This is one of the best computer purchases that I have made in many years. The NUC replaced a noisy, high heat-generating and large older computer. In fact, it was rather surprising how much quieter and cooler the computer room was after installing the NUC. It was very easy to install the 8GB of RAM and the SSD, even though I am not a terribly experienced computer person. The NUC is much faster, even in comparison to the older computer which was itself a fast unit. It is interesting to observe peoples reactions when they hear that this small unit easily outperforms the previous computer. In sum, I am very pleased with the NUC and certainly recommend it.

Purchased the NUC 7i3BNH in Oct 2017 and it stopped working Sept 2018. While the unit was operating it simply died. No amber stand-by light on the power button, no sign of life. I tried a power adapter from another NUC (5th gen) that I know is good and no difference. I have opened a service request with Intel and well see what happens. Completed all the troubleshooting steps they requested but there is simply no indication of power getting to the unit, but it must be internal. Never had any problems with heat. While it did work it was a fine computer. Did everything I needed it too. The 5th gen (5i3bnh I believe) i bought back in 2015 is still working fine. Edit (9/23/18) Intel is replacing the unit, should arrive tomorrow. Excellent customer support if you ever do have problems.

I use these for desktop workstations and they are a great option for a small cheap and easy build. They can be mounted on monitors or neatly tucked away for a clean desktop. My only gripe about these? Well, the sound port is on the front. Not a deal breaker, just makes it ugly when speakers are plugged in.

This is the second one I have purchased. Both performed flawlessly. Pros: It is constructed well and exudes quality inside and out. It is easy to install memory and in my case a solid state drive. It hangs on the back of my monitor, out of the way. It is quiet. I can only hear the internal fan when I press the case against my ear. The Intel support documents on the web are well written and concise. It was easy to download and install the complete driver software package. I installed a $45 e-bay purchase of Windows 10 Pro. Works perfectly. Cons: None really.

Loaded Ubuntu 18.04 and its an all in one box for me replacing a 7 year old Dell laptop that gave up the ghost. Use it for a Plex server, torrents, file shares, Unifi Controller, and mini server for testing. Been working great but remember to update your drivers and BIOS otherwise you will get mysterious lockups in Ubuntu.

Pros - Modern Bluetooth, microphone, plenty of USB ports, easy to assemble, wireless, takes a lot of RAM if needed. Cons- Updating BIOS through windows didnt work. Had to go to the command prompt to update.

The speed of this 7th gen intel i3 is more than enough to run my HTPC plus more. No problems, excellent build quality. Sidenote: If you use an xbox ir remote you will have to wait for a BIOS update in order to be able to power it on with the remote. Everything else will work correctly.

Built it for my mom to replace a 10+ year old PC. Massive improvement... largely due to SSD and more RAM, but she like that it is quiet and out of sight mounted on the back of her monitor.

So far so good. Installed Linux Mint and said goodbye to Windows for a media center. Setting up the hardware was crazy simple. Adding an SSD took 2 minutes. Wouldve been about 30 seconds if they made it screwless.

The intel NUC i-3 worked for about nine months and died a quiet death. The unit seems rather tackily put together. Id like to request a refund and/or replacement. Hopefully the replacement will last longer. Amazon Customer Service: please contact me to discuss a replacement unit. Thank you.
