Poor technical support. Purchased a unit that will not boot up or send power to USB ports. OEM sent (3) automated emails, the last of which stated not their problem - contact Lenovo. From: Technical Support <support@oemgenuine.com> Sent: Monday, April 30, 2018 6:01 PM To: Kevin Conway <kconway@associatedplumbing.com> Subject: RE: Lenovo ThinkCentre M600 - Wont Boot Up Please note this email address handles Oemgenuine hardware warranty claims only. What is an Oemgenuine limited hardware warranty? The Oemgenuine warranty starts and ends at the same time as the manufacturers warranty. The two overlap in time for the purpose of acting as a supplemental limited warranty for any hardware components ONLY that may have been upgraded in your machine if mentioned in the listing. If you are not reporting a hardware failure ONLY for those specific upgraded components simply contact the manufacturer directly for technical or warranty inquiries as you would ordinarily to find out if you have coverage for your issue. If you purchased a Lenovo please review the following: Please remember to launch the thinkvantage utility by clicking start in Windows or in the control panel and double click on updates and drivers so Lenovo can scan your machine to determine if it any updates are necessary. Please remember do this on a monthly basis as it will resolve many potential issues that you might be having and it makes sure your machine is running all the latest updates. The hardware is great. The Genuine OEM drive image had Malware on it. I wiped the Win7 install and did a fresh Win10 install...so it was not an issue for me. Win10 is not installed, but it can be upgraded to Win10. However, it takes several hours to download Win10, install and update...so plan for at least a full day of software install before you can use the machine.

After 6 months unit began to beep and would not come on. OEM Online had me ship it to them to fix under the 3-year warranty. They returned it 2 weeks later fried and not beeping anymore with a note saying it seems to be a burnt motherboard. They will not respond to my emails or fix what they broke. They should replace the unit or motherboard they fried. I am now going to reach out to Lenovo and make them aware of this company.

This machine replaced an old M58 Lenovo SFF that was 10-years old. It performs quickly and quietly on startup, and all the programs load smoothly with very little delay. This was an excellent choice for keeping my desk clear. I have an HP w2207h monitor, and the computer fits nicely on the monitor stand, allowing the monitor to sit flat on the desk, and still maintaining a full range of adjustment. There were no glitches. It was literally a plug and play experience. It plays well with all the devices I connected to, either wireless or wired. I am connected to my home network via Wifi for the time being, and everything has run smoothly. I have no regrets with this purchase. My monitor has a VGA and HDMI connection, and I did have to purchase an HDMI to Display adapter.

Why is the customer unable to contact vendor about the warranty? in this case a 3yr warranty for a defective computer, which started to show problems after initial purchase return trial period. I cant get Lenovo to honor the supposedly 3yr warranty, now that the computer is having problems - poor accountability - RFF

The good - Tiny, fast solid state storage and plenty of memory. Windows 10 installed. Delivered quickly with Prime. Great computer if you know what youre buying. The Could do better - No manual, except a plug in sheet. The Did you Know FYI - No DVD drive so if you have software to install, youll have to buy an external drive - No SD card reader so if you need to read SDs youll have to by a USB thumb reader - No speaker port on the back so if you dont buy 100% usb speakers youll have to plug them into the front I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000ZH98LU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - Microsoft doesnt support automatic transfer of files between your old computer and the new one. If you want that, itll cost $20 to $100 for software and a cable. Even with external readers and new speakers and dont forget monitor cables, Im glad I bought this one. It is really a space saver.

I like that it is small. How ever I had a very hard time setting it up. The bluetooth would not come up. I had to format the drive 3 times before I got it to work. I spent several hours with Microsoft and with Lenovo and with their software support. Which is an other issue. This product comes with a 3 year warranty and software is not covered. They want you to pay extra for that. Now that it is up and running its doing ok. The video card is not the greatest either. It does not work well with my LG 34 in widescreen monitor. It does have the capability to go to the higher resolution which would be a great help.

So far this little machine has surpassed my expectations. I got the i7, 1TB SSD, 32GB RAM model. Machine is quick and has performed flawlessly. I got this computer as a home computer to save space on my desk. I only buy business class machines due to their better quality. Only gripe I have is the cooling is set to “better acoustic performance” in the BIOS by default and made the system thermal throttle a bit. Once I found the option for “better thermal performance” processor heavy tasks are handled better. That said, under a heavy load this little computer is loud. When the fan is at full blast it almost sounds like it will take off and fly around like something front the movie “Batteries Not Included”. I have and will continue to recommend this seller and computer to others.

First, great machines. Ive bought about 30 of these. Second, the recent ones, with 1 hdmi and 2 displayports have some sort of problem with the hdmi port. If monitors are hooked up to the DP first (or at the same time) the hdmi will not work. You have to use the hdmi by itself first, then dp secondly. This only applies to the first time you use the hdmi port. After that, you can hookup whatever you want in any order. Its like the hdmi port needs to be activated. Very strange.

Replaced five office workstations with these devices. Very small footprint, refreshing change from the conventional tower set up. Two DisplayPort plugins for up to two 2 monitors (youll need a DisplayPort to HDMI or DVI cable to use this with most most existing monitors). It comes with Windows 7 Pro installed. If you immediately upgrade to Windows 10 Pro as I did, be sure to go online and download the Windows 10 drivers in advance. Especially the ethernet port card adapter - and install this adapter before the upgrade, otherwise - in my experience, the ethernet card may not be recognized by Windows 10 and it will stop working until you install the new driver. Overall, very pleased with these ThinkCentres as configured here with the enhanced RAM and SSD drives. The SSD drives provide for quick performance and a fast reboot.
