Ive had the monitor for 5 days so far and it has been a great upgrade from my 6 year old TN panel. Here are some pros and cons. Pros: -Crisp Image -Nice colors -75hz out of the box -Freesync -No Dead Pixels -No lightbleed -Price Cons: -No Vesa mount -Small amount of Ghosting in Windows and in some games like Skyrim when moving the world map around and League of Legends from what ive noticed when 1ms Motion Blur reduction is turned on. Ive tried to fix it by setting Response time to High/Middle/Low and off but it didnt help. So i keep 1ms MBR off. Other than the small con this is a great monitor.

Theres just one glaring defect with this monitor, that may or may not bother some people. There are faint vertical lines on certain solid colors, mostly on windows blue, lightish blue, orange, yellowish-orange and reddish-orange. So youll see this defect on like the Firefox logo and windows 10 blue icons most. The lines are very faint and vertical. Mostly unnoticeable when playing games. But quite noticeable if you deal with solid colors alot... Its not a deal breaker for me, but it might be for you. Everything else though is perfect. Great viewing angles, great brightness, great contrast right out of the box, great colors, great blacks and whites. Only a faint IPS glow and backlight bleed. Great freesync range 40-75hz, modifiable to 36-75hz for low framerate compensation. Its just somewhat disappointing to see faint vertical lines on certain solid colors. Otherwise, this would have been the perfect monitor. Also changing the refresh rate to 60hz reduces the vertical faint lines a bit more. But I paid for a 75hz monitor!!! Ive decided not to return it. Im getting used to the lines. I dont notice it at all during games. I have seen these faint lines before but much worse on my cheap HP 15.6 inch n3060 laptop screen. That screen was horrible and had faint lines on every single color. LG is better but disappointing that they decided to cut costs somewhere.

This may not be a top of the line 144hz gaming monitor, but for me, going from 24" to 27" (size matters?), and up to 75hz along with Freesync, it was a pretty large upgrade. You hear about text being blocky with a 27" at 1080p, but it doesnt bother me at all. I didnt care to get a 1440p monitor, as it would be a bit much for my AMD XFX Radeon RX 480 4gb. It being Freesync capable is just a bonus, though that took me a bit to get working. It wasnt the monitors issue, more driver and settings. For a budget gaming monitor, this is perfect. Freesync is well worth it, if you have an AMD video card, the 75hz refresh rate is nice, and cant beat the price. I ordered a display port cable also, it is not included, but no big deal, I knew that going in. Also, no dead pixels, and no bleeding at all, none. Oh yeah, no ghosting either, maybe it isnt a true 1ms panel, but a 5ms or whatever IPS panel at this price is more than good enough for most people. Highly recommended!

Not the best LG monitor. All of its gaming features besides its 75hz refresh rate is a joke. Even running of display port does not solve these issues. I had to turn off all options just to get the ghosting to as low as possible. This is also a 5ms monitor as the 1ms again is a joke. This is a good cheap IPS 27in display but make sure you test for light bleed and dead pixels. This is not a true gaming monitor, just slightly better than average. There is no vesa mount options and the stand wabbles a lot when typing and moving the mouse while gaming. To top it off the pixels dont extend to the edge of the bezels leaving a 10 or more pixel gap. I will be returning this and getting something else.

These are fantastic monitors. The only thing it is missing is a VESA mount. So if you need that, these arent going to work for you. But I knew about that before purchasing. Otherwise they really are great. Full six color adjustability, 75Hz, over 99% Adobe sRGB color Spectrum, bright ( not sure how many nits but they are brighter than my Asus IPS panels) , they have a narrow depth and a thin frame without feeling fragile, and I even like the stands. I have purchased these for computer build of a friend and now I have a set for myself. Fantastic. Update: I still love these monitors. However there is one thing that bugs me. For some reason occasionally they wont wake up from sleep. It probably has something to do with my particular setup, but it is still annoying. I have gotten around it by setting the monitors to never sleep and use a screen saver. The picture is still great, plenty bright. I love the color accuracy. ( There are few things that bug me more than overblown colors like on lot of Samsung devices. I prefer accurate color) I do still recommend this display. I just thought this issue should be brought up. I did not have this issue with the same computer using my ASUS monitors.

This is a great looking monitor. The colors outside the box are top notch. I set it to "Cinema" mode and am very impressed. Out of the box, with no setting changes (Freesync off), the monitor runs at 75hz. I didnt try any game modes as Cinema looks fine and I only play MMOs and RPGs. Dont really care about the response time to much. I would definitely recommend this monitor to those wanting solid performance and great colors on a budget. That said, I can confirm that there is some pixelation on blue tints. For me, it was only at the very bottom of the screen and I had to look for it. It wasnt on all solid blue or any other solid colors, which I used to test dead pixels (have none) and any pixelation. I only saw it while loading a game and letting the intro play out. Again, it was minor and I had to look for it. Other parts of the screen, including the main display area, had no pixelation.

and not a cent more or less. Ive now tested five different monitors at different price points under $600. The conclusion Ive come to is that with these "gaming" monitors, you get exactly what you pay for. First, reviewers and tech Youtubers will tell you that TN and VA panels are fine. They are not. Their color and sometimes brightness suck compared to IPS. We are gaming on these things, the picture is literally the most important part of our gaming rigs next to our CPU and GPU, right? Right. So dont settle for a cheap monitor. Its massively important to get a good monitor but there are soooo many options is quite confusing. Dont settle for a VA or TN monitor. The only reason you should be using a TN is if you are a PvP min-maxer or competitive e-Sports player where every GtG response millisecond counts. For VA, well there is zero reason to settle for those washed out colors when plenty of "gaming" IPS panels are out there now. The colors on this cheap $150 LG IPS panel are better than the popular budget Viotek VA panel that costs $350 for example. But heres the catch, not even all IPS panels are created equal. A cheap IPS panel like this $150 LG, isnt as bright and doesnt have nearly as vibrant of colors as the $400 Acer IPS I settled on after my tests. LG has better IPS panels like all of the other manufacturers do, but they are priced accordingly. This monitor has no height adjustment and sits low on the desk, so you can instantly add $20-30 to your overall cost for a VESA mount adapter or monitor stand. After comparing 2K (1440P) resolution at 27" screen size vs. HD (1080p) the difference is definitely noticeable. If you didnt know any better, you may think a 27" HD resolution is fine for gaming. If you compared the two, youd never want to return to HD on a 27". The extra pixels per square inch a 2K screen has make everything look better from text while typing to in-game graphics. Also, there is a reason that 144hz or higher is very popular lately for gaming monitors. Between this 75hz monitor, and a 144hz, while gaming, there is a very noticeable smoothness to the moving objects on the screen with the 144hz. The 75hz appears a tiny bit choppy. Ive seen it referred to as micro stutters. I dont know if Id call it that, but it gives you an idea of the smoothness you get with a high hz. To sum it up: Pros - low price, Freesync, IPS vivid color, LG quality Cons - pixelated picture at 27" HD resolution, low budget IPS not as bright and vibrant as higher end IPS, no height adjustment, low hz (under 144hz), empty space between the edge of the screen and the bezel, looks like a defect but its by design.

I absolutely love this thing. I just got it today and so far it has been perfect for all my needs. I bought an ASUS VS278Q-P hoping it was good, and it turned out to be trash. Plus it was a little to big for my what I was looking for. I was really hoping this one was good and it was better then I was expecting. Pros: -Super crisp -Love the IPS panel and the LED back lit. The Asus monitor I got was neither of these and made me nauseous but this one is so comfortable on the eyes - Pretty big -Nice and slim -Love the color scheme and base -Super smooth with the 75hz, Overwatch looks beautiful and this Cons: -Honestly none so far -This could be a con but it doesnt have VESA mount but I wasnt planning on it so I didnt care Other thoughts: Just get it, I was super skeptical but dont be. Its honestly amazing. I now trust LG more then ASUS which is saying alot, at least monitor wise.

Needed a monitor for my new gaming PC that I could also use for editing photos, and this one fit the bill. It was difficult finding an IPS monitor that was also good for gaming but inexpensive but then I found this one. Its obviously not the best out there for either of the functions I need it for, but it does both well enough with no problems. Good price for the product.

I dont game with it, I do my homework with it. It is connected to my MacBook Air. Works fine but I wish it had a VESA mount option. Now that would be cool. But then it would probably cost allot more $$$ too. The mounting foot thing is kinda sketchy anyway, but it does work "ok". The monitor works fine for anyone out there working on their Masters program as a student, the image is clear and looks good.
