I did not believe it would really save as much as it claimed on ink, but it has! In fact, its already paid for itself in the ink savings!! I was spending over $100 a month in ink previously - I bought this printer on July 23rd. Just bought my first black replacement (for $20) Only caution I would give is that it is slow! If you print a lot or need something quick, this isnt going to do it.

I was replacing an older Brother printer. This one does all the things I needed, and had the advantage of Wifi connection (which would make using it so much easier for the various devices in this household). Setup was quick and straight forward. Print quality is comprable to my old printer (MFC-465CN - which tells you how long I had that one). The feel of the plastic used in the printer body isnt as substansial as my old printer, but I see no issues with the quality of it. Time will tell if this will hold up to the same standards of my previous printer.

Ive used the printer for 7 months and just love it. My wife is a realtor, and we are constantly printing listing sheets and making copies. After 7 months of usage the black ink is not even half way used. Looks like we will get a year out of a black ink cartridge and perhaps two out of the colors. With my HP, we were constantly buying new cartridges. Quality is great, features are good and ink usage is fantastic. Would buy again in a heartbeat!

A good printer with fine print and color quality. Ink usage seems to be relatively low. Lacks a rear paper feed for forms, labels and envelopes; a minor annoyance. The basic scanner function is fine, but the scan quality adjustments are limited and awkward compared to my previous Epson product. The auto page feed is a plus. I have used the OCR engine only a few times; results have been poor. Some of the plastic parts are a bit flimsy, but consistent with a product in this price range. I dont fax, so cant comment on that function.

I love this printer. It was super easy to set up. Our last printer (workforce) was horrible with ink consumption, it got to the point I couldnt stand it anymore and just trashed it. This one is like a dream, we have used it nearly everyday for a couple of months now and havent had to change the ink yet. It moves fast enough for my small office. Overall this is the first time Ive been no super happy with a printer in years.

Price and ink-use are pluses, as is the print quality. Im not happy with how slow the data transfer takes from my PC to the printer as well as the very limited supply of paper it holds. If youre not in a hurry or dont print multiple copies, this printer is fine. Truth to tell, I miss the HP this printer replaced.

Brother Inkjet Printer, MFC-J775DW XL is working very well and was easy to setup. The sleep mode is great since it can be located further from the computer and you dont need to get up out of your chair to turn it on. The ultimate in laziness, I know! It is of a very nice quality except, the black does not seem to be as deep & dark as our previous printer, but it is adequate. You need to check the printer preview orientation or your print will print 90 degrees. I have not used the scanner yet.

Ive been very disappointed with this printer. First, it doesnt work well at all with AirPrint, and the app that Brother supplies as a substitute is a lesser (and often ineffective) alternative. Its so frustrating to have a wireless printer to which you cant print wirelessly from all your mobile devices. Second, its incredibly slow. My prior printer, which was 4-5 years old and cost about the same, was much faster. In fact, I struggle to recall seeing another printer in the last several years that printed as slowly as this one. So disappointed.

This is a great inexpensive printer. The ink lasts a really long time. I was looking for a wireless printer that didnt guzzle the ink like our old cannon. After doing research I decided on this brother inkvestment one. I have no regrets purchasing this printer. We havent changed the ink yet (9+ months of printing homeschool worksheets) and when we do get to that point I love that all the colors are separate cartridges. That way Im not changing them all just because 1 color has run out.

Material printed out one day and the next day papers came out with nothing on them when I sent material from my computer. Had to call for tech support because nothing worked. Then went through a long process to clean/correct the clogged ink source. A lot of time wasted trying to address this problem when I was very busy working on a deadline. It was not that much to print - it just was not printing. If I have to go through that process very many times, I will not want to use the printer. You cant just feel your way through a problem going by the selections on the front of the printer. Not user friendly. Darkness/lightness of print is not consistent - sometimes lighter and sometimes darker. Very disappointing.
