I am so very disappointed in this printer, especially because it is new and it was costly. I assumed that the price and the Brother brand would guarantee a great printer. I had a trusted Dell that produced crisp black and white copies, but it died after 7 years. With this printer, I cannot get rid of the lines running down the copies and the ink smudges. I have gone online to problem solve and have followed through on all suggestions. One that worked momentarily was to run blank copies (10 of them) until they ran clear. When they did, I started printing my work and the lines reappeared. I wish I could send this back as I have been taking my copies on a USB to a copy center. Disappointing!

Cannot collate. Repeat: When you are making multiple copies of a document with more than one page, this printer cannot collate the pages. You’ll spend extra time having to put the pages together yourself.

Very happy with this purchase. The machine was easy to set up and get working. It prints, copies and scans lightning fast and has lots of good features. I did have to call customer service with a small issue and they were terrible - took me 45 minutes to get the right person on the phone - each person I spoke with gave me incorrect information - thankfully it was resolved but only because I was tenacious

Point: if you are hooking this up you cannot use a power strip. It has to be plugged directly into the wall.

We have purchased brother machines for the past 18 years. I still have a functioning MFC from 2005 that was used in a busy office enviornment. This model worked well at first but it lost its ability access its hardwired Ethernet, then wifi scanning quit. Brother cant figure out why.

The unit arrived as promised, was well packed, and was easy to set up. Performance has been flawless and the speed is excellent. I went for this printer because of the reasonable running cost of black and white printers and the large toner capacity of this unit. We run color printers and the cost of consumables is breathtaking compared to the running cost of this printer. Love color, hate the price of consumables.

This is a convenient and dependable printer. The only issue Ive found is that if you dont get your page straight against the guide on the top feed, it can twist. Otherwise, it does quick copies and good double-sided copies, too.

I have had nothing but problems. WIFI connection is very poor. I have it FIOS here so its not the internet. ALSO THE FEEDER is very sensitive. IT constantly requires multiple shut downs to reset itself. BEWARE. I run a tax business so im not scanning anything other than w2s and it cant even handle that.!! TERRIBLE JUNK

Excellent printer for a small office. Scans and prints very quickly. I had the model before this one for years. When it comes time to replace my printer again I will get this model or the next one up.
