The monitor faces downward a couple of degrees; not even perpendicular to the desk, it actually tilts forward and downward. There is no adjustment available on the stand, and no screw holes on the back for a wall bracket. Why even bother building a monitor without tilt adjustment?

As someone else pointed out, these are pictured with wall mount holes, but the model being shipped is not the picture shown. Very disappointing to get 6 monitors onsite only to find out they wont work. In my case, these are completely unusable and going back.

I have two of these monitors, one for my laptop and one for my video editing computer. They have a nice crisp and bright display. Contrary to some other reviews, the monitor position is adjustable by laying it face down on a flat surface and holding it down with one hand, while simultaneously moving the base up or down with your other hand.

Got this to use with my security camera system. Proves to a great application for this monitor.

Im a 2-monitor type of user, so comparing the picture quality of this monitor with that of the older HP monitor that I use is easy. And here is the interesting part, the quality of Samsung (using an RBG cable) is much better than that of the HP (using the HDMI cable)! Its very light, which makes me wonder a little about its durability, but sitting on my desk, how much abuse will it have to absorb? And yes, you can adjust the tilt! Set-up was quick and uneventful. If I have any complaints, it would be that the configuration menu relys on some touchpoints under the lower right corner. That makes it way too easy to touch the wrong point, and can make some adjustments a little bit of an adventure. All in all, I recommend this monitor!

My 9-year-old son is a big time gamer. He had an expensive Acer gaming monitor that started acting up on him. So, I thought wed give this Samsung a try. It is very early, but so far I am not impressed. I will return to revise the 2-star rating, if warranted, but I will provide my initial rating and explanation here. In fairness, the benchmark I am using is the much more expensive Acer gaming monitor that started acting up on my son, but there are several things I did not like initially: - Refresh Rate: The Amazon listing seems to be hiding the fact that the refresh rate is 75 MHz, which is nothing to write home about in gaming. My sons prior monitor went up to 256 MHz refresh rate. Why is the 75 MHz not plainly listed in the Amazon listing? It was printed right on the Samsung box that I received, and I was instantly disappointed. - Fixed Monitor Height and Tilt: Unlike my sons Acer monitor that could be raised up and tilted in order to ergonomically choose the right height and eliminate glare, this Samsung monitor offers neither. You get the height of the stand, which is actually very short. If you dont like it, you will have to buy a monitor riser or similar to put the monitor on top of it. If you want to tilt the monitor forward or backward, you are out of luck. No tilt whatsoever. - Game Mode: I turned on "Game Mode", which has to do with contrast, I believe, since my son was gaming while I was hooking up the monitor. Hes only 9 years old, and he immediately uttered an expletive that is not appropriate for an Amazon review. I blame his foul mouth on his mom, and she blames me. You know the routine. But I digress! Suffice it to say that my son was not impressed with Game Mode, and he asked that I turn it off. So much for that! - Lightweight: This monitor weighs about half of his Acer gaming monitor of the same screen size. This makes me wonder about how cheaply it is made. How can it be that light compared to a competitive monitor?!? There are some positives about the monitor, but they do not outweigh the negatives mentioned above: + Simple Setup: Literally had it working in about 5 minutes out of the box. HDMI cable included. Never even looked at the instructions. + Premium Glossy Black Frame & Stand: It looks really nice, and the glossy black stand and frame were covered with plastic film that I peeled off, revealing super premium-looking, glossy black. + Cool Touch Controls: The "buttons" for the monitor are activated by simply touching gently under the lower right edge of the monitor. There are actually no buttons there, but somehow it knows what you are "pushing" when your finger touches the appropriate area, as indicated by the graphics that appear on the monitor above the controls. The jury is still out on this monitor for my son, but I am predicting he will want to go back to his Acer gaming monitor. This monitor just seems too basic and slow.

FYI, the monitor DOES TILT. It did not look like at first, and it requires significant amount of pressure for it to move. This monitor appears pretty simple.. no built-in speakers, or usb inputs, no frills. Just a quality display. I think it would make a great addition for typical office work or for gaming. Ive owned several Samsung montiors/TVs for over 10 years and havent had a problem with any. Pros: Name brand monitor at reasonable price. Included cable appears to be of above average quality. Nice non-distracting minimalist design. Dislikes: The "buttons" to control the on-screen menu are awkward. They are capacitive touch on the underside. Its difficult to know what you are actually pushing. I dont like how the on-screen menu appears when the monitor wakes up from sleep. Its in the bottom right hand corner, blocking the Windows system tray icons and clock for a few seconds, pretty annoying.

I like this monitor. For the price, its pretty good. I keep this in my office. I see reviews saying it does have a tilt... it does, but it does not have a wall mount. Im pleased with it. Its got a clear picture, easy to set up and use... And for a Samsung monitor and for the money, I think its pretty good.
