I figured this inexpensive printer would be just good enough for a student, but it turned out to be better than my old Epson for general household use. Crisp paper printouts (example below) and decent snapshots on photo paper when needed. Duplex, cop, scan, print, wireless or wired: everything I need in a compact printer, and at less than forty bucks a bargain (yeah, yeah, they always gouge you on the cost of replacement ink but I dont print that much so its OK). Setup was easy for me, but I can see where some low-tech folk might get frustrated because the instructions arent particularly user-friendly. All I did was plug it in, install the app on my iPad, click the "register printer" option from the app, follow those instructions. Our permanent setup is wireless with a variety of devices---Apple iPhones and iPads, Mac desktop, Windows laptops, Chromebook---and everyone can print with no problem. A cable for direct connection isnt included, so buy that if you foresee situations where wireless isnt an option. I have had past issues with connecting other brands of wireless printers, so I understand that some people might have problems with this one; I guess this time I got lucky with installation. There are some minor annoyances. The paper tray isnt completely enclosed, it hangs out the front; dust-o-phobes I guess could load paper only when they are ready to print. There is no display screen for error messages, and no paper manual is included (you have to go online or through an app). The power cord goes into a recessed area in the back and if it jiggles loose you cant really reach around blindly to get it back in. The printer makes a lot of weird noises, both before and after printing. I havent had any of the issues I read about in other reviews. No paper jams (although often I am printing single sheets or just a few). The printer appropriately "wakes up" when a job is sent. Black and color ink cartridge usage is better than my Epson (it had separate cartridges for every color). Doesnt drop off my wireless home network constantly as other printers have. No major complaints (yet)! UPDATE: I have knocked off another star simply because it is very aggravating to troubleshoot problems (low ink, no ink, wrong paper size, paper jam, wifi issues, etc.) when they do occur. Since theres no display screen on the printer itself, you have to rely on the app and the online manual to decipher the flashes/error---and the info there is very generic. Canon should have at least included a tiny display screen for numeric codes to show so you could easily look them up, or have the app check status and then specifically say what the problem is. For this reason, this "easy to use" printer isnt a good choice for people who want simple printing functionality. Too bad, the printer has been great otherwise---nice crisp text and pictures, good color, decent ink usage. I originally planned to send this printer to college with my kid, but now Im keeping this one at home and researching other options (so I dont have to get late-night tech support calls!).

JUNK! Should have listened to the reviews! Bluetooth would not connect during initial setup, which I expected based on the reviews and was prepared for. After initial setup using a USB cable, I used it twice before it would no longer connect. Just tried to use again today and surprisingly it connected but would not print because it kept saying it was out of paper. When I finally got the paper feed to pull in paper, it pulled in the ENTIRE STACK. Now it is completely jammed. JUNK! JUNK! JUNK!

Great printer for the price. Been seeing some negative reviews and Im here to say mine came in great working order. Simple set up if your even a computer novice. Love that i can, control from my phone. Its a bit loud printing, bit its under 50 dollars, you cant expect all that. Its perfect for a student who needs to print/scan/copy quickly and efficiently,

This All-in-one Canon Pixma MG3620 printer cannot perform the essential task for which it was named. I purchased my new printer last month and missed the return window by 10 days. Out of the box, the contraption struggled with maintaining a wireless connection. It worked decently for the first 3 weeks but devoured ink like a bear preparing for winter. The device then was plagued with paper jams and blurred the few pages that actually survived. I had one paper jam that caused all subsequent print jobs to have duplicate lettering and jagged edges. After what seemed like an eternity searching, I followed all the troubleshooting suggestions from the so called help manual. I had to rely on counting a flashing light to tell me whether I had executed the head cleaning or print alignment utilities. Printing a shipping label should never be this migraine inducing. It was a sheer nightmare and an utter waste of money and my time. After 40 days with my new printer, I can state will all sincerity that this device is perfect for those who dont want a long-term commitment.

This is a great All-In-One printer. I like that I can use black ink all by itself. I see no reason to waste colored ink when Im only printing documents in black. I have another Canon printer but it wasted colored ink because I couldnt print with black alone. This is a waste of money. If you want to print only in black & save colored ink for special needs, then this is the printer to buy. It was very easy to set up too.

We moved across country and are living in a bedroom with our daughter. All of our stuff is in storage while we look for a house, daughter has no printer. Right after we got here we needed a printer and scanner. We own the Canon Office and Business MX922 All-In-One Printer but it’s in storage. I bought this one because I didn’t need a heavy duty printer. This started off a fine purchase, noisy but no problem. Then it stopped feeding paper alone, it became a group effort. I hit the print button, walk over to the printer and put a wee bit of pressure pushing the paper in until it fed. No Problem. Yesterday it decided to feed about 20 sheets at once. Oh ya there was a BIG jam. That took awhile to clear. No problem. Today I go to print, group effort of course, and the print was blurry, double lines, a mess. So I open the Canon maintenance area and I select “Print Head Alignment” and away it goes… then stops… then goes…then stops… then SHUTS OFF. WTF I took a break, unplugged and restarted everything. I did the print head alignment, put it in the scanner like it said, got some message it can’t continue, clean the heads and try again. The head cleaning procedure printed the same print head alignment page. Lots of noise, stops and starts. I’m very gadget savy, I started computers back in the days of DOS 5. Yesterday the printer absorbed at least 2 hrs of my time, today another 2. If you like wasting LOTS OF YOUR TIME ON THE PRINTER this one’s for you! If I could go back I wouldn’t buy this.

This small printer puts out amazing, sharp color images and crisp black text. It is a bit noisy, but for the quality of the product I put up with it. I had no problems setting up wireless and cloud printing (Android OS on two phones, wireless from my Dell Laptop with Windows 10 and wireless from a desktop running Windows 7). Sometimes, however, over wireless, I had to walk upstairs to it and wake it up when printing from the laptop or phone. Scanning was sharp and colors stayed true. I printed both glossy photos and matte, and all turned out fantastically. Photos do eat a lot of ink when printing high quality images but for the sharpness and color its worth it. I would buy this printer again if I didnt have a small business to run out of my home. I killed this printer, so to speak, by overworking it. In a year I ran close to 10,000 copies, color and b&w, and nearly 500 4x6 or 5x7 glossy and matte photos out of it. SO, if youre a casual printer, this one really is a great way to go. If you plan on printing a lot of stuff, I wouldnt recommend it.

I bought this in June 2017 and have already replaced the black ink cartridge twice and the color once. Not because Ive printed a lot (I havent) but the alignment of the ink cartridges keeps getting off and I have to manually re-align it, which uses a LOT of ink! And it jams all the time. Today, I pulled slightly on the paper so it would go in the printer straight and it caused the printer to turn off and now I get an error message saying the printer needs repair. This printer has been a nightmare. Im not spending any more money on ink for it. I could have gotten a new printer for the amount Ive spent on ink trying to fix this one!

The print quality is very good. I never owned an all-in-one, as I preferred smaller printers. My trusty 12 year old Canon printers printhead failed when I needed to print my taxes. PANIC! I purchased this for its apparent value. I dont find it to be too noisy, maybe a even bit quieter than my old printer. The old printer used cheaper ink tanks that I refilled. The printhead and ink cartridge are integrated and this adds to the operating cost unless you refill them. It has more features than I currently need but it can copy and scan, so I can get rid of my scanner that wont work with newer computers. It can also work well with older versions of Windows. Unlike my old Canon, this printer must have the color cartridge installed. I cant comment on its wireless operation as I use a USB cable. In the future I plan on setting up cloud printing for my chromebook. It is nice to have those possibilities. On one PC I downloaded the printer software off of the Canon website. On another, I used the included CD. It did not seem to matter either way, at least for the USB connection.

I needed to upgrade my old printer and wanted to get something without all the cords. Found this very reasonably priced wireless printer and I really like it. Very easy to set up and worked the first time with hardly any effort on my part. Ive always been a fan of Canon products and this one did not let me down. Highly recommend it.
