Install Flash Player One of the fastest, smoothest machines I have ever owned but it was so loud that I could not tolerate it. Afraid to try another one. I guess if they have to advertise how quiet it is, then you should beware.

I knew this item was priced substantially above other comparably featured gaming PCs, but I couldnt resist its great looks and compact footprint and ordered one anyway. Unfortunately, I couldnt get it to power up, even once. Having unsuccessfully tried the two troubleshooting steps suggested in the user manual, I called Corsair support and was told there was nothing more they could suggest to get it going. The fellow I talked to seemed oddly unconcerned that I had just spent nearly $4K with his company for a totally useless item, not offering a single reason why I should consider my experience a fluke and order a replacement. Silly me, I did anyway, still smitten by the items looks. The replacement item was every bit as DOA as the first one. At this point, I decided to go to Google to see if anyone had discovered any remedies that Corsair support had missed. I didnt find any, but I did find plenty of folks whod had the exact same experience Id had, plus many others whod gotten it to power up at first only to have it stop working later. That was enough, even for me, and Ill be looking elsewhere. Before you buy this, please do a little more research than I did. Then decide if the gambles worth it to you.

Was excited to unbox the Corsair One, but all my excitement quickly turned to disappointment when the PC would not even power on. I called Corsair support and they walked me through a troubleshooting step in which they had me press a reset button on the back of the tower for 25 seconds before plugging the power cable back in. That still did not do the trick, and not even a single light or sound could be seen or heard coming from the computer. Very disappointing. I then called Amazon to start the refund process. This whole situation is really unfortunate because I was on a time crunch (deadline) and needed this computer days ago. I originally thought I was going to receive it on Saturday, but Amazon pushed back the delivery date to Tuesday. Now, both Amazon and Corsair have this computer on back-order, so Im unsure how Ill meet my original deadline now. If only the computer had arrived here safe and sound the first time, I wouldnt be having to go through the inconvenience of returning a "dead on arrival" PC now. Extremely disappointed customer.

Dont buy this product. Ive had this computer for about a year. It consistently doesnt turn on, there are horrible video/audio artifacts, and desyncs between audio and visuals. Consulting with Corsair, I was instructed to clear the CMOs, which I currently have to do on a regular basis, and hope that the computer turns on. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesnt. Today, it took me about an hour to get this thing to turn on just so that I can write this review. Dont waste your money.

I dont know how many stars i should give because machine is fantastic but it crashes at least once a day. I got this on oct 31st. after all the updates, i was so happy to get this thing to work. But first 10 minutes into watching youtube, my screen blacked out for about half second. I didnt pay too much attention at that time but i noticed it when it did it again while playing destiny 2. called up corsair support on 2nd of November and technician over the phone told me they need corsair back for repair (this was on 2nd of November). So i agree to it and he says i will get a box to ship it in within two to four business days. I just got an email (9th november) saying a service order has been created for system repair, and box will arrive in one to two business day. Customer service rep was very professional so i give props but so far, im not happy with how things are turning out. i will update soon. Forgot to mention screen black out stopped after couple of days days but I got dpc watchdog violation at least once a day instead followed by reboot. ---update--- 13Nov2017 I will be receiving box to return corsair one on 14th of november according to email. This is longer than what technician said on 2nd of november. ---update--- 14Nov2017 Yesterday (14th November) I finally received return box during lunch time. Ive dropped off unit at post office around 1200. Will update soon as I hear something. ---update--- 16Nov2017 Package received by corsair @ Texas Thursday, 11/16/2017 at 11:48 A.M. ---update--- 19Nov2017 received email from corsair one service center about them receiving my unit @ 11/19/2017 08:37 AM... i have feeling i wont be getting my unit back this week due to thanks giving. Again, my ticket was created 1st of November and today is 20th November. ---final update--- Finally received my unit back with drive wiped clean on 22nd november. I dont know why they had to wipe it when its GPU problem according to technician. In total, corsair took 22 days to get me fully functioning unit and am very happy with my corsair one. Bad part along the process was support personnel doesnt talk to each other and are very bad at keeling customer updated with status. I asked for status of my unit on 21st of November. Received reply next day (22nd) saying she will check up on it, 4 hours later she replied with tracking number and found out it was already shipped on 20th. There is clearly lack of communication within corsair one and with the customer. This process was more daunting then necessary with this units price tag. In short, I love the machine but customer service that comes with it need a lot more improvement. I will downgrade to 2 stars for not having my unit for more than half of the time since the day I received it and lack of communication.

Incredible Performance packed into a small lightweight footprint. May still need more ports for some believe it or not. Keeps on giving me driver problems though. Update: And barely over half a year in and its dead. Never this brand again.

Install Flash Player First unit had a high pitched squeal when playing intensive games like Assassins Creed Odyssey and the second unit gave cpu temperature warnings on boot. The first units video card was also not screwed in. It was so far out of the socket that the left most Displayport input could only be halfway seen. After seeing something like that I cant believe that these units are actually tested before they are shipped... but with that out of the way... When it works, it works beautifully. For a computer it is very light and quiet. It was so light I actually put it on one of my parents lap and they laughed at how light it was. It is so much smaller than other mid-towers and full towers that I have owned and is a fraction of the size. I was able to run the public build of star citizen at >75 fps without any problems at all. Not a single hiccup. The only caveats here are the limited m.2 SSD space that you get with this unit. You dont have a lot of room to put your Steam library on the SSD and the other m.2 SSD slot is buried inside the unit. For those that dont know an m.2 SSD can have read speeds of about 3,500 Megabytes per second.. well beyond what a regular hard drive will give you. You will only have enough room to move the few games that you are playing at the moment on the SSD, the system drive.. however the back of this thing has 2 USB 3.1 gen 2 slots. Each of which is capable of transferring data at 1,250 Megabytes per second (10 Megabits). Right now you can pick up external Samsung drives that transfer speed at USB 3.1 (not Gen 2) speeds of 5 Megabits.. so half that. So yeah external storage is an option but it kind of defeats the purpose of the small form factor device. Im trying to build up the courage to try ordering a third time because when it works its just *that good*. Its basically everything that you wanted when you are thinking of buying a computer.. I just wish that someone could explain how they can ship a computer with the video card not being mounted to the case.

Pro: - solid build quality - silent - very powerful PC - beautiful and sleek console design. Blends in nicely with my home theatre Con - very expensive - bundle software is a buggy mess. May need to do a fresh windows 10 install.

First Impression: How do I open the retail box (i.e. the "pretty" box inside the plain corsair box inside the amazon box)? The pictures on the plastic things on the side were not very helpful in telling me how to "unlock" (press in on the tabs, then pull them outward), and even then did not realize that I needed to pull those black plastic things out from the box itself to free up the box to open. Second impression: HEAVY and bigger than the picture led me to believe, but solid steel construction. Third Impression: tunk-tunk-tunk from the fan once I turned it on. I was able to "pull" at the top metal grate over the fan, and was able to get it to stop interfering with the fans operation. Ive had to do that a few times early on, especially after moving the PC, but so far I have not had to take it apart to fix it. It installed Windows 10 1709 right away (after asking if I wanted to update now), but this took a very long time (about 3-1/2 hours) and disk utilization was pegged around 100% during that time. I also tried my mouse via the built-in Bluetooth, and it did not respond well and alternated between laggy and not responding. Between these two things, I was worried something was seriously wrong with the machine. After the updates were applied, I tried my USB "universal" wireless adapter for my mouse, and the poor mouse response was fixed. I also saw little to no issues with installing or running any software or games, including a video benchmark app (for the one game that did run long on installing, Im going to blame on the installer). In the past week or so, Ive been running games flawlessly in 4k resolution and even at full load for hours at a time, Ive not heard the fan get noticeably louder (a sharp contrast to the gaming laptop this is replacing). Despite being pretty heavy (almost 25 pounds), the footprint size is very reasonable, and there is a nice selection of ports on the back. Heat from the machine does vent straight up, so I would not recommend putting it directly under your houses thermostat, but otherwise that should be fine and I never found it to get much more than "warm". After the initial rocky start and concerns, everything has been smooth sailing with this Corsair ONE, and Im very pleased with my purchase.

I finally caved and bought this PC for gaming. After 2 months Im still loving it. If youre worried about the smattering of the negative reviews (like I was), heres a reassuring quote from Dustin, who took over as manager of the Corsair One project after launch: "The chief problem weve had with Corsair One has been the PCI Express ribbon issue, and weve recalled those and are beginning to send out replacement systems. I havent seen any other issues really pop up that wouldnt happen with any other PC." That quote is from back in September of 2017. The units subject to recall were from lots 1725 to 1731. Any machine ordered today is unlikely to be affected by the ribbon cable issue. The only negative thing I have to say about the Corsair One is that its unlikely to have meaningful upgrade options. Heres one more quote from Dustin: "Make no mistake, from an engineering standpoint I do think its an absolutely fantastic product with an innovative cooling system able to balance performance and noise in a way nobody else really has in this form factor. "But I also recognize its shortcomings in terms of the upgradeability that was promised and not delivered upon to the depth that you and I would like, and Ive made efforts to correct our public messaging where possible to line it up with whats actually feasible with Corsair One. "Believe me, if we were to make a second generation Corsair One platform, upgradeability would be a huge priority." Maybe Corsair will offer a graphics card upgrade kit. Maybe not. My advice would be to pick a configuration youll be happy with for as long as you want to use this computer. Ill wrap up by repeating that I love my Corsair One. Ive been having a blast with this hooked up to a Vive. In terms of performance, style, and acoustics, the Corsair One is really amazing. ---- The quotes from Dustin are from the Corsair User Forums.
