people look for a computer No1 is price, No2 is performance. 4K HD Graphics Windows 10 Micro Computer,4GB DDR3/32GB eMMC with 2.5-Inch HDD/SSD Bay,mSATA Port from the description above there really no need to said much about this mini pcs performance, any who know will know what they going to get. I been looking for small pc for work only, at first I was looking for a laptop with cheap price and good performance., then when I saw this Mini pc, it change my mind, and when I received and open the box, I know I was right, this is what I need, more than half cheaper than the laptop I saw, and with much better performance. my plan is could have this mini pc in my office, and when I need work in home, or travel to other place as long as I find a monitor it will work fine. I know it wont Convenience as a laptop, I cant use it any where I go, but I this only for work, and I dont work out side, and there always a monitor I could use, and plus I hate using other peoples computer or public computer, it just not as smooth as your own. it is great for people who dont need a laptop all the time, but when the time come, I could just unplug and put in a box, and carry to any where you want to go. easy clean and light weight. right now after been using this mini pc, it faster and quite than any other PC we have in office, so Im think maybe we need a whole office upgrade. with such great price, why not?

I always thought I’ve had more than enough computers for home use and when it comes to the demand for additional screens as a byproduct of more kids getting older. While the most comment solution out there is a touch screen device, most commonly, an iPad. But the worry is also obvious that kids can hardly control the distance between the eyes and screen. In addition, it is hard to control the content they’re watching and there is so much negative information on the Internet. With the already existing TVs at home, I just feel it is not cost effective to get new Pads. So I figured I just need a computer streaming to each TV sets via WIFI by a bunch of Chromecasts I have. The old computers I stored all turned out have some issues that I was in need of a new one but I don’t want to invest much either. As the first try, I tried some Raspberry Pis from work but it turns out not sufficient for video streaming purpose limited both by the hardware and the OS. I was aware of such mini PC device by some randomly videos on YouTube seems to be a good choice with the minimum amount of cost that I decided to give it a try. It comes much smaller and lighter then I expected, even lighter than an iPad I assume. My assumption was confirmed as it only weighs 370.41g (see one of the photos uploaded). The device is pretty much ready for use out of the box with the Win10 pre-installed. The only modification I did was 256GB SSD. Then I tried with Netflix and it runs pretty well and my goal is easily achieved that the kids can now watch the under my control. With an investment of less than 200 dollars, I could not be more satisfied. Another application I was looking for is with the combination of the USB3.0 port and a dual HD station for a simple NAS for photo and video storage to make it eventually a hub of a home media center. A transfer rate of ~500MB/s was achieved.

I needed a cheap PC to run some software for depth-sensing cameras (Intel RealSense). My requirements were 4GB of RAM, 64GB of disk (32GB is just too little), and USB 3. This was my cheapest option, and frankly Im very impressed. On a whim, I installed and played StarCraft II, and amazingly enough, it ran. Not *great*, but... 5fps or better, typically 10+fps, which, given how low-end this is, was a pleasant surprise. I wont be using this as a gaming system, but for less-demanding games, you could certainly use it as one, just be aware that itll be very limited. For web surfing, email, non-demanding apps, and so on, itll do the trick just fine. Adding an SSD is trivially easy (note: theres a sliding "switch" on the top of the back that you need to move over in order to remove the lid, which is different than the instructions in the manual to "slide the lid off" - you move the switch/lever, then you lift off the lid from that side). It also has mounting holes on the back. All in all, if you want an inexpensive PC that has the basics, this will do. You *probably* would be better off with 8GB or more, but those systems are 20% more expensive. For the price, this is a great little system.

This Mini PC is very tiny, it can save you a lot of room! I used to have a big computer, and a screen for 20 inch. The old computer used a lot of my table room, and if I want to do the paper work while using the computer, I had to get an extra table for the paper work. Right now, I can put the screen back until the table edge (far away from me) and stick this mini PC under the screen, save me a lot of room. And I can use the computer while doing the paperwork now without an extra table. This mini PC is faster than my old PC a lot, maybe my old PC is really old, (I bought 6 years ago), I have tried to watch youtube, facebook, and other movie from other websites are very smooth for this mini PC. I bought a 512gb SSD for this mini PC, it can run the PC more smoother, and transfer the files faster than normal harddisc.

Set this bad boy up and was beyond impressed! I dont know what I was expecting, but it sure wasnt nearly what I got! Beginning setup was an annoyance because Im not a fan of Cortana, but once she was muted, we were off and away. Video is gorgeous, seamless, clear, and crisp with absolutely no playback lag. Transcription and captioning is super easy to complete and with dual screen capability, this is going to quickly become my favorite work computer! Based on what Ive seen so far, I have zero concerns about the capabilities of keeping up with family life of work, school, and light gaming.

My favorite features are in the title of this review but dont get me wrong, there is plenty more to love here. Integrated bluetooth, micro SD card slot, easily expandable 2.5 storage and more! Thats why I chose this for my "project box". Ive currently got it multibooting W10 and Linux Mint. The experience thus far has been a breeze. I havent yet taken advantage of the expandable HDD slot but I plan to. For now, the integrated memory is fast and plentiful enough (see image). The aesthetic is wonderful. Matte black/gray with chrome accents and a multi-color status light. Its almost a shame that Ill be using the provided VESA bracket to mount it behind a monitor. The thing isnt going to run Overwatch but its capable of some light gaming (castle crashers, etc.). Do consider this little PC if youre at all toying with the idea of building one yourself. the Windows license alone is worth just buying from ACEPC. All in all, the energy efficient design and hardware specs will be a perfect candidate for running my IoT scripts and maybe a few small security cameras.

Its an older Celeron processor, so dont expect a gaming machine. However, its good enough for browsing the web, light coding, and letting the kids play with it without the fear of corrupting a more expensive machine. I ran some benchmark tests, and while not nearly as powerful as modern >$1000 computers, a Novabench score of 627 is still respectable. I also streamed Netflix as a test. I can detect a bit of a lag at times at maximum resolution, but not too bad. In the near future, I plan to add a 500GB hard drive with Linux on it. 4/11/19 update: added a 250GB Western Digital Blue SSD, and loaded Ubuntu. Made it into a dual boot system. Will update with my experience a bit later. Seems to be much faster than with Windows so far, as expected. 5/23/19 update: my daughter has been using this machine to learn typing and programming, generally a few times a week. Paired it with a soundbar via Bluetooth, and using it to watch online videos. It’s a bit laggy in Windows in 1080p resolution, but better on Ubuntu.

Its the first time for me to buy a mini PC because I will only use my laptop to do everything before. But recently I found that my laptop goes a little slowly when I doing some videos convert works while watching movies, I decide to separate my work and entertainment into two PC. Because the old one is use for my works, so I need another one to play movie or doing something else. I check few similar product and bought this one eventually, and I am glad it didnt disappointed me. First, the machine is small so I can install it on the back of the screen with the mount. 2nd, 4GB memory is enough to run smoothly, but I need to store some files so I add an extra HDD and it can runs well too. Ive tried to watch some 4K videos on YouTube and it can play normally so I believe the graphic card is ok too. In a word, this machine can meet all your needs in a PC if you are not a Digital Video Editor or someone who needs to do a lot of video editing works. For home use, its a very nice choice.

I have to say i am surprise by this mini PC. It is serving my 4K Media content over the Network. I am running plex server, and this little monster can trans-code 4K content just fine. It comes with Windows 10 loaded on the unit. It has 4GB RAM to keep up with the daily tasks, plus media streaming like Netflix, Youtube to name the few. You can also run Kodi on it if you want. ACEPC AK2 mini PC does what it is built to do. It hooks up to a TV with HDMI. Pros: - Intel Celeron J3455 - Quad Core (4 cores). - Ability to add 2TB Internal Hard drive storage. - 4GB RAM, 64GB Flash Storage. - Only uses 15 Watts or less when idle. - Can be use as NAS. - I/O Specifications: Designed with 2 x USB 2.0 ports,2 x USB 3.0 ports ,1 x Gigabit Ethernet port,1 x Micro SD Card port,2 x HDMI port support Dual Display. Cons: - Price can be cheap.

Well, I bet my review will be significantly different from other users because of the unique application I found with this mini PC. It was originally bought for the streaming of video to a projector I got earlier for my little daughter. Then I talked to a colleague who mentioned such a small device can be used for some scientific tasks with not very intensive data acquisition (DAQ). I think it is worth to try as it saves money and people in the academia all know about the current funding situation. One difficulty is indeed the 32GB eMMC disk space which was about totally consumed after one single Win 10 home update right after I turned on the machine. The disk space left is insufficient for the installation of the LabVIEW. So I reached out the tech support of the company to discuss the potential solutions. After some communications, the engineer suggested installing an SSD; cloning the eMMC system imaging to the SSD; then change the start-up sequence first with the SSD. I dug out an old 256GB SSD from a retired old laptop and proceeded following the suggestions. It works out pretty well that I was able to get all software including LabVIEW, NI-MAX, Dropbox, Acrobat Reader, and chrome etc. (I just noticed they now have a 64 GB version now, an SSD may not be necessary if going the newer version.) After setting up the machine, I was able to run my LabVIEW VIs immediately on the mini PC. I used it to control a heater controller driving 3 heating tapes up to 1500 W with multiple point temperature monitoring and feedback to maintain the process temperatures at a user-defined constant setting. The communication between the mini PC and the heater controller is established via a USB-to-RS485 converter. I attached a photo showing the setup in my lab and the VI running interface. The mini PC has been running stable for a little more than two weeks now. I am pretty satisfied with its performance. In addition, comparing to a typical PC workstation used in the lab easily costs 1-2k at least, its price is only about 10% Although it is probably still not powerful enough to run high-speed DAQ for the scientific tasks. I think it is more than enough for such slow control task with not quite demanding data rate. The advantages of cost-efficient and small size make me consider using it for the slow control for my future experiments. As a scientist, I would highly recommend it for moderate load DAQ tasks such as slow control or room temperature monitoring. Other normal home application such as video streaming should be trivial.
