I bought this computer after using a XPS 8700 for 5 years. I am happy with this computer. My only complaint is that the accommodations for other hard drive are just a little bit cramped. I added 2 hard drives and had a little difficulty installing them. Also at the end of the installation, the power and data cords for the extra hard drives had to bend sharply at the connection to fit within the chassis. I would have preferred the bigger XPS 8700 chassis, as I dont believe reducing the size of a desktop is so important. Having said all that, however, the computer has performed very well running three monitors. I am happy with the purchase.

I have this computer for only about a week and am having problems which I did not have with HP or Sony computers. Firstly the one drive is a pain in the neck, why every item is save in three separate places including "one drive" and then notifies it is full and get more space and start paying, why? Now my CD Drive is not detectable and all my efforts to get it as indicated by Cortana and others, still I do not see it. I do not find IDE ATAP/ATAPI in my computer, how can I solve this problem. I am at a loss to fix the problem, can I return the computer? Thanks,
Squeaker

This Dell XPS is incredible! Old machine was 7 years old and had outlived technology. This machine has ALL the features I needed and more including USB 3.0 connections and a 2Tb HDD. Win10 booted up and installed without issue but I am running LINUX as the primary system on this machine. It is Very Fast and has No Issues with Linux whatsoever. Hope this machine lasts as long as the last Dell I owned. Nice to not have to worry about failure of an older machine any time soon.

This computer worked very well. I had a virus take out the undersized power supply and the motherboard. I had the computer for just over a year when this happened. The motherboards are about $180.00 just for the part. It seams Dell puts the bios on the motherboard and it fried the bios. I am very disappointed with this computer but I will never open an unknown email again.

its very quiet...I like that! I make videos using Magix pro 14 and the rendering process requires to use the turbo on my Dell computer and its loud but this one its very quiet, I havent heard the turbo at all :) dont even tickle it! The only thing I dont like is the vintage style dvd tray...I try not to bend the dvds when taking them off the tray...still do though. Another thing I saw on you tube videos is the way the back opens to clean the inside: creepy! I have never seen that style before! I will have to do that once in a while to dust it off, hopefully I will be able to close it back... Another thing I HATE is the lock screen when turning the computer on! I googled it and didnt read much but it said its a Windows 10 thing and you cant eliminate the feature...grrrrrrrrrrr ...I have no kids or other people touching my computers so I dont need the lock screen...you need to log in with your email address each time you turn on the computer...ANNOYING TO SAY THE LEAST what if I forget the password? I am even considering to install windows 7 on it , just to get rid of the stupid lock. Another annoying feature is the sleep mode: I only use sleep mode if I am going to use the computer everyday, otherwise I turn it off, well with windows 10 I just discovered that it resets to default time each time I turn off the computer....ggrrrrrrrrrr...I need the freaking computer to stay on for at least 6 hours while rendering a video and then another 6 hours to burn the DVD!!!!! so I have to change the sleep mode each time I turn the computer back on! the most idiotic setting I got with Windows 10 !! so just to be sure the computer doesnt go to sleep on its own I keep the monitor on while using the computer!!
