This printer performs as stated in the advertising. Connectivity via the various Epson applications is not difficult. Be advised that when one uses the WiFi direct mode to connect to the printer that the connection to the Internet will be lost (This has to be qualified... If the device with the browser is not on the same network as the printer). If one needs to print a web page then using cloud services is probably the best method. Also be advised that when using the cloud services one can use the Epson printer app with ease. The process requires one to print to the cloud service and then select the Epson printer app which will locate the service and then print to your printer using WiFi direct. This problem might better have been solved by the printer having Bluetooth RF for connectivity to the tablet or cell phone. The link would then be transparent (given the use of Near Field technology). The only other issue is that the Lithium Ion battery. This type of battery is typically only good for about 500 charge cycles. If this printer requires extensive use and recharging then it would require service by Epson to change the battery. Having a replaceable battery would have solved this problem. So if you are in the market for a portable printer with good (not excellent ) features this might be the one for you.

I love this printer. Now I can call myself a true "road warrior" - also paired it with the very slim and portable Epson DS-30 scanner. Printer is fairly lightweight and will fit in a medium to large laptop bag, with the scanner and an ultrabook. Probably would have a harder time fitting it into a small laptop bag, but you could still probably do it, but barely. I use this bad boy to print and sign sales contracts from the road so my sales team can close deals and I can be anywhere in the world and not hold up the countersignatures. MUCH MUCH more reliable and convenient than using hotel printers/workstations which dont seem to work half the time, and most of which dont have scanners. The print quality is OK, its nothing to write home about. This isnt really designed to be a photo printer. Some of the colors are pretty washed out, but who cares. Quality is fine. Also the wireless capability is AMAZING and the fact it can work off battery without being plugged in is a GREAT feature. There is one other smaller printer I was looking at, but it has a collapsible printer cartridge track which requires setup each time. This one is just slightly thicker and gets the job done. One last thing - TSA likes to bomb test these printers. Learned the hard way. Its considered a large electronic item so make sure to take it out of your bag and in its own tray. Be warned, if you pack it in a suitcase and send it through the X-ray machine, theyll stop you and test the bag.

We are RVERS who spend about half the year on the road. Bought this printer to take along. Use it rarely. Has worked fine except for one thing. Most every campground has some form of wifi, mostly pretty poor. The setup to use this printer wirelessly will drive you to drink if every wifi is different. Only way we can use it is with usb hokum and our Samsung tablet has no usb port. Finally bought a regular laptop to take and works fine .

The printer took a few minutes to set up but the instructions are fairly clear. It was a bit of a pain to enter the wifi password into the printer since you have to scroll (in one direction) through the entire alphabet, upper and lower case, as well as the numbers and special characters. Once it is done though it works perfectly. The printer is really fast too. It sounds a bit clunky, but that is due the the small size. Larger printers have a lot more mass to absorb the sound vibrations so they do not sound like this small printer. The ink cartridges are really small but are fairly cheap to replace so that really is not an issue. The print quality is just as good as our larger Canon and our big format Epson. The battery charges really quickly, but I have not tried to see how many pages I can print on just the battery. It would be nice to be able to have a spare battery but it will charge off of the USB cable so it really should not be an issue. All in all I am very pleased with this printer.

The refurbished Epson Workforce WF-100 has been working great. I am pleased with the quality of the output for printing business type of documents and even an occasional photo. I was able to purchase this as a refurbished model which reduced the price. To set expectations the WF-100 is slower when printing from battery power - and most likely still slower than a desktop printer when printing from the power adapter. I have not done any performance tests as its not a big issue for my usage. You can charge the battery with a USB port and leave the charger behind but it will take longer. The battery is self contained and not user replaceable. The printer contains a maintenance tank - which receives excess ink during printing and cleaning. This will add to the overall cost of ownership. It is a bit frustrating to think Im paying twice - once to buy the ink - and then again to put excess ink in a tank that gets tossed. The costs per page will be higher than desktop alternatives so this isnt recommended for higher volume output. I look forward to using it on road trips so that we can print from anywhere. When flying I will probably leave it behind to keep down the weight for my carry on.

Lots of compatibility issues. Nightly calls to tech support. Constant need to re-install software. I hope it is not too late to return it.

I bought this printer to keep on the boat and to print photos. Ive owned multiple (early) Epson Picturemates (the PM Pal would be one example) that are dedicated photo printers, and I have been very pleased with the quality of the 4x6 photos these produced. I thought this one would come close to that quality, plus be able to print normal 8 1/2 x 11 documents. Unfortunately, I have had a great deal of difficulty getting the color balance right and have rarely had a photo come out that I was satisfied with. The resolution seems lower than their earlier machines, too. B&W documents print fine, and my iPads, etc., connect and print easily. Given the price of nearly $200 and the cost of supplies, I cant recommend this, but I havent found a good alternative, either. John

I do much of my work lately, on an iPad. I want to print from it, but it has no provision for a wired connection to the printer. So I bought the Epson WF100 to fill that need by using it as a wireless unit for my iPad. Setting the Epson up was not overly difficult. There is no clear walk-through directions. It took me some time to figure out how to use the VERY small “screen” and data entry features. Initially the connection app was not able to download. I then noted in the iPad Settings, that the download would be installed “overnight.” This is what happened. The next morning the Epson was connected to the iPad. I don’t know why, but it starts printing multi-page documents last page first and going on with the first page being printed last.

Love this printer. I also have a travel printer from a different company. The other one stays home now, and this is my travel companion. Pros: This printer closes up fairly snug, without any edges to get caught on things in my bag. The screen is nice for programming the printer. I hook it to my hotspot and print wirelessly that way. Cons: I would like a snugger latch on the closure. And it would be great if they could get the same print quality with less weight. Also, a bluetooth option would be nice. Overall I like this printer and would buy it again or recommend it to a friend.

Great Printer ! This printer was the most easy mobile printer i ever had to set up. I have the HP mobile 150, and Cannon Mobile printer, but the Epson is the lightest, smallest, and easy to use printer i have ever owned. Uses WIFI network printing for internet printing and Direct Print if you do not have a network to connect to. Internal battery, and can charge with power cord or USB from my Surface Book. Works with Google Print also. This is not a photo quality printer and the color photo quality is pretty good for a mobile printer, but i did notice printer lines on the photo when on battery power. It does print slower on battery power vs power cord which is to be expected. Love the size and weight of only 3.5 pounds. It gets the printing job done for me. . for whats its worth, I would purchase another one. You wont be disappointed with this mobile printer.
