anything fancy. I just replaced it 2 weeks ago. Even if I need to change the ink it shouldnt just shut down my whole printer. I cant even print customer invoices. Im furious.

This WF2860 was beautiful.... worked like a charm.... and then one day the ink smeered.... clean and clean and clean.... no good Bought an Epson WF 3640..... again, worked like a charm.... and then..... mother board failure.... totally sporatic failure to print - complete STOP.... (at the worst times). I will NEVER buy an Epson printer again..... I bought a HP 8715..... works like a charm ..... I have a 15 year old HP printer that survived 4 years of university..... and still works. Epson..... you just lost a bunch of customers

INK CARTRIDGES ARE TOO EXPENSIVE AND DON"T HAVE MUCH INK I thought this would be a great little printer to do my day to day printing. I use a professional photographers Canon for my photographs. I dont use that for my day to day. So I got this Epson. I also liked the scan feature. After using it for about a week the black ink ran out. I didnt even print that much. Then when I went on Amazon to order more ink, and typed in "Epson 202 cartridges", I made the mistake of ordering "Amazons choice." I didnt check to see that "Amazons Choice" was not the 202, but the220. Of course when I tried to put the 220 cartridge in it didnt work. So I went back on Amazon and made sure I was ordering the 202 cartridges. I noticed that there were reviews that werent good so I read a few. Most had the same issue I have - the ink runs out too quickly. My favorite was "the ink runs out faster than a bottle of liquor with an alcoholic." So heres the deal - the cost of the ink will be about $10 less than the cost of the printer the first time you replace the ink. Maybe its ok for some people, but I feel like I have been scammed. I am going to look for another printer that does not use so much ink OR that has ink refills that arent so low in ink.

This is PURE TRASH. Its been hooked up 3 days and I hate it already. Its super loud, as slow as a turtle, and it keeps saying my computer isnt connected. How can it scan and upload a document 1 second and then 2 min later the computer isnt connected? Then, while Im writing this review it starts to scan ALL BY ITSELF...I swear to God. Im going to return this one as soon as my new one arrives. Or ill let the kids make endless copies of nothing on it...its trash anyway.. Im super mad I had to give it a star.

Easy to assemble and start up. The fax works great. I dont know why it doesnt recognize my router for WI-FI though. Had to use a USB cable.

Printer features seem great for home use, even small business, but, so far I have been trying to resolve clogged or dried up ink jet ports. I have completely used up the ink that came with the printer "cleaning" the heads. I have used 3/4 of the standard size ink cartridges that I bought as a bundled package with the printer. I have not used the "High capacity" ink cartridges yet. I just purchased "Magic Bullet" which is used by printer techs. I will manually clean the ports. If this does not work, I will be requesting a replacement bundled package and will send back this printer with the remaining ink. I am no stranger to professionally installing, maintaining, and training the customer on Printers, including Badge printers for major Airports.

Works like a charm with High Sierra 10.3. So nice to have real two sided printing again. I think any complaints I read like the Wifi band can be eliminated just by reading the installation instructions. Took about 45 minutes to set up. Very Pleased.
