No VESA mount, I dont believe the stand is height adjustable that it comes with either, and it comes with only a dinky HDMI cable ($400 monitor,1440p@144hz and they cant even give you a displayport cable?) and the power plug uses a small plug to a power brick to the thicker standard power plug, advantages and disadvantages but kind of obnoxious because the brick almost didnt reach the floor (weight/stress on the cable), and its needlessly long compared to the 4 foot or something HDMI cable they gave.

NOTE: This review is for the 27" 144hz Curved Freesync. So dont read it if that isnt what youre considering. There are important differences in the models and features. Regarding refresh rate: As long as you have a powerful enough graphics card (you must research this first), and HDMI 1.4 or 2.0, and your PC recognizes this monitor (via installing drivers), then it should definitely display the 144hz for you. I had been using integrated graphics on an older PC, and it wouldnt output higher than 60Hz... but once I installed my GTX 1060 6GB card on my new PC, it instantly displayed at 144hz. And for ANYONE who claims that 144Hz is overkill unless youre a serious gamer, I have news for you: 144hz LOOKS WAY NICER, EVEN IF YOU ARENT A GAMER. I had been using 60Hz forever, and the difference was immediate. I feel less eye strain for sure, and I definitely notice silky smooth mouse movements and scrolling. So if youre teetering on the fence about the 75hz model vs 144hz, Id recommend just going for 144hz. Especially if you spend long hours in front of your screen. Regarding response time: DO NOT pay attention to the "most helpful poor review" here claiming that this monitor has an incorrectly advertised response rate. There is no false advertising about its advertised 5ms response time. However, its TYPICAL response time is actually 21ms (and they dont lie about this either; its directly in the specifications), and that is what it is defaulted to. So if you want the 5ms response time, simply go into the settings on the monitor and change the Response Time to "ultra fast." There are 3 speeds, and "normal" is the slowest, at 21ms. Regarding speakers: Theyre decent, but if youre planning on routing the audio from either the line-in or headphone jack, be aware that it doesnt have a strong output -- I had to max the speaker volume to get much sound out of it. Probably better to get your sound from elsewhere. Display quality: Im not experienced in monitors, so I don have much to compare this to in terms of objective viewing experience quality, but as an average user, I can say that HD movies look amazing, and Ive been playing my Nintendo Switch games on it beautifully. (And as I said earlier, the 144Hz for PC is a joy on the eyes -- but the Switch only goes up to 60Hz). The surface is a matte finish, and there is no glare because it has an anti-glare coating. The curve is pretty minor at 1800R, so you have to be fairly close to it in order to feel immersed in what youre watching, or games. Viewing angles are great... I havent noticed myself having to re-position myself or the monitor due to the colors looking off. Display options and versatility: This is the monitors strong point, by far. Maybe its because Im a nerd. I LOVE the variety of "view modes" that this monitor offers. There are a whopping 7 presets for viewing experiences, and 2 of those are "gaming" and "standard" which EACH have an additional 5-6 features for custom display features. Mostly, these have to do with contrast and black stabilization (making the blacks more black and whites more white). Speaking of contrast, this monitors strong point is excellent contrast, since it uses MVA panel technology. It also offers tons of color options and presets too, including the blue light filter for easing eye strain. Also helpful to reduce eyestrain is the fact that the monitor utilizes DC backlighting rather than PWM, (its "flicker-free") which minimizes eyestrain as well. These two features are part of its touted "eye care" technology. Also worth noting, it arrived in perfect condition in a sealed box. Setup was ridiculously easy. The monitor cannot be raised or lowered any higher, and nope: there is no VESA mount on the back for this model. Ill be updating this as I gain more experience and understanding about monitor technology, and my overall experience with it.

At first I was not sure if I would like this monitor because of its curve, but I have actually found that I love it! Surely the monitor is expensive, but you are paying for a very high quality, detail oriented monitor, that has a very sleek design, that will make any room appealing. I am a PC gamer, and at 1440p, with gtx1080, my games look absolutely breathtaking on this thing. Highly recommend. multitasking, having windows side by side is also a nice luxury.

I usually dont get to buy nice things for myself, but decided to spend the little bit extra and get this monitor. It is beautiful, the quality is very impressive with vivid colors and smooth motion. I can split the screen while writing code and because of the great resolution, I get just as much real estate as I had with my 2 older 20 screens. The curve in the display is immersive. 2019-01-21: I actually ended up cracking this monitor during a move. After being angry at myself, I ended up looking to replace it with the same monitor. During the life of the monitor, I had no major issues. The minor issues I had were that the "V" in the "Viewsonic" logo on the front fell off and there was one barely noticeable pixel that died in the bottom right-hand corner. Other than those, I would have gladly kept this monitor until it died. It was a beautiful display. RIP VX3258.

Absolutely stunning experience transitioning from a regular 60hz monitor to a 144hz monitor. The lack of motion blur is so smooth and immersive. It legitimately improves my first person shooter gaming experience. It makes using a sniper rifle in game so much easier and intuitive, when moving you can see detail so sharp that it makes it very easy to keep an eye on things or identify things while turning, moving, etc, and immediately snap to them with your cursor/crosshair. I would only recommend you purchase this product if you are confident that your computer can run the games you intend to play at 144 frames/sec or higher. Otherwise just purchase a 120hz or even 100hz monitor. The speakers are not bad. Theyre not amazing either. The fact that the monitor even has speakers compared to the majority of low profile thin panel LCD screens makes it hard to give it any criticism as there is not a lot you can do to maximize the sound quality of a speaker that is only 3-5mm thick.

I havent had the need to get a new computer monitor since the last time I bought one in 2012, a Planar SA 2311W 120hz, which is still to this day working accordingly. But I wanted to get a new monitor, and I didnt want to get a 4k one, because Im not doing any 4k gaming on my computer. I came across this monitor a couple of days ago, and what first caught my attention was the price. At $233 its one of the cheapest 1080p 144hz 1ms 27" monitor I have come across Amazon. The box arrived and it was mauled a bit around the corners, but the monitor was intact. I had read that to achieve 144hz you need an hdmi 2.0 cables so I ordered IBRA Orange HDMI Cable 6ft - UHD HDMI 2.0 (4K@60Hz)Ready -18Gbps-28AWG Braided Cord -Gold Plated Connectors -Ethernet, Audio Return -Video 4K 2160p,HD 1080p,3D -Xbox PlayStation PS3 PS4 PC Apple TV , and connected the monitor with that. It looks great, it took me a little time to get used to it, because I thought it was going to be sharper, but the icons looked a little blurry, after tweaking the colors and adding some sharpening to the screen the monitor looks now vibrant and pretty amazing. I am considering later on buying a second one to dual screen, because the low bezel on the sides of the screen is perfect for that. Some people complain that you cant raise up and down the monitor, but I was OK with that because the height i have it sitting at its fine. I am probably going to add a mounting arm for my monitors later on. Bottom Line: 1080p 144hz 1ms for under $250

I had my previous Dell 24" LCD monitor for 13 years. Ive been through numerous PC builds during that time. So it was time to retire the beast. The last time I had ViewSonics, is when I had dual CRTs. So its been awhile. I am really pleased with this new monitor. I did not take long to adapt to the curved screen. I really like it for gaming. If you do a lot of spreadsheets, this is probably not the monitor for you. I have this hooked up to my laptop. I just keep the lid closed and use it as a desktop replacement. I also have my PS4 connected to it. The monitor has built in speakers, but those are nothing to write home about. So I have my desktop speakers connected to the headphone jack of the monitor. I knew I could get audio from my Playstation doing this, but I did not realize I could also get audio from my desktop. Nice! The joystick navigation is a little awkward and you have to push down and hold it to shut off the monitor. Not a deal killer, but something worth mentioning. I really like the automatic display input switching. If I shut off my PS4, the monitor automatically switches to my pc desktop. I cant speak to its reliability or longevity, but ViewSonics are typically great quality. It is money well spent. Edit 01/02/2019 One thing I wanted to add. This monitor has some of the worst light bleed I have ever seen. Im not sure if its because of curve or not. There are a few things that I can do and see if I can reduce it. The picture says it all.

As far as Ive found in my research, this is a Samsung panel, so it will have great picture quality and contrast. There is a bit of backlight bleed on the panel I got, but its not really noticeable during gaming or watching movies. This is the first high refresh rate display Ive owned, and Im definitely very happy with it. I did order the protection plan, because its a no brainer for a multi hundred dollar display. The only issue that I have is that the menu buttons are very hard to reach with a multi-monitor setup. I was a bit disappointed that the only panels at this price are curved displays, and I think its kinda gimmicky. Thankfully, you dont really notice it after extended use. Overall, the display is fantastic. I definitely recommend this panel if you dont want to break the bank, but also have all the fancy modern features of newer panels.

This monitor has only one drawback and that the fact the stand is not adjustable - not a deal breaker because the colors are great and white is white not some off shade of white. This 32 inch curved monitor is beautiful and easy on the eyes. I know this is a free sync monitor so it shouldnt work on an Nvidia video card, but for some reason beyond my understanding it works perfectly at 144z refresh on my wifes system. I bought this monitor knowing full well that it shouldnt work with her computer system, but because the size and quality were needed more than the refresh rate. The price was 200.00 less than the equivalent monitor running Gsync for use with an Nvidia video card. I cant promise that this monitor will work with your Nvidia card system, but it still might. This monitor was purchased for my wife who spend too much time working from home on her computer system. The size was very important and so was the blue filter to protect her eyes from prolonged usage. This has been a great investment for someone I love! P.S. I spent weeks researching monitors so hopefully this review will save you some time and money as well. My wifes video card is Nvidia 1050 TI.

This is my first curved monitor and my first ViewSonic. I can say that it is the BEST monitor I have ever had! I love the crisp presentation and the brilliance of the display. As a matter of fact, I like it so well that I just ordered one for my son. Super Duper happy!!!
