I always install Webroot Anywhere Business class on the computer before connecting it to the web and then once it is configured I uninstall whatever AV the seller preinstalls--in this case, as with most, McAfee. The uninstall failed in a unique way but I didnt give it enough attention. I call it "Weaponized" because it seemed to be dedicated to making Google Chrome useless in that it caused it to operate at an excruciatingly slow pace. We would take it an average of three minutes to load up and answer is simple Google search whereas Firefox would do it in four seconds. To remove it was, to say the least, a real ordeal and nearly cost me a very important customer.

Summary: Overall a decent entry level computer Pros: Typical Dell setup, Windows 10 configured easily. Cons: 1) SLOW, the 1TB standard HDD (non-SSD) was very slow; task manager showed the HDD constantly at 100%; the fix is to install a 256GB SSD HDD, 2) to add another HDD, you will need to purchase a power cable, and 3) all the pre-installed software (games and trial-ware). 4) Was not able to register with Dell because the 3rd party seller was not able to provide the previous registered owners information.

Was hoping it would be a little more zippy. I put a 250 GB SSD using EaseUS and made the harddrive it came with as a D drive. That made it perk right up.

This is not being used for gaming. However, all of its features are perfect for our business with the memory we need and its speed. We enlisted outside tech support to install and noise never crossed our mind because we dont hear a thing.

Dell’s flagship desktop computer runs circles around my old HP. Came complete with new keyboard and mouse and was easy to set up. I’m not a gamer and I haven’t needed to call tech support but Dell has a strong presence and a lot of on-line resources. Chances are you won’t ever need to call for support.
