Love the side flaps, they really block out the wife. Five stars! Now I can actually aim on PUBG.

Absolutely, by far, the best monitor Ive ever used. I have a very powerful PC and always have above 300 fps usually for shooters like CS:GO. People like to say there isnt a difference between 144hz and 240hz. Thats completely, and utterly, false. After playing on a 144hz monitor for a while, I could tell a huge difference. Its so smooth and just makes snapping onto people so much easier. Ive also seen some people complain about the stock color...... Just change the picture mode to standard. For some reason it comes sent on a weird picture setting. Probably should change that up BenQ. Another thing is that Im a huge fan of simple looking, yet clean products. This monitor is exactly that. No fancy bs. Just clean and straight business. I fully recommend this monitor if youre looking for a future proof monitor as of now. I couldnt care less about 4k gaming. Give me 1080p and those delicious frames.

Good monitor, probably a bit overpriced. Unless youre a pro gamer, the flashy 240hz display probably wont make much difference. Its noticable, dont get me wrong, but its not huge. It also comes at a price other than $$$ -- picture quality. I can definitely tell the difference between this monitor and my IPS panel when it comes to picture quality. If youre someone who values graphics over speed, keep looking. If its only speed you care about, and youre willing to sacrifice some image quality, then Id recommend this monitor. Also, it goes without saying, but consider your budget. This isnt a cheap monitor.

Im a gamer, and photographer. This monitor is designed to cater to gamers first and formost, and it does a remarkable job at that. Dont mistake that 5 star review to mean that its the perfect monitor for anything else. Its a 5 star gaminig monitor easily. For color accuracy and etc look elsewhere, this is not the right tool for that job. Gamers delight: it has a "Super HDR" mode that shows people in the dark and suppresses overly bright areas. Its almost like cheating! I always see things that other players miss or cant see even when I tell them.

Something special about this monitor. I just love it, just the right screen size at 24.5", color on most videos above acceptable to even quite nice, super fast action, no lag. The quality of build is very impressive. I have nothing bad to say about this monitor. I would recommend setting the color while your in your actual game, not in the videos that come on while the game is loading. Thats 2 different things. Once I set Battlefield V in the actual game play, I know its right. Just my 2 cents. This monitor is a very unique experience and its a very reasonable price for the results. I am not sponsored or reviewing for anyone but myself, I bought and paid for this out of my own pocket on Amazon who was awesome as usual. I love gaming on this monitor, I have other monitors for my work and videos, this is all about gaming for me. Its 1080p which is the most basic resolution and so it provides far less lag on any gaming system or console. The 24.5" screen is plenty of space for gaining an edge, any larger and your eyes start to wander, at least for me. I love, love, love this monitor, the flaps are simply the icing on the cake, the basic design and fingerprint resistant finish is amazing, the carbon fiber looking real side looks simple and shouts quality and longevity. There are 2 HDMI ports for my PS4 Pro and XBOX ONE X, do I love gaming, thats a sever understatement, I will invest whatever it takes to improve the gaming experience. This one checks all the boxes for me. Again, its one of my 3 monitors, each one is different, its all about the mood, but, I cant put this aside, it just feels right. Im pumped, back to the Battlefield ladies and gentlemen, thats where all the fun and action is. Great Job Benq and Amazon, the ZOWIE XL2540,, this isnt about the absolute best colors, its about getting in the game and having the best chance to excel. Again, absolutely love this monitor just the way it is, convenient, durable as all get out and faster than a banshee.

Ive had this product for 3 months and I must say as a gaming monitor this is Incredible. Top notch, and an obvious improvement over 144Hz panels. Now theirs a bit more ghosting with this panel even on AMA = High than my previous BenQ XL2420TE at AMA = Premium which is kinda sad but isnt a big deal for me personally and still on par or better than most 120Hz+ TN panels. Now for the reason for 3 stars. Ive owned this monitor for about 3 months and about ever 5-6 weeks a new spec of dirt appears under my screen. (I know this is dirt UNDER the screen do to it not coming off when rubbed with a microfiber cloth and that Ive gotten 1 of them to move a couple inches by lightly tapping above it with a piece of cloth) Its quite annoying cause 2 of the now 4 (was 2 up until today) are big enough to block SEVERAL pixels. Currently in the process of RMAing my monitor will update my review (and rating) here in the coming weeks on the results of that. -edit- 8/1/2017 Got the response Today that they would like me to ship back my monitor for repair. Will be packing the monitor tonight and sending it tomorrow. (this would be a huge inconvenience if I was playing a game competitively as most games have match nights on Tuesdays/Wednesdays/Thursdays...) Luckily I am not, and also have a 144Hz monitor I can use until this is returned. 8/10/2017 BenQ Received the monitor on 8/8/2017 @9:17AM theyre now shipping me a new monitor (or at least a different monitor than I sent them) as of 1AM 8/10/2017. Im expected to receive this monitor back on 8/14 . I would say the timeliness of their Inspection and decision to send me a new one was was spot on 5/5, now the shipping on the other hand leaves more to be desired. I shipped the monitor on 8/2/2017 at 6PM which will leave me at minimum without my monitor for 11days and a handful of hours which for people playing eSports could mean missing 2-4 matches with their 240Hz, that being said it could be way worse and is better than some other parts Ive RMAd from other vendors. 4/5 I will update this review again upon receiving the monitor, and will try to do so about a month or 2 after. If I dont assume the monitor is working fine. 8/14/2017 Received this monitor today at 10:45AM. First couple notes. New monitor has older firmware and was produced in Nov 2016 my original was Dec 2016 (not an issue for me). Came in a plain cardboard box rather than the original box style, also not really an issue especially since they resent all the add-ons and cables. Looks like part of the stand popped of during shipping also not an issue since it reattached appropriately. New Monitor does have 1 dead sub pixel, which I have mixed feeling about. On one hand I have a monitor thats in way better condition than the one I sent in and the dead sub pixel is within 1/8th inch of the top bezel just right of center (and thus perfectly fine imo), but on the other I did just send in a monitor with a similar issue to this and this one already has one. Now so long as no more pop-up in the coming months Ill be happy. (Ive included a picture of the dead sub-pixel its to the right hand side within the mouse cursor) Im leaving my review at 3/5, I was planning on doing a 4/5 had this new monitor not had a dead sub-pixel, but I may up it to 4/5 if I have no more issues over the next 3-6 months. 7/17/2018 Monitor is still working well and no new dead pixels or subpixels have popped up in the 11 months Ive had it. Ive upped my review to 4/5. Would like to add that via the service menu this monitor is capable of blur reduction at 240Hz 1080p AMA = premium works well with the blur reduction, blur reduction on this monitor and other 240Hz 1080p monitors dont look right due to crosstalk, XL2546? with DyAc isnt as bad as this but its still pretty bad. Will have to wait until better hardware and protocol standards are developed for Blur Reduction on 1080p+ 240Hz+ monitors.

Likes: I had zero dead pixels on my monitor. Easy and great interface for quick switching profiles for movies, gaming and everyday use. My brother has another monitor made by BenQ and the colors with the same settings do not come through like they do on this monitor. 240 fps with a 1080ti is a must.

This thing is top-of-the-line. For starters, the 24.5 inches is HUGE in person. It actually takes up a good portion of my desk. Additionally, the G-SYNC and 240 hz are both noticeable. From the moment you turn this thing on, everything just looks and feels different. The assembly is relatively easy and none of the parts are cheap. In fact, the monitor is fully adjustable. You can twist, turn, raise and lower it as much as you like and it honestly feels nice. In terms of the picture quality, it only takes a few moments of adjustment to get the high-quality display that youre advertised. It comes with a small remote that hooks into a USB port on the monitor and allows you to switch between profiles on the fly. On my previous monitor, I was working with Kvoraaks Aim Trainer and found my perfect sensitivity. Moving to a significantly bigger monitor, I was able to keep that sensitivity, so that was nice. The 1920x1080 resolution and size helps to make games feel bigger and more immersive and its great at my job as well. I work as a tech support and the quality of life difference this monitor makes is huge. Also, in terms of gaming, you not only notice the 240hz refresh rate but also the black equalizer. As soon as I bought this monitor, I hopped into a game of Rainbow Six (which Im usually not very good at) and dropped a 9 kill game, then I finished out as MVP. And I never do that -- Im usually 0-4 and I started gaming on PC like several months ago after being a lifetime console guy! I do believe this monitor makes a noticeable impact on your performance and its REALLY easy to see people in dark spaces and weird angles (trust me, you learn this in R6 more than any other game). Overall, Im incredibly happy with this thing and wouldnt trade it for the world.

I went from a 60hz ASUS monitor to 240hz BenQ and the difference is night and day. Really impressed. A bit pricey but Im still satisfied.

Just finished returning and refunding an Asus ROG Swift XG248Q for having a dead pixel and thought to myself, BenQ wont let me down. Received this unit and less than an hour later, DEAD PIXEL.
