Blue screens, poor customer support from Skytech, and you may not get the components advertised! I really wanted to give this PC a 5 star review because despite the issues I have had so far, it is a nice computer for the money. However Skytech has forced my unfiltered opinion out after the lack of customer support. First issue I have is the fact that I did not get Skill Ripjaws as advertised I got less expensive and lower rated Geil EVO Potenza ram when I contacted Skytech they stated "I think we are currently out of the GSkil Ripjaws that why we need to use the RAMs from another brand" The next issue I had was shortly after getting this pc I started experiencing random crashes as other reviewers have experienced and I contacted Skytech for help trouble shooting the reason. At first Skytech was fast to respond but could not locate my order after a second then third e-mail I was told a member of their tech support team would call me that was over a month ago. I contacted them one last time asking them for help fixing this issue and received no reply because of this I cant give this a positive review. If you are willing to gamble on the possibility of not getting the advertised components and are tech savvy enough to fix issues without any support from the manufacturer than this may be the computer for you.

The pc is very powerful, and it is also upgradable. However, when purchasing this pc, remember to buy your own pci wifi card. The usb wifi adapter that came with the desktop is extremely slow, so I bought a wifi card and installed it myself. Without either the usb wifi adapter or the wifi card, you wont be able to connect to the internet wirelessly. The usb wifi adapter that I got was the TL-WN725N by TP-Link, and the max download speed peaked at a mere 1 mb/s. After I installed the wifi card, I got download speeds up to 20 mb/s. The included graphics card, the GTX 1080 played all the games I threw at it at decent frame rates in ultra settings. I played on a 1440p 144hz g-sync enabled monitor, and when I tried to run the newest triple a titles at ultra settings at that resolution, my fps did go down to 40 fps on some grassy areas. However, most of the time, even though I was running games at ultra settings 1440p, my frames were almost always above 100. Overall, this is an amazing pre-built pc. Just remember to get a PCI wifi card.

It arrived very carefully packaged and I didnt really have to reseat any of the parts. Runs the games I wanted smoothly and havent had any real issues yet. Looks like it would be fairly easy to customize and upgrade if needed. I plan on giving it some long playing sessions with The Witcher 3 on high specs next vacation I get. Ill update the review if it bogs out at all. So far I am very happy with this computer though. **** Hate to do this, but I gotta change this review. Initially I was very impressed. It ran quiet and smooth. Ive barely used it and get constant blue screens now when its just idling or doing basic things. BSODS INCLUDE: Memory Managment, Driver-irql-not-less-or-equal, KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED, etc. The crashes are all over the place. I dunno if its the bios, bad memory sticks, the network drivers, or WIN10 and its updates. A couple of the USB ports also seem dip out randomly disconnecting my wireless mouse and wireless adapter. Ive tested RAM, updated/rolled back drivers, uninstalled software, disable services and checked for file system errors.... I really didnt want to have to contact support, but my tweaking can only go so far. I have an IT degree and I have become lazy when it comes to building computers so I decided to give a prebuilt a try. Wont do it again.

Just got the system and have to say it blows away expectations. The cost to build the same machine would be well beyond what I spent on this. The design is cool, its easy to use. Every game I play including OverWatch, World of Warcraft, Elder Scrolls and more are set to the highest graphics settings with zero lag. Its so amazing to see how clear everything is finally. I had considered buying the more heavily advertised gaming systems but after reading reviews for this, tried it and am 110% happy. Even the keyboard and mouse are amazing. I was not expecting that at all. I would not have purchased those prior to getting this had I known how good they were. I would encourage anyone wanting an affordable desktop gaming system to give this company a chance. I will most certainly buy again from them. Feel free to ask me any questions about the machine and I will respond as I do use Amazon quite a bit and will see your question. The image is with my other keyboard but wanted to show the contrast of colors in the dark.

So i have had this computer for about 2 weeks now and all i can say about it is positive things. First lets start with how it looks, to me it looks amazing inside and out it has a clear through panel so you could see the beauty inside. So far every game i throw at it can run it perfect on ultra-high settings including Fortnite Destiny 2 The Division Fallout 4 and many more. it has not given me any problems what so ever. I do believe this is the best prebuilt gaming pc in the market right now. I really recommend this pc to anyone who is looking into getting into pc gaming.

Poor performance Out of the box. This thing has yet to run longer than 10 minutes. Ive only had this running for about an hour and already had 7 blue screens. (Im writing this review from my work computer). At this point I just want to send it back. Edited. The Skytech suppot folks had me remove a stick of ram and it ran all night without issues. I reinstalled the ram this morning and its running great. Now I have the PC I was expecting. Awesome job guys.

While sales support was excellent, technical support was non-existent. Looking back, I should have just returned the product as soon as I had a problem with it. Instead, I called the tech support line. I left a voicemail (thats right, there tech support line is just some guys cell phone) describing, in great detail, the issue I was having. The reply came the next day via text message. He simply asked "are you still having issues?", to which I replied, "yes". I didnt hear back from him again until the next day (now two days after I submitted the support ticket), where he sent me another text asking me to describe the issue. It was a lot of information to convey in the form of text message, so I politely asked him to call me. I never heard from him again. At this point, I took it upon myself to fix the issue. I was getting BSODs, on average, every three to five hours. Half of them gave no error code, while half of the ones that did give error codes were inconclusive. The quarter of the BSODs that actually gave me information all pointed to problems with the graphics card. I tried to make sure the graphics drivers were all installed correctly (which, as it turn out, they were all along), and then just dealt with my computer crashing every few hours for almost a year. I finally got around to replacing my graphics card (with an upgraded model, to make the best of a bad situation), and guess what? I was still having the same issue. The graphics card was never the issue, it was a broken PCIE slot on the motherboard causing the graphics card to malfunction. So I replaced the mother board and now the machine runs perfectly. However, not only did I have to buy a new motherboard, but doing so caused my windows activation to be void. Apparently, because of how the original operating system was installed by Skytech, Microsoft was unable to transfer my license to the new build. And on top of that, Skyteck provides no recovery media or driver resource discs. Basically, after buying a new mother board to fix the pc that was broken when I bought it, I also had to spend $100 on a new O.S.. More Info: My problem, and it seems like most other peoples problem as well, was actually the poor quality VRMs ASrock uses on their low end mother boards. These MBs are junk, and for about $30 more, SkyTech could have used an equivalent ASUS board. You can upgrade the board yourself for about $70, and then activate the new build with a $3 grey market windows key from Ebay. That would make this an acceptable build, but for the extra $75 and the trouble youre going to go through swapping out the MB, you might as well just build your own PC in the first place.

After careful online research and comparison of specs and pricing, I decided to go with the Skytech Shadow II. After using it for over a month now I can say that I’m very happy with my purchase. It has exactly what I need, it’s very fast and extremely quiet. The inside is easy to access for installing additional drives if you choose to. I installed an ssd drive to improve start up speed, the machine came with a 1 TB 7200 HD, lots of space but somewhat slow. There is only one open PCI slot which I used to install a wireless card. The computer comes with a USB wireless adapter, but it’s range and speed isn’t that great. Taking up the sole PCI slot with the wireless card was not an issue for me but just know you only have one open slot. The case is plastic, but seems durable enough and the USB ports are plentiful and well laid out. The computer does not come with a manual, nor does there appear to be one online. Not really an issue for most folks who know their way around the inside of a computer. The only real disappointment I had was that although it comes loaded with Windows 10 home edition, there is no license key included so if I ever need it or have to reinstall from scratch I may need to purchase one from Microsoft. Overall this is a great machine and I highly recommend it. No regrets on my choice!

Extremely well powered computer! It runs really fast, and set up was really easy to put together. I was extremely impressed with the packaging as well. It comes with a Keyboard, Mouse and mine came with a wireless wifi adapter. If needed, I recommend getting an HDMI cable with this CPU. Its a lot easier when connecting with a TV or new monitor. When I first starting downloading my games, It was EXTREMELY SMOOTH. I often felt like some Overwatch characters felt faster due to the high frame rate. Overall I’m extremely happy! I also heard from other reviewers that if there is a problem needed for your PC, contact SKYTECH and they would be able to help you in no time ^^

Rewriting review. If you want a solid mid tower pc then this is a good buy its a great computer and most games run just fine at the highest settings. The ambient noise is noticeable but hardly will matter when you wear headphones. The free mouse and keyboard is ok but i stick with mechanical. This is probably good for casual streaming idk myself but its capable. As long as the motherboard remains an mATX you can upgrade it i believe. Ive had a few concerns with the motherboard not supporting some stuff for ex: in the i/o but ive managed. Also the wireless adapter isnt the best so get ethernet as its much better than the latter. Overall a great computer good value for what it is imo and i enjoy it. Not the best detailed review but hopefully helps prob update later on.
