This monitor truly is beautiful, but you need to know what youre getting into. I tested a lot of games, videos and such on this monitor. Coming from a 24 inch 1080p monitor it is taking some time to get use to the size. Everything looks amazing though. It is a TN panel so it doesnt have the best viewing angles, but then again that doesnt bother me as I dont look at my monitor from the side, only head on. From reading other reviews I expected the stand to be a whole lot more wobbly than what it actually is. I dont find myself bumping into my desk very often or trying to watch a movie during an earthquake, so the stand seems fine for my applications. There is also a lot of talk about this monitor not being able to work with amazon prime video or Netflix due to HDCP compatibility. In the NVIDIA control panel it says its hdcp compatible and I was able to watch amazon prime movies with it. I dont have Netflix so I cant test that. I have a 4790k and an Asus strix 1080 and pubg runs at 30 - 40 fps in 4k when I got ~80 in 1080p, so If you care more about frame rate than picture quality you might want to hold off on getting a 4k monitor and just get a 144hz monitor. Also while games look great in 4k on it UI scaling in some games seems to be an issue. If you play league of legends the game actually looks quite amazing, but the mini map and health bars are VERY small. I figure it will just take more time for developers to adapt. Bottom line is that every issue Ive ran into is of no fault of the monitor itself, 4k content looks great, 1080p upscaled also looks good. If you think you can get use to a 28 inch monitor and enjoy picture quality then I can recommend this for you. I figure over time I will find myself loving this monitor more and more.

if you going to get this monitor PUT IT IN THE MIDDLE HDMI SLOT! or Use the DisplayPort Cable because first on the Left(Looking at it from the back) HDMI is 30Hz and middle one 60Hz. Also dont forget to change response time in the setting to FASTEST. If you have Nvidia GPU go Nvidia control panel and change the Hz to 60Hz with drop down menu. It comes with HDMI 2.0 Cable too and DisplayPort 1.2. make sure to calibrate the contrast and gamma because they are inaccurate and messed up with factory setting. So far the monitor is flawless and colors are great. Black is black and white is white. It is very decent monitor. Literally nothing else to say. It is just great monitor.

I bought this monitor to pair with my Xbox One X SE. This thing has blown me away, literally. The house is getting tired of hearing me say "THIS THING IS A BEAST" the color* and picture quality are great. *you lose some color when you move away but not pic quality. It has no HDR, which is fine cause most monitors dont have the real HDR 1000nits. This has Quantum Dot tho and Playing games and watching 4K content is a surreal experience. Glad I bought this monitor and would recommend it to anyone looking for a monitor for Xbox One X. I upgraded from a Asus VP28UGQ which is a great 4K, 1ms monitor in its own right, but has TN panel. This one is even faster than that. You have to try it!!

Update 12-14-2018: Revised from 4 stars to 3 stars. After much effort, I believe I was finally able to get the display to do what I purchased it for, which is to display UHD @ 60Hz as a computer monitor. I cannot give it more than 3 stars because it does not comply with the current HDCP 2.2 standard which I have written about below. Consequently, the monitor cannot be used to display any copyrighted content that uses the HDCP 2.2 standard or later. Since I will only use it as a desktop computer monitor, this limitation is acceptable to me. The blackout issue: It appears there were two causes for this problem: (1) The most current driver supplied by Gigabyte for their GV-N1030OC-2GI video card (v391.35) had some type of intermittent issue running under Windows 7. Nvidia has a later driver on their website (v417.35) that seems to have corrected it. (2) The HDMI 2.0 connector on the back of the monitor is somewhat twitchy running UHD @ 60Hz. Depending on the cable used, the signal sometimes drops out when the cable is touched. After testing multiple cables, the high speed cable that Samsung included with the monitor is the one that did not have this problem. The HDCP 2.2 compatibility issue: According to Samsung’s customer support representative, the monitor is only HDCP 1.4 compliant and *not* HDCP 2.2 compliant. HDCP 2.2 is not backward compatible with earlier versions. Since nearly all current UHD video cards require at least an HDCP 2.2 compliant monitor to keep a copy protected UHD video signal from blacking out, this monitor cannot be used to display copy protected UHD content with today’s hardware (HDCP as of Feb 2018 is on version 2.3, which I understand is backward compatible with v2.2). HDCP 1.4 monitors are obsolete with respect to HDCP 2.2 video sources and later. I believe the HDCP version and compatibility should be clearly stated in the monitor specifications, which was not the case when I purchased this. When everything works as intended, HDCP compatibility should only affect video content that is copy protected by its distributors. It should not otherwise interfere with using this monitor as a desktop display. Converter boxes: There are third party HDCP 2.2 to 1.4 external converter boxes available. The ones I found are only HDMI 1.4 and do not fully support UHD @ 60Hz. Those cannot be used in an HDMI 2.0 application such as this. Original 4 star review is posted below. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have had this a few days and the picture quality looks great. I have the 31.5" LU32H750UMNXZA, which I believe is a high quality VA panel. It has a higher contrast ratio and wider viewing angle than the 28" LU28H750UQNXZA, which is a TN panel. VA versus TN is a noticeable difference in technology, and both Samsung and Amazon should state more clearly the different tech in these two displays. In my opinion, Samsung should have assigned obviously different model numbers. Because they did not do that, the 28” and 32” listings and reviews for these monitors are lumped together here on Amazon, compounding the confusion. There were some technical difficulties in setting up this monitor. As others have said, port 2 is the only HDMI port that supports the published 3840x2160 @ 60 Hz. When displaying that resolution and frame rate, the screen blacked out at random times and the upper left corner showed the monitor rotating through source selections as if it had no signal. Once blacked out, the display would often not recover until the HDMI cable was unplugged and reinserted.

I searched for deal after deal for a 4k monitor to go with my recently purchased Xbox One X so i can have a 4k experience. I knew going into this I wouldnt be getting HDR buuut I kept thinking quantum dot would make up for that and honestly for me, it has. Granted I wiiiiish this had a better panel than the TN it has but honestly when youre gaming, youre not looking away from the screen or at an angle. If you are, then I dont know what youre doing lol. I will throw this out there and say watching netflix has been trash but im curious if it is due to not having 4k content to view. Games on the other hand look amazing. Gears of Wars 4 was so clear and just crispy. Fifa 18 looks insanely great as well. Being 60hz is perfect for the xbox as well since thats its max but if you were looking to use this for a PC like i might be doing in the future I would find something with 120hz juuust to be looking ahead. Though there werent many at a reasonable price with 4k. (or any?) I almost got something at 1440p with 120hz but I want to say I am glad I didnt as the color reproduction on games and just overall use has been better than I expected. I will also mention there isnt insanely noticeable light bleeding. its super minor probably due to being a TN panel. I had a VA? and it was bleeding everywhere on dark scenes. Another thing is someone mentioned it was too bright and I kind of agree but its not bad since you can definitely adjust it, but the colors.... the colors are nice. Did I already say that? OH! and another thing, Freesync. I have tried it but have no noticed anything. I was curious as if this only works through Displayport and a lot of sites said it is only through displayport but some believe it works on hdmi 2.0 but I havent noticed a difference with it on or off.. I have the appropriate cable as well by the way. So Im not sure there but if you know and care to let me know, thatd be nice. Anyway, I dont regret going for this monitor in the sea of monitors that are out there, just wish it was 120hz and this thing would be killer for my incoming pc..

This Monitor is produces an amazing picture. It is true that the viewing angles are not great. However, I am using this monitor for gaming for both a PS4 Pro and Xbox One S in 4k. I opted for the 28", because I am pretty much right in front of the monitor on my desk. Therefore, the viewing angle doesnt affect me at all. I did a lot of research via reviews, forums and videos on HDR for gaming, and it seems as if gaming isnt quite there yet and a brilliant monitor might be the better choice. Although, the picture looks great in HDR, there were some games that were producing graphics and picture not viewable in HDR, but were viewable in a standard picture due to contrast and color. That is why I ultimately opted for this monitor. The colors are vibrant and beautiful, and I dont feel like Im missing much when compared to an HDR TV or Monitor. All in all, for the price, this is a great choice for both a computer and gaming.

If you are using this for Xbox you need to read this. I was having issues trying to get 4K to play on my Xbox One X on this monitor and neither Samsung nor Xbox could help me but after trial and error I figured it out. No joke, you have to trick your Xbox. I conveniently have a 4K Samsung TV and it was my saving grace. First plug your Xbox X into a TV that fully supports 4K HDR10. Then go to your Xbox settings and select display and sound. Next go to video output. Then go to video modes. Select: Allow 50Hz, Allow 24Hz, Allow 4K, and Allow YCC 4:2:2. DO NOT select Allow HDR10. Here comes the funny part. Unplug the HDMI cable from the back of the TV and plug it into the HDM1 2 port on the monitor. That’s right, I said the second HDMI port because for whatever reason the HDMI 1 port does not work for Xbox. Now if you head back to your setting, back to the display and sound, you need to select resolution. It should now have the option for 4K UHD. Now to get the fastest refresh rate you must go to you monitor’s settings. Unfortunately there is no remote that came with this monitor so you will have to use the little button on the back of the monitor. You need to go up to settings, RIGHT to picture, and all the way down to response time. Select it and choose fastest. You can choose whether or not you want game mode on. I like it on but it’s personal preference. Now you are ready to experience what you paid for. Not sure why they made it so complicated to get this monitor to work but once it does, it’s great. Hope this helps, if not sorry and good luck.

Its not fair that I give this monitor a 2 star review. Its not Samsungs fault that Amazon sold this as a new product and delivered a defective returned one. The box it came in was so large that USPS would not deliver it, so that was a trip to the post office. Once installed (no small feat) I discovered all of the settings had been "Customized" and the audio output from the 3.5mm jack was crackled and distorted. Amazon wouldnt replace the monitor but gave me full credit back (remains to be seen though). Now though, I cant buy this monitor at that price anymore PLUS I have to take it back to a UPS store for return shipment. I loved this monitor other than the audio issues it had, the QLED delivered the picture quality I was expecting and performed as I expected with my Xbox One X. It was just a shame that Amazon sold this as a new item and put us both through this hassle. Ive been a customer since the late 90s and noticing a clear change in the quality of goods being sold. Careful Amazon. That will end you.

So instead of the power supply being part of the monitor and using a standard 3-prong power cable, it comes with a wall wart power supply and uses a barrel connector... a bit unusual to see on a monitor of this type in this day in age. Nevertheless, the issue is the DC port on the monitor is very flimsy and wont hold the jack in. One little nudge to the monitor or cable causes the monitor to lose power. It falls out very easily. One time reaching to plug it back in, the connector had gotten extremely hot and burned my hand. I was considering exchanging this monitor for a replacement but was told by a friend with the same monitor that his had the same issue. Not really sure what to do because otherwise its a great monitor. Update: I got a replacement monitor in. The plug is very loose on this one too but will at least stay in the jack as long as I dont touch the cord. Despite the good specs and price I couldnt recommend this monitor based on the poor power connector design. Beware that if you do buy it anyways that some of the third party sellers on here dont pay shipping costs if you need to RMA it as was my case!

First the Product: The product I received was exactly as described honestly. Appear to be of good quality. Then the Shipping: I paid for faster shipping and then USP had a one day delay which means I paid nothing. However, Amazon refunded my additional shipping fee. Got to love Amazon. I received this monitor and appears to be a great buy. But, you need to know a few things. First off, the description states that there is an HDMI cable and makes no mention of the Display Port cable leading me to believe that there isnt one. However, there is both an HDMI and Display port cable included. Second, The screen is extremely bright and will give you a headache if you are too close to the monitor. But, if you look into the setting on the monitor itself, there is a setting to ease eye strain called eye saver mode. Lastly, the monitor settings that supports Display Port 1.1 and 1.2 (circa 2010) and does not appear to support Display Port 1.3 (circa 2014) or 1.4 (circa 2014).
