We got this machine to replace a very expensive fax machine from an office-supply company that had many problems with paper jams and was very fussy to use. This machine is not super-fast but is more than adequate for our small office. It hasnt had any trouble with paper jams so far and has been very reliable. For the price, it was definitely worth it.

5 stars because it does everything a small office needs. I ordered it for work because the price was amazing. Received it very quickly. It took me less than an hour to configure to what was needed in the office. I highly recommend.

We purchased this fax to replace an older Canon fax that was 15 years old. This fax is quick and easy to use. I had it setup in minutes. The price was also great and this makes a great business fax for businesses still needing a fax machine for communicating with those companies that havent quite moved into the 21st century yet.

We purchased this for an office and send only a few faxes each day. I believe it is more meant for a busier office but we love this machine. The preset buttons were extremely easy to program. We are very happy with this machine. (we dont use as a printer at all)

Machine works like a charm. It is less advanced than some other models but it gets the job done. I only dinged it one star for not having an ethernet connection so we could desktop fax over the network*. *I knew that when I bought it; Im just saying who builds a fax machine for office use and doesnt put an Ethernet port on it anymore? If you dont need Ethernet, this is your machine. The LinkYo (sp?) comparable toner cartridges are dirt cheap and work like a dream in this thing as well.

I send and receive numerous FAXs during the course of the day at work. Ive been using a Cannon FAXPhone L170 since 2007. Its been a true "work horse", but alas the L170 needed to be replaced. I purchased this FAXPhone L190 and was duly impressed with its presentation, easy setup and very clear documentation. The basic users guide is well written in plain English with excellent illustrations. The tray holds up to 250 sheets of paper. The control panel is well laid out and easy to read. I was also impressed how fast the paper is delivered to the outside tray after the FAXING portion has completed. It also sends and receives at the same time as advertised. I gotta say, excellent value for the money and thank you Amazon for the fast shipment.

Overall we are impressed with this unit. No 5th star because the toner that came with the unit did not perform as well as expected. Anymore I think I should lower my expectations when it comes to consumption type products like this. We started using this in August 2014, printed an average of 45 pieces per month since, and it now says the toner is very low in early Jan. 2015. The unit is solid, prints on both sides of the page, and suits our need for now.

Hi, we have bought several of the Canon FaxPhone L190 fax machines lately. It is now our go-to fax for working with VOIP systems. The Error Correction (ECC) Mode is easy to disable, and it works well. We did have a problem lots of people had, when it gets itself in "memory full" error condition. We found this solution to resolve: 1) Power off (front of system) 2) Hold down Rest button (//), keep holding down 3) Power back on, keep holding reset until back on.

This device cannot scan documents digitally. You can only FAX or make hard copies. Online reviews and the information here are misleading or in some cases outright false in regards to the scanner.

You get what you pay for. This si not a very high quality machine. It is mostly plastic. Just recently the 2 hinges snapped that hold the main lid for opening above the paper tray.. this not the part that hinges for the glass bed that gets more use. OI hardly ever open the bottom part of the lid, except to change toner ever couple of minths. One day I heard a loud "snap and looked over to see the lid slightly off balance. The hinge had broken on its own. In another week to other one went. The onyly thing that is holding it in place is the wiring harness. Getting it fixed would cost more than the machine. cost I am sure. it has some annoying features from the beginning. If you stop a fax mid way it insists on printing out a failed fax message. Every page does a double routine whether or not it is 2 sided. I stopped buying OEM cartridges. Amazon sells compatible ones at 1/3 the cost and they are juist as good. If the yield is a little lower it is still a bargain. I will keep using it until it finally gives out. Those hinges are not all that important. I think they should not have broken on their own
