I recently purchased this printer to replace the one I bought several years ago. It is the updated version of the Canon PIXMA TS6120. Its not too big and its wireless which is perfect. I can print from my iPhone, my iPad, and my printer. The print is clear and the colors are vivid. It comes with print cartridges to get you started. You just add paper and youre in business!

I found out the hard way with my last inkjet printer that it is the combo of the printer and the type of ink cartridge it uses that leads to the $ you spend on ink. I gave away a perfectly good printer because I could buy this model at the time for the price of 1/10 what I had spent in a year on ink cartridges for the old one! Also, at the time, in that section underneath the product pic, they advertised E-Z ink - I read up on it & it has rave reviews so I ordered the 5-pack to be ready when the "starter" cartridges ran out. 3 months later and none of them have run out. Now mind you I dont change ink cartridges when the warning comes up - only when the print is compromised and its not yet! I like the fact that there are 2 black cartridges, one being a pigment ink that is less likely to run than the color cartridges. This is my first Canon, so I had a little bit of a learning curve, but not much. And, although Im not a heavy printer, I do use my fair share of paper. I print (sorry, trees!) to keep records of things, do print screens of every order to keep for my credit card stmt, etc., and I also do artwork (like greeting cards). What can I say - Im just a happy camper who feels like the woman in the Old Testament whose oil kept coming (the ink, ha!). I never load from the back because I have it tucked in a cubbyhole in my computer desk, so that may be part of it, but Ive never had a jam and had no problem setting it up - used the USB and power cable which were right there from the old one! (Also, I dont use wi-fi, so no input there.) Update: 4-6-19 It just gets better and better. My "starter" cartridges just had to be replaced (4 of the 5) which is only $35 with the E-Z Ink that I bought at the same time as the printer. Thats 5 months of use out of the "starter" cartridges. Well, the E-Z ones I bought are XXL and supposed to give 3 X print of regular ones, so I dont expect to worry about it for a while. The expiration date on the package I purchased already is 2 years, so even if they last a really, really long time, I purchased another set to have one hand.

By the second use, just after turning on it started to say paper is jammed. We followed the manual, spent 2 hours to see the jam but there wasnt any jam. Disconnected, reconnected, still nothing. Returning now. This unpredictable thing wont work for me as it was needed for a small office.

I long for the days of the HP LaserJet III. Remove from box, Plug in - and print! I purchased this Canon printer because my old PIXMA MG6220 printer died with a "Print Head Not Correct - U150" message - which kind of set me off by itself. That particular model is now discontinued, and I went on an odyssey to see if I could at least find a printer that would use the same print cartridges. No-can-do. To those of you searching for a decent home all-in-one printer - you have my sympathy. Hundreds of models to choose from - each with seemingly different print cartridges, features and price points. I tried to navigate this minefield the best I could, and decided on this TS6220. Probably could have done better - certainly could have done worse. Taking the printer out of the box was kind of an experience all of its own. This printer is Cheap - with a capital C. I hope it ends up lasting more than a year. I guess for $89 (or, whatever the going rate is these days) what can I expect? But, everything unpacked and there is a nice little "Getting Started" booklet. Now, let me describe how I THOUGHT the install process would go: 1) Unpack the printer 2) Turn it on and be guided through a print alignment / test sequence 3) Be guided through a sequence to connect to my home network 4) Go to the Control Panel in Windows 10, find the printer, and install it. Steps 1 & 2 kind of went as expected - although there is a lot of stuff the "Getting Started" manual just assumes you know - like there really isnt an "OK" button. If you need to press OK, it comes up on the touch screen when needed. Step 3 is super confusing, so let me see if I can help some poor soul out there who gets totally lost - like I did. The manual instructs you to go to a web-site to set up the printer. Once you are at the site, you key in the Model number, and then it searches the network to find it. But wait....how can it expect to find it if the printer hasnt been added to the network? Hmm.....well - it cant. After it cant find it, it instructs you to go to the Printer control panel and configure the Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, there are NO INSTRUCTIONS on how to do this (that I could find). I guess there is some magical way the printer could have connected to my computer without Wi-Fi, but Im probably just too stupid to figure it out. So, I pressed the Setup icon on the control panel, and sure enough - there is a Wi-Fi button. I pressed it, and several options came up. The first was "Easy Connect", and the second one was "Manual Connect". Silly me - I thought the correct choice is "Easy Connect". Somehow "Easy Connect" depends on the same magical connection that my computer was trying to originally find, and basically told me I was SOL. Still dont know what "Easy Connect" really means. So, I went back and tried "Manual Connect". Eureka! Thats the place that will find your wireless network, and allow you to enter your security key. Which I did. The printer then told me I had successfully connected to the network. At last. I went back to my computer and started the install sequence over again. This time it found the printer, and finished the install. There are times that the install appears to "hang" - specifically on the message "Downloading 11/13". I was about ready to call Canon support, but after about 4 minutes the install continued on. A proper and correct Progress Bar would have been greatly appreciated. I cant say for sure, but it appears as if EVERY COMPUTER you want to connect to the printer must go through this same Byzantine web install process. Whatever happened to the good old days of "Plug-N-Play?" The printer does appear to work, and the quality of the printing is excellent. Be prepared to find a solid place to sit the printer because it really "bumps and grinds" as it attempts to get a page through. Again, Ill be pleasantly surprised if it makes it past one year. And, Im resigned to the fact that when it does break, Ill have to discard all of my unused ink cartridges and buy new ones. Am I the only one out there who is just thoroughly disgusted at the whole ink cartridge scene?

Does any company make a decent printer? Ive not found one. This printer constantly says "No paper" which is not the case. Shuts off almost immediately so each time its used, you must go to the printer and turn it on. Saves power, but a complete pain. Seems as if i spend half of my day getting the printer started and its problems sorted out. Totally frustrating. Do not buy.

UPDATE: Well its been 4 months & Ive had enough of this printer I actually avoid printing anything because its such a horrendous project to print something; additionally its cheaper to buy a new printer than to replace the ink in this one.. This is absolutely the worst Canon printer I have ever owned and thats saying something.. I did not want to buy another Canon printer because they dont have a long shelf life but I bought this one for only one reason "it prints labels" , however, I would have been better off just hand writing the labels because this printer is terrible.. The designer of this printer must have gotten paid by number of steps required to perform any function.. Terrible printer and Im stuck with it now..

I have bought Cannon printers for my home for a long time. Mainly for the individual ink tanks. This printer is different in its configuration from any before. I do not understand why it is necessary to lift this front panel which has the screen because I have the printer on a shelf and it is impossible to read the screen when it is raised. The print is fine. Clear. I have not scanned yet so cannot say but feel it will be good. Hope I can get use to the raised front panel.

Just recieved my new Canon WIFI TS6220 printer. I relpaced my Epson wifi printer with this one. The pinter was easy to instal. I used the enclosed CD. I set it up 2 computers and my phone. It prints a little better than my 10 year old Canon that is still giving me good results as you can see from the paper printed photos. The new TS6220 color is better. I prefer the printers with single ink cartridges....youre able to use all the ink. I also like the fact that i can print from my phone. I own many canon products. I think they are quality products. I hope I get as many years on this new printer as my older one...I had to switch to other than canon inks with my older MG5120 because they they are hard to find in the stores and have become to expensive. I didnt rate tech support because I havent used it.Happy camper for now! Updated review by adding some pics printed on glossy photo print paper

This Canon is a superb printer. It takes less space, it doesn have a useless fax feeder (I mean, how many people really need a fax?), two slots for photo and regular paper, easy to set up scheme for wireless, a good read out screen, two tanks for flack (one extra large)--and is remarkable quiet. What more can you ask for? After going through Epsons that break down in a year, I finally decided to give up the Epson, and in addition with the Canon, got an extended warranty. Hey, when a printer lifespan is only a couple of years, it makes sense to get a low cost warranty. Hopefully though, I wont need this one in an alloted time. And definitely a pleasant deal.

All Pros and No cons after a two day check-out. I recommend it for good home use or small business. More comments later. Update: This is my 2nd Canon, i.e. after a PIXMA MX882 that I had to retire (but not destroy!)with many extra 5 packs of non-OME ink. This TS6220 was ordered after trying everything on many Youtube videos to clear the B200 error, without Canon technical support or chat room available, for my 7 year, otherwise robust printer. With this TS6220 printer I appreciated the fact that now large page number outputs print out "last page first" . Maybe I missed being able to do that as the default with my 3 other (2 HPs and the MX882 canon) printers. I did order the GreenSky 5 pack XL replacement ink for only $25 based on its good review with the TS6220. Not knowing what the, probably short, Canon warranty was I also opted for a 4 year Protection Plan for less than $10. BTW, the Canon app for my iPhone and iPad worked very well for this 76+ year old senior male using Windows 10. Although its twice the size and its components are less robust ( somewhat flimsy) it is now is perched on top of my retired MX 882, the latter conveniently loaded with extra paper. I guess time will tell if this printer will exceed the life of my previous printers, albeit that I use them only for home use.
