I had the smaller Acer Chromebook for several years and loved it. It survived a tumble down the stairs, an orange juice bath and finally succumbed when I dropped it and then stepped on it while on vacation. I bought this laptop based on the performance of the smaller one. The speed is more than adequate and, unlike some computers, is intuitive to operate. This one has dual speakers on the top of the unit which I thought were lousy until I saw that they were covered with a protective plastic layer! For my listening these are more than adequate. The bigger screen is really a plus; when I do a lot of reading I dont have to strain my eyes and it will be more fun to watch a movie. I am amazed that this computer costs less than the smaller one I bought several years ago. Definitely a great buy!

1st off - the laptop itself looks and feels great. The screen size is nice, it has a nice battery life and it boots/reboots quickly..... which I got to find out pretty early. The 1st time it froze up, it was for about 2 minutes. I figured Id just go ahead and have less instances of Chrome open next time but to no avail. The 2nd time it froze up when I pulled up the Play Store, stayed frozen for 5 minutes and then reset. I could go on but Im not going to describe every one of the 10+ instances it froze or the 6+ reboots. But what did it for me? I turned on the laptop, logged in & opened an instance of Chrome. Everything was fine. I took a shower and came back to a dark screen & thought it was just power saving. Nope. Hit the power button, logged in again, fired up Chrome & saw my buddy in the upper right-hand corner : "Chrome did not close correctly - Restore pages - Start Up Pages" (paraphrasing). WHAT?!?! The computer locked up while it wasnt even being used?!? Thats enough for me! This bad boy is being returned on Monday. Oh, did I mention that all this happened within the first 72 hours of ownership? Im surprised I was able to type this whole review without it locking up!

I was tired of Windows 10 faulty updates, and needed a reliable computer. The Acer was recommended to me by several friends. I got it last week and love it. Easy to set up and understand, no heat from hard drive, quick, less hassle, nice quality, etc. I still have my Dell with Windows 10, but for right now this Acer Chromebook is my first choice. It takes a little while getting used to a keyboard with fewer keys, and more closely spaced together, but I have no other qualms about this Chromebook. I am learning more about the Chromebook daily, and appreciate its simplicity and no need for added security. Excellent value, and performance. I was pleased with the Acers price and features. Easy to hook up to Ethernet with adapter if needed.

Purchased this to replace our old chromebook. For the price you cant beat this. I am sure that there are other machines out there that are superior in certain aspects, but for what we use this for; schoolwork, minimal web surfing, some you tubing and emailing it is a perfect machine for the price. Would highly recommend.

I have only had this for a couple days but I love it. I went from a macbook to this and expected to be disappointed. I didnt have to adjust any of the settings or anything with this laptop. I logged into my gmail and everything was perfect. So far I have no complaints. I cant believe how inexpensive it was.

I wanted a decent-sized laptop to use for traveling mainly for emails & some general Internet browsing as well. I went thru the variety of Windows 10 laptops & suddenly realized that Chromebook is a laptop as well, but more limited on what it can do compared to a Windows or Apple laptop. So I got this Acer Chromebook CB3-532 as my first Chromebook. Very nice looking laptop with a 15.6 inch screen, fairly easy to set up with a fairly good picture quality. It has a built-in webcam with mic, SD card reader, 1 USB 3.0 port & 1 USB 2.0 port plus HDMI port. It has 2 gigabytes of memory, 16 drive & headphone/speaker jack. It does not however have a CD/DVD player/burner. I attached an external mouse to use on this Chromebook....it works just fine. Laptop seems slightly sluggish but not a major issue for me....yet. I have had this Acer Chromebook for a month now & still a learning curve as I have been using Windows laptops for over 12 years now......so indeed a big learning curve for me. It has wifi connectivity & you cannot hard wire into the Internet with this Chromebook, just by wifi....which is fine for me. There are no real icons on the desktop of Chromebook. Whatever I used on my Windows 7 laptop & had desktop icons....I simply will have to funnel it through Chrome browser already on this laptop. Battery life seems good at currently 7 hour life on a full charge and for the most part, this nifty Chromebook should do fine for me . 4 stars I give this interesting Chromebook mostly because its a new thing for me to learn, but similar to my Android Smartphone....so not too bad, no desktop icons like a Android smartphone however. Needless to say, a learning experience for me with this Chromebook...keyboard a bit lacking features compared to a Windows/Apple keyboard. I may attach an external keyboard to see if the delete key works this way since the built-in keyboard does not have a delete key.

At this price level its bang for buck discussion. The display has a bluish hue and Im not sure if its adjustable. Its a little dark also. Ill see if its adjustable, but it doesnt appear so. Setup was a breeze, was surfing the internet within 3 minutes. Battery charge seems to be excellent. So, Bang for Buck, you cannot go wrong. My demerits are on display qualities, but for under 200 dollars delivered, I have lowered expectations. This replaces my MacBook air.

Three stars because of the speakers being on top and not at the bottom of the laptop. Also because I function around Google so its convenient to have a Chromebook. I didnt like that it doesnt have a right click function. Its an okay laptop, especially if youre just using it for simple stuff. I think Ill just spend a little more for more features.

My father and I got this for my mom to replace her little Asus chromebook. What a nightmare... First of all, its big, its pretty. But its slow. Her pages werent loading at all, and this is with sufficient internet. Everyone else in the house was blazing. She however, was not. I think this computer has a processing problem. Maybe the motherboard or the graphics card is crappy. But I dont know if this is a lemon, or a common problem. But Id return it if it wasnt already past its return date... Would not get again.

I bought this chromebook about 2 weeks ago, and so far, it is working really good. It doesnt come with a mouse, so if you want one, get it while you are getting this chromebook. My son bought this same kind of chromebook from a nearby store. Because of his chromebook, I wanted one too. Im glad I got it.
