Its Trash! This machine worked rather well for 6 months. I was happy with the performance even over my multi-function HP. The issue came up with print head problems on the black. The machine refused to clean it providing lines, missing data, streaks and what have you when printing. Going thru the diagnostics myself and then with Brother tech support, wasted a lot of time to end up with a nonworking machine. When calling a second time for warranty support, now on my 7th month of a 2-year warranty, and out of ink thanks to the machines attempt to clear the fault, Brother refused to take it in. Brother required me now to purchase a full set of cartridges to go thru the same troubleshooting issue I had with the first agent. I refused to spend over a $100 for a complete set of 4 color cartridges just so Brother will be convinced a second time that there is a problem and needs to be fixed under warranty. By that time, the cartridges, at best, will have expended half their supply, and worst, I still have a non-working machine and lost downtime in my business processing. I rather take the money and buy a better machine from another manufacturer, like Epson or HP.

Excellent product! Built for volume use at a very reasonable price. Easy set up. Color prints excellent. Holds 250 sheets of paper. Easy to use display....Fax...Copy...Scan ...Auto feed for printing/scanning volume is a real plus....Since this MFC is a personal printer in my office did not need to hook up the fax or WiFi....my home printer is a brother....and use the WiFi printing option on both my laptops. You will love this product. Personally will only buy Brother products for printing as they are well engineered and high quality for a very reasonable price. Also you can buy after market ink at a fraction of the cost of OEM refills. Again.....you will love this printer....

I bought this to replace my HP Photosmart 7520 printer that died. All of the HP replacements have gone to three colors in one cartridge. Having had one of those, I decided to look for a different brand. This model had everything that I was looking for. Setup was effortless. You have to accept the license and then tell it what kind of connection that you are using. If you are using a network connection, it searches and finds the printer. You select it and then it installs all of the software. Ive had it for a month, with no problems and it still has 3/4 of the starter ink left. I have 3 computers printing to the printer. The print looks better than the HP and it prints much faster, especially double-sided printing. The only negative is that it is much larger. Of course the paper tray holds 5 times as much paper.

Another great printer from Brother. My only complaint is that we occasionally have to reconnect the printer to our wifi network so that we can print wirelessly. Five star printer if not for that issue.

Ive had my new MFCJ5330DW printer for about 2 weeks now, and so far Im loving it! I replaced an HP Deskjet 6700 which had all the same functions, but was a terrible printer. The brother is probably 10-20% larger than the all-in-one its replacing, but not overly large. This printer is very solid and high quality. From the minute you take it out of the box, you find that there arent little pieces of tape holding it all together and secure. The printer is packed extremely smartly, and you can get up and running very quickly. This printer is also extrememly quiet. Im used to the old 6700 whirring and spinning for 5+ minutes before ever spitting out a page. The MFCJ5330DW goes from powered off, to ready-to-print in about 10 seconds with hardly any noise, except for the very pleasant startup chimes. The menu system seems clean and organized and the buttons feel solid. I really like the way the printer prints landscape instead of portrait. I have not seen that before in a printer. That means the pages print faster because it only has to feed a typical 8" width, instead of an 11" length. Very cool. That also means you can print up to A3 (11x17) sized pages with it. Double-siding printing is fast and effortless, I think because the duplexer might be built into the back. The table-stakes of printing are in the ink. Having 4 separate color cartridges makes it more cost effective because you only replace the color you run out of. My printer gets light-to-medium duty (3 students) so Im not sure yet how long the colors will last. Im still on the initial inks. I have had a Brother LaserJet HL-5370DW for more than a decade, and its still doing well. Im glad I decided to go with this color all-in-one to replace the old 6700 when it self-destructed. I would highly recommend this printer!

This is a terrific printer, replacing an older Brother Laser MFC with very expensive consumables. It is doing a great job supporting networked PCs, iPhone/iPad and Chromebook printing. A little tricky to set-up, though. Ultimately, got everything to work by installing full Brother software suite BUT letting Windows 10 manage the printer. That was the trick to getting all functionality of printing, scanning and faxing up and running. The Brother iOS utility is also quite handy to monitor the ink status by color, and for quick scanning to a PDF or jpg. Very satisfied.

I always looked on people who give one star as cranks, but I dont see how else I can rate this machine. I have a Brother laser printer that works fine. I am sure this one will if I ever get it set up and fixed. But it came with clogged black nozzles. Unfortunately, because of travel I wasnt able to open the box until after the 30-day return period for Amazon. Thats my responsibility, but it doesnt let Brother off the hook. No black. The cleaning programs produced no improvement but did use up all the black ink. The Guide suggested trying a replacement cartridge. I went out and bought one. This improved the black performance but still left lots of gaps on the test sheet. I called Brother. Nice person in Jamaica. She initiated a deeper cleaning, which however used so much ink that I ran out of ink on all cartridges and the cleaning stopped. My local Staples doesnt carry the ink for this printer. I now have to take another trip and will not be able to continue for a couple of weeks. I have spent--in hourly rate--several times what the machine cost. When I return I will have to decide whether to invest in more ink or just toss the whole thing out. If I fix it and it works I will provide an update rating

I am so excited about this machine. I was told that i would need to spend hundreds of dollars to get all of the features i wanted in a printer and then i found this one. Now i can print more than one page at a time on my larger documents right from the tray instead of having to feed the paper in one sheet at a time. This is a great time saver for us in the office!! I couldnt wait to tell my IT department that I had succeeded with Amazon where they had failed me. Thanks Brother and Amazon!!!

This printer works wonderfully as a business/home printer. It probably isnt the quality one would want for photo prints, although not bad, it is a great printer. This is our second brother printer both MFCJ printers and they are great. We have had HPs and they just dont hold up.

I followed all startup steps as shown on the package insert up to "Check Paper Quality," which appeared on the devices digital window; but after pressing the button to start the check paper quality, I got a message that said to fix paper jam! What?? (I had previously loaded the tray with about 200 sheets of printer paper as instructed in the insert.) When I pulled open the paper tray to look for a paper jam, there was no paper jam, not behind the paper tray or under the scanner lid. When I continued the instructions to end the process that required me to press the stop button ("x"), all that happened was a non-explanatory beeping sound. After that happened after three attempts, and the machine would not let me shut it down with its on/off button, I resorted to pulling the cord out of the wall. Replugging the machine did not reset anything; it took me back to the same message, "paper jam," except the machine no longer beeped when I pressed the "stop" button. However, it did beep when I tried to press any other key. Oh, my! I just got this printer, and I am back to where I was a few days ago when my first Brother printer (MFC-J985DW), suddenly died after two years, because of its paper tray getting stuck in the machine and could not be fixed with a simple cost-effective process. This problem might have a simple fix; but I doubt it, because the problem happened only during its simple startup. If anyone has a tip that might solve my problem, please post it here before I start going through the Amazon Return process. Thanks.
