This review is for JSM Computers....and not necessarily the computer itself. The computer arrived on time, and was exactly as described. My particular issue was that it was damaged during shipping by U.P.S. It was late on a Friday afternoon, when I sat down to unpackage the item. As I removed the new keyboard and mouse from its box, I noticed that the keyboard was completely destroyed. So, I picked up the phone, and called the number given on the info in the package and was given the opportunity to leave a voicemail. Within a minute or two, someone called back saying how sorry they were for the inconvenience. He said he knew it was closing time on Friday afternoon, and just wanted to make sure that I got a reply before they all left for the weekend. He assured me he would make the arrangements to have another keyboard shipped to me. This was fine, as I had an extra keyboard I could use in the meantime. So, I hung up, and continued with the setup process. Now, I dont make any claims to be a whiz at computer operation, so needless to say, the rest of the process took a minute or two. Later that evening I discovered, that the dvd drive wouldnt open. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that the exterior casing of the computer was bent inward preventing the drive from opening. So, with a paperclip, I managed to get it open, bend it enough for it to operate, and insert and remove discs....however....the drive didnt work. I sent another email to JSM describing my dilemma. I spent the rest of the weekend enjoying my new high performance computer that was far better, than my last one. On Monday morning, when I got to my computer, I already had an email from them, expressing how they intended to make all of this right. Ill skip the specific details and simply express how happy I was with the level of service I received from them. I am completely satisfied, and I would purchase from them again without hesitation.

This probably wont satisfy a serious gamer, but a midrange gamer, I think so. But Im not into that so cant really say. Its been a while since I had my head under the hood of a PC. I used to build them, lived for the day my Computer Shopper arrived at my mailbox, and was a network consultant in town. Many moons have passed, and now for the past few years Ive been using a Dell all-in-one at work. 8 gigs ram, integrated video with dual monitors and dual core processor. Really a sloth considering that i run Photoshop, Corel, plus a bunch of web, and Office apps and multi-task. A Lot. So this computer is a very, very significant upgrade. Ive been very pleased. I bought an I5 a couple months ago for the house, stuck a decent video card in it and thought, this blows my office machine away. So when I got this one, I realized, hey, it blows my new home unit away. It performs to advertised specs and it arrived in excellent condition. On arrival, I opened the case to take a peek at the available PCI slots, memory, drives, etc. The machine looked as though someone went through it, tidied up the cables, blew out the dust and carefully packaged it. Quality components too, so overall they pretty much did what they said they would. Of course, the keyboard and mouse are garbage, and I gave them to our IT guys. I have this Azio mechanical keyboard Im partial to, and an Arc mouse. But Im a dinosaur who would still use a Logitech Mouseman 3 button mouse if I could. Sheesh, Im old! Anyway the shipping 2TB drive is just fine, but I stuck a SDD in there as a boot/OS drive and use the big one for data. Also, I put a 4 gig video card in it to drive two 27" monitors. I run Photoshop several times a day, and usually with Corel, Word, Powerpoint and a few other smaller apps running (plus email and multiple Chrome tabs). No issues, no bogging. Crisp performance. I am amazed at how quickly Photoshop applies blurs, shades and other process/video intensive tasks. So, for $320 this is really hard to beat.

Complete garbage. Ad shows the mini tower, product is actually the uselessly small desktop form factor. HDD is more dead than alive, visible thermal damage on the board.

The box arrive with a USB device for Wifi Broken and useless, I need it to be replaced. It was supposed the pc had a wifi system built in. In this conditions I cannot use my computer. There was no DVD unit. This item doesnt match the specifications.

Mine did not arrive with a CD/DVD room. It also did not have WiFi built in but came with a USB device to be able to work on WiFi. I had higher expectations for this.

It described as Dell Optiplex 990 Desktop Computer, but I received Dell Optiplex 790 Desktop computer, and with less than one hour since I first turned it on, it went dead while I was adjusting my monitor color. Try to turn on again, but there wasnt any luck. I am going to return this back. It is $325, but it useless.

Everything seems to be working well. The Hard Drive is extremely loud, but since Im adding an SSD and only using it for storage purposes that will be ok. Be aware that the integrated graphics do not support opengl 3.3 or above so you may have to add a graphics card for some modern software but since I did it does let me have two monitors going. Seems speedy especially with the added SSD and graphic card. Might consider overclocking at some point. No DVD/CD drive but thats fine with me. Im also going to try adding usb 3.1 card to the machine to get speedier transfer rates. In other words you might can spend a little more on a base machine with the things I had to add included and get off cheaper than I ended up!

This is the second refurbished Dell that has suffered a SSD failure in less than 6-months. Seller offered a 30-day warranty but nothing after that. DO NOT PURCHASE refurbished anything. Spend the money and purchase something with a decent warranty and a greater likelihood of actually working for more than a few months!

A few days after purchasing the PC the network adapter stopped being recognized by the usb. After tiresome troubleshooting and no helpful support, I just broke down and purchased a better network adapter faster this worked for a little while. The usb would kick the adapter off and seem to reset itself when troubleshooting the network. Tried resetting network. Reinstalled the drivers and the adapter just stopped showing up under the peripherals. I tried to get help early on when the problems started but nothing they suggested worked so I just used my Mac. Now I’m stuck with a PC that has issues with peripherals. I am not a fan. Would not ever recommend.

Perfect home computer. Fast and does all I need. Mouse and keyboard are cereal box quality but not a “thing” for me - replaced with wireless after computer set up. You will need to get those as extras. Also, USB Bluetooth device available for $12 or so here on Amazon. Overall, that package is a bargain, esp with a warranty purchase.
