Have been running this for a little more than a month - still running well. It is a good basic computer with excellent features and can be upgraded. I am not happy that the price has not dropped $50 since I bought mine but I guess it is even more a bargain now. Runs very quiet, partly because it does not have a case fan. I ran it all day most days for the first month just to put some miles on it to burn it it. So far so good. Looks good, small size fits well on desktop. Keyboard and mouse were not very good so I replaced them with a better set. Bought some small speakers to go with it so I could have sound. Boots fast, loads software fast, has a good wifi connection with my router two floors up. Got a used monitor to go with it. All in all, it seems to be a good unit and perfect for my wifes office type needs. Will update in about 6 months.

Very economical computer. I wanted to use it for gaming, but I had to make other upgrades to it. It really cant run origin games. It would crash trying to run some of them, other the quality was really low and it would lag. But, the good news is that theres plenty of room to add a large graphics card and extra RAM stick in the case. It has two extra spots for hard drives too, one of them being attached to the dvd optical drive though. Ive had it for a few weeks and Ive had no problems. Good computer choice for anyone

Would not stay connected to Internet. Operated for about a minute then disconnected from service. Worked about 6 hours reconnecting and trying different settings. Would not always reconnect and never for more than a minute.

The Acer Aspire TC-885-ACCFLi3O Desktop, 8th Gen Intel Core i3-8100, 8GB DDR4 was easy to setup. My 5 year old Dell I3646 was getting old and slow. The TC885 is fast. Startup to login - approx 9 seconds. Its fast on my software programs I use. It runs quiet and does the job. I dont think you would want this for heavy gaming unless you make some additions. For light games its great. For my needs this PC is perfect. I recommend the Acer TC-885.

Really happy with this machine. There are i3 7100 based machines that are more expensive and the i3 8100 is a huge upgrade as the 8th gen Intel CPUs jumped to four cores. It even outperforms four core i5 7400 based machines. Add in the 16GB of optane boost and you cant beat this machine in a pre-built. It is only a hair slower in booting and loading programs than my SSD equipped machine. I added a $25 4gb RAM stick for 12GB total and dual channel capability. Needs a dedicated GPU if you plan on gaming and the keyboard and mouse leave a lot to be desired but overall very happy with the purchase.

I bought this with the intention to install a discrete graphics card, however the stock PS had zero pci-e power cables. So, I ended up buying a new PS and installing it. At this point I discovered that the DVD drive uses some micro/mini 6 pin sata power cable that almost new power supplies have. So, I managed to get graphics card installed (after half hour of disassembling crazy case) only to find out I needed an adapter to connect the dvd drive. I called ACER and the person I reached had no idea what I was talking about, so I ended up blowing another 9 dollars to get an adapter. So basically I bought this PC to save money, but ended up spending more to get another PS and an adapter. Otherwise the PC works fine so far. The lack of case fans concerns me a little, but I have a graphics card that vents outside, and the new PS has a fan intake facing the MB.

I gave it a tough weekend work-out. As a bare bones simple business computer its fine, ACER keyboard is very cramped but it is definitely fast enough motherboard. The video card is very disappointing, I have old XP machines that do better with movies and rendering websites than this machine. I also have an ACER TC-780, which seems a much better performer in several respects, and competently trouble free - which is why I bought a back-up ACER. Im betting is will be a long-term solid, yet simple, work machine for docs and spreadsheets...but I dont expect much more.

I rated the computer for gaming right in the middle - I do not do games but write local history books. The value for the money seems almost reasonable, though the HDMI ports did not work properly on the TV that I use as a monitor, so had to purchase a VGA cable to make it work properly but that was a minor problem. As for tech support, I picked the middle again because I have not used the tech support - yet. I started off years back with a Commodore Business Machine (before the Vic-20 or C-64), so somewhat know myself around. I was looking for particular things and this one seemed to have much of what I was looking for until Microsoft ends support in about five years for Windows 10. When that ends, I might well switch to Ubuntu or something of that sort. This machine did update nicely and except for making the TV come out agreeably, the machine works just fine. I highly suggest getting a good UPS system!

Received it on Saturday. Box was factory sealed. On first power up and initialization, DID NOT DOWNLOAD ANYTHING. Firefox was already installed- that was odd. Opened Firefox for the first time and discovered phishing malware already present. Look guys, I know it was only $399 but I expect WAY better from Acer.

I wanted to give this a higher rating, except for one problem. It had a horrible DVD/cd slot. The slot is vertical instead of horizontal. This means that you have to feel around with the DVD to get it mounted correctly. Then you have to slide the door shut because it wont shut by itself. The door itself is poorly marked and you have to feel around to get it to open. To top it off the DVD/cd system feels very fragile like it wont take any stress. Ive only had the computer a day and I spent most of that loading pictures and this system made that time consuming. The computer is very fast and that is the only problem so far, but it has been enough.
