I gather the folks that rehab these old CPUs always get different ones in, and as such, no 2 are really ever the same. the one I was sent is terrible. the disc drive makes awful, loud sounds and takes at least 45 seconds to load, many of the usb ports work intermittently so I have to switch ports often (example, Ill plug in a thumb drive and it wont register, so I remove it and plug it into a different USB port where it does register. or my printer will work in one port one day, but the next it says theres a failure, so I have to unplug it from current USB and switch to a different one...). ALSO, the windows 10 version is the "home" version - not what I was expecting, so I swapped it for the professional version. And finally the "free" keyboard they send you is the worst thing in the world - some cheap $2 keyboard made in china, whose keys either stick or dont work at all... I ended up buying my own (super affordable; you can get a good one for under $25). So in the end, this was NOT a worthwhile purchase & I fully accept responsibility for being too thrifty... you get what you pay for. This system might only be good for people that are infrequent computer users and just need it to surf the web lightly/stay e-connected.

My parents computer power supply died and they needed a replacement. Unfortunately the PSU was a special form factor (thank you Dell) and it was going to cost $250 plus labor. So I sent them this off-lease refurb and my technologically competent sister-in-law to install it for them. I live in Seattle and they live in Los Angeles. I had the unit delivered to their address and she pulled out the hard drive from the old dead machine and dropped it into an external case (very easy). She then installed the new machine complete with the new Windows 10 license from the instructions supplied. It all went off without a hitch. I know that these computers cost the refurb company about $25 each but they clean them inside and out, Install a new hard drive (2TB), install a fresh OS, package them and carry a warranty on them and then finally they include the shipping in the final price. I think $200 is a very decent price considering that what my parents received looked like a brand new computer. Is this the latest tech? Not even close, but its a commercial grade Lenovo and its going to be everything they need and it will run every application they use. Theyre very happy and so am I. Oh, and the old hard drive? An external case cost me $20 also on Amazon and I had her install the old drive in the external case. Once my sister in law plugged in the old hard drive into the new computer she was able to easily copy all their old data onto their new computer. Once she finished I walked her through how to reformat it and use it as a weekly backup to their new computer. Is it USB2.0 and therefore a bit slow? Sure, but its scheduled for Friday night so they will never notice. If it ever became an issue a USB3.0 short card is inexpensive and easily installed. This a much cheaper solution than paying $125 to get the Geek Squad to do it.

Completely satisfied with this purchase. After reading some comments, i didnt know whether or not it came with a mouse and keyboard. To my surprise, it did! Also came with a Wireless USB adapter. And a few reviews had said it was a 1tb HDD, mine is 2! So far so good.

Ill try to keep this as brief as possible and informative - first, the reason I bought this system was my son (8 yr old) wants to be a "Youtuber" - the various laptops and CPUs I had in my house were pretty antiquated, so certainly they didnt have the ability to play more recent games, but also didnt have the ability to record while playing and then edit videos effectively. With that having been said, I didnt want to go out and spend over $1,000 dollars on a "Gaming system" just to have my son give up abruptly when he finds that he isnt just going to get 1 million subscribers because he posts one video - that its actually going to take work - so I figured this system was like buying my son a used bike at a garage sale, and once he gets good on that, buying him a "new bike" ... if that makes sense. PROS: Obviously the price/value - I sort of actually enjoy shopping around online and finding the best value - after spending hours pricing out systems, looking for holiday deals, etc. - I kept coming back to this one - I was hesitant because it kind of feels like it had "mixed reviews" but at the end of the day, I had to take the chance, because to get about the same specs as this was at least double the price. Also a big pro that I like is when Ive bought new systems in the past, they are preloaded with a ton of junk that you have to clear out of the startup (hp/dell all seem to have their programs they want to sell you or "help you" that just bog down the system) - this has none of that crap, you turn it on, it loads up, and boom, youre done. I loved it. CONS: This is essentially a "light gaming" system - if my son were into Call of Duty or Fortnite, this wouldnt get the job done - luckily hes into more indie games - with that having been said, I did have to upgrade the video card and keep in mind this is a slim line case, so you are limited a bit with what you can upgrade to - has to be a low profile video card. Honestly, that was the only con - heres what I bought with the system (because I like when other people put that in their reviews so I can cut down on my research time): Acer HA220Q bi 21.5" IPS Full HD Monitor Ultra-Thin Design (best value for an HD monitor I found) PNY NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 2GB DDR3 VGA/DVI/HDMI Low Profile PCI-Express Video Card - this isnt going to be a hardcore video card, but certainly an upgrade from integrated graphics, itll allow us to play many more games and use better video/editing software. The install was easy, the system recognized it and deactivated the integrated card automatically and downloaded the recent drivers, so again, it was essentially plug-and-play. ***Update*** this Graphics card was ok, I ended up having to swap it out for a more powerful GPU: Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 Ti OC Low Profile 4GB GDDR5 128 Bit PCI-E Graphic Card (GV-N105TOC-4GL) - works much better for playing games and recording at the same time, hardly any lag unless we are doing a hardcore battle simulator - much smoother video/audio recording. Just thought I would share. Im glad I took the chance and saved myself about $300 dollars, I think my son is going to be super pumped on Christmas morning (plus I can start playing World of Warcraft again, my 10 year ago, nerdy self is excited, haha)

Solid as a rock and quite a screamer, maybe not a heavy gamer but performance is excellent. Very pleased, you cant go wrong at a price like this. Thank you

This computer arrived one day early. Except for minor scratches, the outside case was in good condition. The inside of the computer was very clean and looked like a new computer. Overall the computer acts just like a new computer and I am very happy with it.

This PC was supposed to be certified, I used it long enough for an initial set-up. The next day i tried to use it, it wouldnt pass the lock screen. Amazon customer care was great, but there was no at home fixing this. Word of advise, If you are buying a refurbished item, keep the box for a while...just in case

if youre on a budget this is the computer for you. with a pretty good CPU and ample disk space, if you onluy have $200 (more or less) to spend it is good. HOWEVER. WARNING: as ive been reading myself, every one of these are different and some are better than others. mine was nearly perfect. the disk is a bit loud when reading but not obnoxiously so. That all said, this pc leaves little room for improvement in its current layout. you can only fit slim GPUs in this (which by the way it doesnt ship with a graphics card). and even then nothing high end as the power supply is a measly 240w. if youre on a budget its a great value. just be prepared to change out virtually every thing as time goes on if you plan on upgrading. I would recommend a new case and power supply first. other wise, it works fine.

Good computer for the price. Slapped a 2gb video card in, and can run solid PC gaming. Definitely not a "gamer" PC, but for the casual player that isnt concerned about max fps, this is great.

Very happy with this refurbished product the unit looks new and so far has worked flawlessly. It has built-in speakers. It was very easy to upgrade to Windows 10. It does not have an SD card slot. The included dongle for wireless would not work with it as it was apparently only for Windows 7. It is very quiet much quieter than any computer that I can recall having. Hopefully it will remain trouble free for a few years. The included keyboard and mouse seemed okay but I just used my old keyboard and mouse I was considering putting my solid state drive from my old computer into it before I got it but this one boots up pretty quick it boots up in under a minute it has 8 gigabytes of RAM and 2 Tb of memory
