I replaced my 5 year old Dell XPS 27 AIO with the wide screen Envy and I like this computer but the Alexa implementation is awful. I had hoped that Alexa built into the computer would be an upgrade from my Dot, but after three weeks I have plugged the Dot back in an turned Alexa on the Envy off. It just simply didnt work. If I was shopping for a computer again I would buy this computer again. I like the wide screen and the pop up camera. It was easy to set up and has integrated well to my home network. The mouse was a disappointment and has already been replaced but generally this is a very nice machine, just leave out the Alexa until improvements are made.

HP ENVY 34 CURVED looks so gorgeous, screen size very nice, performance of the system super fast, love the curved display, love how the camera floats out and love the sound bar. This PC in my book the top of the line power in computers.

I waited a few weeks to write this review because on the day I received this HP all-in-one computer system I wanted to open my office window and scream how great this system is to anyone passing by. Well, I had some time to put the Envy through some tests and I feel even better about this system. The monitor produces a crisp and vivid picture and you will certainly not find the sound system lacking but what soled me was the processing speed. I have been in the art field as a graphic designer for awhile now and on occasion I would have to run complex image rendering programs that would slow down my old system to a crawl. The Envy was able to handle any art program or 4K video editing projects with fantastic results. Although I cannot attest to this personally, my son would like to assure you that this system “kicks butt” when it comes to playing video games on Steam. This is a great system on so many levels and I am very happy to recommend it.

Im not much of a tech person or gamer, but I love this computer. I use it mostly for surfing the web, watching videos, and for writing. The curved screen is perfect for watching videos or movies and is a really nice touch. The screen is so wide that when Im writing I can look at four pages of the manuscript at once. The computer starts up quickly. It can also charge certain cell phones (not mine which is a Pixel and doesnt have wireless format). The speakers are decent. The overall look is very nice. Kinda pricey, but I think its a good buy and Im well pleased.

This review is on the all-in-one computer and monitor. I will not delve into Windows 10 and its issues and bloat. The huge draw for this machine is the gorgeous 34-inch curved screen. It is truly a fantastic Monitor. Colors are bright and clear and text is sharp. At the base of the Monitor is the case that holds the guts of the computer. It has a generally small footprint but it encompasses some really good features. The system boots quickly thanks to the primary 256 GB SSD drive. Additional storage is provided by a 1 TB hard drive. HP has provided on-Monitor set up walk-through that is highly effective. Time from first boot to ready for use is less than 20 minutes. The wireless keyboard is well-designed with great tactile feel. The wireless mouse is okay, but not great. Features that I like include: ++ Five USB 3.0 ports in the base ++ A Thunderbolt 3 port also in the base ++ A multi-card reader for most cards except CF. ++ Both HDMI-In as well as HDMI-Out ports ++ An HDMI button that allows switching between external HDMI source and PC output. ++ A 1/8th headphone/microphone combo jack ++ A security cable slot ++ An RJ-45 (Network) jack ++ The sound from the Bang & Olufsen speakers is excellent ++ A Touch volume control is flush on top of the base ++ A wireless charging capability on the top of the base for android phones. A few things that I am not excited about: -- the wireless charging for phones is not compatible with iPhones -- there is virtually no printed manual, instructions, or other documentation except for a quick start guide. -- the Alexa capability is it not fully up to speed yet. It needs some improvement. -- the power cord includes a very large brick in the line rather than just a straight cord from base to PowerOutlet. Overall, Hewlett-Packard has designed an exceptionally nice all-in-one Computer with a fabulous curved screen and superb sound output. I feel that the price/value ratio is exactly right. Watching videos or editing them on the screen is fantastic. There are some niggles that need to be overcome, but overall this is a strong four-star recommendation. To be fair, I am primarily a Mac user but need the use of a number of windows-based programs. It would be unfair for me to comment on my opinion of Windows 10, but for what I need a Windows computer for, this computer is fantastic, and I am happy to honestly give it a solid recommendation.
