I use this (or at least try to) on a Mac. Its hit and miss at best and doesnt work as a general printer despite the software claiming otherwise. On the rare occasion that I get a successfully printed label the results are fine. It may be better on a PC but I dont have one on which to test it. Deeply disappointed. I expected better of Brother.

Had a Brothers 710W that finally wore out. Decided to purchase this one based on positive reviews and the excellent price. One small problem - it ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT WORK with a Mac. Spent the better part of 2 hours searching the web, installing / uninstalling drivers / software, changing computers, changing cables, - you name it - I have tried it. The QL-800 simply does not communicate to Mac under either Max OS 10.13 or the newest 10.14. Brothers has horrible technical support. The help section is not well organized and focuses mainly on Windows 10 problems. (based on the number of articles - there are a TON of problems using this printer with Windows 10 too). I emailed a detailed summary of all that I did - and get a reply that I should hear back in 2-3 business days! Great customer support Brothers. Absolutely stay away from this product. Mines headed back.

Needed a printer to print out USPS labels for Ebay sales. This does just that. It does it fast, it does it well. I didnt even install the printing software, just download the driver only from Brother and it was up and running. You can easily find the correct label sizes in MS Word and Ebay has an option to print out USPS labels in the larger size label that comes with the printer. At this price it will totally pay for itself in time saved in a about a month. I hate a lot of electronics so when I find something that works im impressed. This is one of them. And the reason I chose Brother is because I have a cheap Brother Wifi Laser Printer that has been working for years with after-market toner and it never has a problem.

It’s not very user friendly. I had to download 3 apps and it doesn’t want to print. It said it could print from your phone but it impossible. Don’t recommend if your not tech savvy.

So I received this thing a few days ago and its been nothing but frustration since I unboxed the unit. 6 calls to brother, 2 calls to Microsoft and still no resolution. The minute I try to print something in P-Touch Editor the application freezes and I get the (Not Responding) error. I have yet to print a single label I have wasted so much time trying to get this thing to work, time that I should be using to run my business. This thing and the quality of brother products and services is total crap. BUYER BEWARE.

I own two of these. Ive had it for four months now. Works flawlessly, the first one was a little tricky to set up, (Im no expert with computers) but took me no more than one hour. Te second one I set up in 5 minutes. They are great, great quality print. Gives you a professional touch to your business.

This little printer is great for making shipping labels and custom stickers. It prints very fast. You can print 5, 4” labels in about 7 seconds. Its very easy to set up and is basically “plug and play” aside from downloading software. The printer doesnt take up much space but is very robust and well built for its size. It doesnt feel cheaply made. The software is easy to use and the possibilities are limitless when it comes to custom labels.

This machine is extraordinarily reliable and has saved me countless hours. It is so much easier and cheaper to use than Avery labels To me, the label looks so much better than run in the envelope through the printer, and it’s so much faster
