This monitor did not work out of the box and yet brand new? We tried everything to make it work and realized it was a lemon. I will never buy ViewSonic products. They wasted my time and energy to figure out how to just turn on!

Good screen, sound is poor to fair; I will use my own speakers. The screen controls do not have any description (yes, I checked the manual). The buttons are backwards to what is shown on the screen, all buttons are the same. even identical to the power button. The buttons are for some reason, hidden underneath. Also underneath is not a smooth surface, but ribs that, to a finger with calluses, feel the same as the buttons. I may return this monitor if I cannot adjust the controls. (Why cant I select zero stars?)

I purchased this product four months ago and it just stopped working. It has been one problem after another including their warranty coverage. First, even when the monitor worked, it was very difficult to adjust the volume. It didnt just have a volume control button (that I could find anyway.) To adjust the volume, I had to navigate lengthy onscreen prompts using hidden buttons underneath the monitor. Next, the monitor stopped working altogether. When I contacted the Amazon SquareTrade extended warranty service, they said I had to contact the manufacturer. When I contacted the manufacturer, the insisted that its the fault of the HDMI connection. I told them that Id tried two different HDMI cables that were new and near-new. So now they are sending me material to send the monitor back so they can check the connection. So I will be without a monitor for an extended period of time. It would be so much easier and better for both of us if theyd just send me a new monitor. Needless to say, Im disappointed w/ this ViewSonic product and cannot recommend it.

I have two Samsung 27" monitors. One went bad, so I bought tow of these. Thankfully I only unpacked one. Compared with the Samsung, the display is dim, dull, and fuzzy. The controls are poorly designed and poorly placed. Also, once you attach the pedestal to the back of the monitor, good luck getting it off. Youre gonna need it. I am returning mine.

Just received this unit - Im sure the video and audio will be what we are looking for, as we have been satisfied with ViewSonic products in the past. But upon putting the base and stand together, it looks like this unit has no tilt or height adjustment at all. I dont think Ive ever had a monitor that couldnt be adjusted both for height and tilt angle. Evidently I will need to use shims to tilt it for viewing comfort. If an adjustable base is something that has to be ordered (and paid for) separately, that feels like a real ripoff. The "instructions" are pretty much useless - type is too small to read without a magnifier, and the illustration shows nothing about tilt or height adjustments (and is too blurry to tell what it does show). No videos that we could find either. Although I may be pleased with the viewing quality of this display, out of the box it was a bit of a disappointment. If this thing actually does tilt, there is no information anywhere to tell me how to do it.

Good picture Looks cheap Poor sound, I didnt expect to blast the latest jams, but the sound is too poor even to make out the WORDS in a high quality recording. Oddly, you cant even use the headphone jack - it sounds like garbage. If I was ViewSonic, I would ditch the sound functionality completely and put a few extra cents into the case itself. If you dont need the VESA mounting capability or the useless sound, I would go with the HP22CWA monitor. It has a much better mount and is far more premium looking for roughly the same price.

I paid for a 22 inches monitor, when I installed them (I bought 3 of them) i noticed that they were smaller, so I measured them and they are 20 inches. I wanted to returned them but just to put everything back in the box and the hustle to send it back... i kept them, but these were not the monitors that I paid for.

Picture quality seems quite good. Sound, well, no. Output is weak at best and not at all impressive. But the thing that annoys the living daylights out of me is that it is not stable. Any touch, or bump of the table it is sitting on and it will flop 5 degrees left or right. Yeah, not a lot, but enough to be really annoying. Power button is not visible, it is on the bottom immediately adjacent to the settings menu button. Cant just look and press the switch, you have to feel under the edge to find the switch. Be sure to feel from right to left to make sure you get the power button and not one of the others. These are fairly minor, if annoying, features. So it gets 4 stars overall. UPDATE: Instruction sheet that comes with the monitor is impressive, over 2 dozen languages. But this makes it so small that the non-labeled instruction drawings are too small to see and really dont provide much information. By scanning and enlarging, I found that assembly requires the "neck" to be inserted on the monitor first and then the round stand snapped on. This eliminates most of the wobble. Too bad they couldnt provide decent instructions.

Altogether I’m happy with the quality of the monitor - I’m quite IRRITATED with the shipping... I happened to be home whenever my order (two of these monitors and a dual monitor stand) were delivered. I was alerted to my packages being delivered by a surprisingly loud BANG coming from my front door that I heard from my living room, through the door, over 20 feet away. I immediately went to the door and opened it to find one box (containing the monitor referenced in the picture) at my feet. The delivery driver was back at his van retrieving the other two boxes. It was immediately clear that the BANG I heard was the delivery driver THROWING my f***ing package, in a rush. Needless to say the other two packages were carefully handed to me. After unpackaging everything and getting it all set up I thought I was in the clear and there was no clear damage done. But a couple of weeks later when I started working from home, on the computer for hours a day, I noticed the monitor that was THROWN has a weird issue with the display, which you can see in the picture. A simple row of B’s in Excel shows how whatever is internal is now displaying crooked, which admittedly is much more evident in person than via picture. I say I’m irritated because beyond this minor (and blatantly unnecessary defect) the monitor works exactly as expected, and this logistics issue is the only reason I’m not awarding five stars. If you’re reading this, unless you have a jack@$$ delivery person like I did, you’ll likely be very happy with this product. But seriously Amazon, I’ve loved being a prime member for years now and this is literally the first issue I’ve ever had. Please look into your last-mile logistics so that your loyal customers don’t have to deal with a similar situation. I’d return the product for a new one but the hassle just wouldn’t be worth it.

Yes it is even though the size is 2in shorter and at 60hz compared to the msi 240hz this thing is awesome. Nice bang for your buck so to say. My old msi monitor would DC when I went fullscreen on my games and take about 3 min to reconnect back and turn on and on top of that the GPU would register the resolution wrong with it. This does not do that. Also the sound is ok but not great but works. I got my view sonic refurbished and it does its job. Customer support is quick also had it shipped to old addresses and they were keen to fix it. Was on day it was supposed to be delivered and was rerouted. Took a little longer but got to the right location in the end Good job guys! Only cons is the buttons are cheapish but thats fine, and top of monitor is slightly bent outward but not noticeable after awhile. Also cant adjust the height but hey you get what you pay for and nothing a few hard books cant handle. Would recommend it again.
