Canon imageCLASS D570 Monochrome Laser Printer with Scanner and Copier

I have to share a story of unlikely love. I just bought a printer. And I love it. Its the first printer ive bought in ... eh.... 15 years? I always figured "to heck with that, its 20xx, I dont need a printer". The other day needed to print a return label and instead ended up having to use the craptastic computer at the UPS store for $3 to print it out. I realized Id never have time to buy a decent printer when I needed one and Id need to get one now when I dont need one so that Id have it when I did need it. My old printer was a nightmare of macos-unsupported drivers supposedly hosted by a company that has no interest in supporting old models (*ahem* HP) hell. You know the scene from office space where they take the printer out into the field and beat the ever loving snot out of it with baseball bats? Thats how Ive felt about my old printer for years. I put up with it because I didnt know better. The last time I needed it, however, I couldnt find the drivers in the dystopian mc.escher-inspired pukefest that is HPs website. So, I looked up printers that are supported by Apple out of the box and decided to give this one a shot. I unboxed it, followed the infographic that was attached to the excellently packaged printer, followed the on-screen setup to join it to my wifi ... and then printed. From my iphone. And from my macbook. I didnt have to install any drivers or plug in any cables. It just. Frikkin. Worked. No passwords other than joining the wifi. Easy. I told my wife that I just setup the printer and printed from my phone with zero frustration, and that I wasnt even going to tell her how to do it, because its so easy to just do. And she did it. A++, highly recommended

This printer is fantastic. Very easy to setup, WiFi connection was so simple. Pressed the on button and synced immediately, just needed to input WiFi password. Prints fast, and quality is excellent.

Bought this printer last fall (2017) to use in my classroom so I wasnt having to run to the copy room anytime I needed extra copies. It has worked great! The only problem was from the schools side because their PC was older and didnt support the printer. But had no problems with my lap top or the schools laptop with newer operating systems. Quick printing and great quality copies, and double sided copies without the headache of printing on one side, then reloading to print on the other. It also scans. This printer was a life saver on many days.

Beautiful Canon printer. After going through couple of different brand printer during last 5 years...This is an upgrade. Printer setup was super easy - connected to WIFI using the electronic panel just by entering WIFI password. Tested using WIndows 8 PC and Macbook air. No setup was needed on both of them. Both systems showed the printer as "READY" just as I was preparing to print. Great experience so far. Note - this is an "office" size printer..meaning a little large size. It has cool print speed of over 20-30 pages per min. Very quiet and goes back to sleep when job is done. Wakes up automatically when new print is on the way. Very fast. AirPrint also works fine. Just print it from iPhone, it automatically detects the printer.

This printer has performed as advertised. It is fast, quiet, and efficient--quick start up. Beside standard printing, it does duplex printing very well. I use this duplexing constantly to save paper and reduces thickness in the file cabinet. The scanning is not automatic, only one page at a time. But this was not an important feature for my use. Takes various size paper. I connect via USB. I have not tried the wireless yet. Paper does not jam. o doubt the best printer I have ever owned.

I had used HP ink printers for years but decided to switch to Canon. I don’t have much need for color so the b/w toner was an easy choice and has proven to be very economical. We have Canon’s 550D and 6670 models which we use to print over 4,000 sheets per month. They have worked flaulessly for over two years. This unit I plan to use in another office and believe will give us the same great reliablity. Print double-sided comes as default on these Vanon models, which some have commented that they don’t like, but I have found it to be more useful than a hassle. It’s easier to “tick off” the double sided feature than remembering to turn it on when printing.

I am so pleased with this printer...came set up to do 2 sided printing without jumping through hoops. The biggest pain in setting it up is connecting to the wireless network. The instructions are very poor...I managed to figure it out but they dont make it easy. Other than that I am very satisfied with this printer.
