I am 100% happier with this set of Neewer flash transmitters than I was with the cheaper Neewer transmitter set. I definitely got what I paid for last time. The fact that they come with two actually pretty good flashes just adds to the awesomeness of this set. As soon as I put batteries in these (2 AAA for the transmitter and each receiver, 4 AA for each flash) and set the channels they fired right up! I really wish I would have ordered these the first time and saved myself the hassle of pulling apart the cheaper transmitter just to get it to work only 2 feet from the receivers. The flashes are quite a bit bigger than the flash I use on my cameras hotshoe, but I got these to use on my stands anyway so it does not matter to me, but you can see, in the picture of the two in comparison, that if you are wanting to use this on your cameras hotshoe it may be more bulky that you would get with some other flashes. The adjustable light levels is great and the sync speed is surprisingly good. The power button is located on the side and kind of out of the way, so it is almost an out of sight, out of mind deal, but if you forget to turn it off they will eat through your batteries, even if they are not being used. The diffusers are a made of a pretty solid plastic and snap right onto the flash. I really like the color of the flash with my Nikon. This is a great set to have for anyone starting out or who have been the in the game for a while but do not want to drop over a thousand dollars for the expensive (albeit extremely nice) light set-up. If you are trying to decided between this set of transmitters and the less expensive set of Neewer (or other renamed brand) transmitters, BUY THESE! The flashes alone are worth the price in my opinion. Heres to hoping these continue to be as great as they have started out to be...

Even though Im currently limited to manual use of this kit, it has earned a full five stars from me. Simply put, the quality/price ratio is phenomenal! When the shipping package was opened, I discovered that the kit consisted of several separately boxed components. True to form, Amazon did an excellent job with the prep for shipping. Everything was neatly organized and in some cases overpacked before placement in the master package. The kit is compatible with a wide variety of cameras but there is very little info available either here or even on the Neewer website in the way of exact model identification. I have attached a photo from within the owners manual to help with that. The Canon 70D is not listed but for a reason that should have a quick resolution. You need to attach this product to your camera by way of a pc sync cable (included in this kit) to get full E-TTL functionality with your Canon camera. For whatever reason, the 70D has no connection for pc sync. Canon 70D users: make sure to purchase an E-TTL Flash Hot Shoe Adapter Converter separate from this kit. Conveniently, they sell on Amazon for less than $10! Connect the adapter to your camera hot shoe prior to using the flash kit. The components from the kit will communicate with your 70D by way of the adapter; the sync cable plugs into it rather than directly to the camera. Although I had to purchase an item separately to get full use (e-TTL functionality) of this kit, its nonetheless an EXCELLENT value. Keep in mind, a large number of camera models are directly compatible with the kit. Again, take a look at my included photo to see if yours is one of them. UPDATE 03/04/2016: Although ATILL an excellent package for the price, Im stuck in Manual mode. My hope is that the sync adapter and or the sync cable (both purchased separately) are not compatable with my set-up. Any advice or suggestions from readers in-the-know would be greatly appreciated.

Great starter kit for off-camera lighting - transmitter and receivers have good range and will work with other flashes, not just the bundled NW-561s. Remote can be used off camera when a receiver is tethered to the camera with the supplied cable. Decently powerful speedlights with reasonable cycle time. Cons: - The tripod mount on the flash bases has a plastic thread. Dont expect the bases to last long if theyre mounted on stands. - The user manual is truly awful. Broken English and references to functions that do not exist. - Despite the "zoom" display on the LCD (And references to the non-existent "zoom" button in the manual) - these are fixed zoom speedlights. The focal length cannot be changed from 35mm.

The kit is very nice for a beginner amateur photographer like me. I can use the remote controls to trigger the flashes during the day with no problem. The speed lights are ok but I regret not to buy better ones with TTL capabilities. I have to shoot in totally manual mode but I think it would help me to learn more about lighting. The kit came with lot of cables that I havent used any of them so far. I suppose they are to trigger bigger flashes that I dont have. I havent tried it as a camera remote control trigger because I have an IR much easier to use.

I got these as I was looking for a remote trigger capable set up to use at wedding receptions and for preserving skies and sunsets during portrait sessions. Im still learning how to light properly but these lights are a great deal. I use them on 2 tripods, and then put them on slave mode when indoors, so they are triggered by the speedlight on my camera. Outdoors Ive used the remote triggers. I had an issue getting the triggers to sync up to the remote sensor at first but once that got worked out I havent had any issues. I use rechargeable high output batteries and the recycle time is non-existent.

This kit is great for starters or anyone on a tight budget. I added a receiver and super cheap speed light so this kit can also grow if you need a 3 or more lights as well. I was also able to not only trigger the remote flash but was able to trigger a remote camera for a second angle on the same shoot. Talk about versatility. The only thing that could be improved upon is the sliding power switch. They kept turning on in my bag so Id have to have spare AAA batteries for the remotes as well as spare AA batteries for the speed lights. This is not i-TTL and each flash must be set manually.

I was going to give it a 4 stars because of the lack of documentations or poor documentations. Then I ask myself the following: 1. Am I paying $1000 for this? No, I cant expect perfect doc while keeping the cost down 2. On Nikon equipment I bought in the past, it did come with detailed documentations. However, it had too much info that was so boring to read that I ended up not reading them at all. Other than the documentation issue Id encountered, I found this product to be very decent quality and definitely would recommend to anyone. Additional things I like: 1. easy to use 2. transmitter/receiver are very flexible and have many useful configurations. The wireless setting worked flawlessly on my first shoot after figuring out all the cables, switches, settings. 3. flash are powerful Suggestion for improvement: - Vertical angle/adjustment could be more stiff. When a reflector (12in by 12in) was attached through velcro, vertical rotation part of the flash moved little too freely. Summary: Based on value, product quality, and pictures results, this product deserves a 5 stars in my book.

Great speedlites for the price. My only complaint is the swivel neck becomes really loose over time. I bought this set to replace one I had purchased about 1.5 years ago. I shoot weddings and Im not super careful with my equipment. So if you dont abuse your instruments, you may be fine. I work rough.

I purchased this set to finally get my photo business a working flash upgrade. It works perfectly either as a flash add-on or as a slave flash that can be used to light the room. For the price this is a must have for any photographer who wants to boost their indoor photography.

This kit is perfect for creating more complex lighting situations on the go without carrying a ton of equipment. I like that you have the option, depending on which button you press, to change the settings in either 1/3 stops or in full stop increments. From what I can tell it puts out the same amount of light as my sb700 with nearly identical recycle times, and it does it at only a fraction of the cost. The transmitter and receivers work exactly as theyre supposed to, even at longer distances. Ive triggered these from a hundred feet away and they fire the flashes every time.
