I purchased this for indoor shot improvement and adding strategic fill in outdoor portraits. I’m mostly a nature and wildlife photographer. The packaging is outstanding. Looking at the packaging and the product you’d never believe it was hundreds less than Sony’s comparable product. As to how it works? Well, I took a few test shots indoor in low light, and clearly I don’t know enough about flash photography and it makes it clear that despite the illusion that you just pop this on and fire away in all conditions, there is setup that needs to be done first. I’m learning that aspect now. By the way, LOVE THE RECHARGEABLE BATTERY!!! There is a learning curve. I’m a natural light photographer and I don’t know squat about flash photography. The thing is, I don’t mind a learning curve when I’ve spent $400 less than SONY’s version.

I highly recommend this flash...Im using it on My Sony RX10M4 . I couldnt ask for anything better but do wish the low light focus LED would work on the flash. Im sure it could with a firmware update from Godox if theyd offer one. This flash is just what I needed & has tremendously helped my photography needs. I was hesitant about buying it but can say its the best money Ive spent on camera gear period! I was also concerned about the battery power & can say it does what it claims. Very satisfied buyer.

I bought this for my Sony a7R3.This is a great flash TTL works great, it has great power it seems well made, is a good fit for the Sony It also comes with usb for firmware updated, so your speedlight is always up to date.

Recovery for next shot, is faster then I can pull the trigger. Also you shouldnt have to carry extra batteries, if it last as long as reviews are stating.

So when it was announced I knew this would be the perfect solution for my sony mirrorless e-mount cameras - including a7r3 and a7iii. Being a compact and small flash it balances very well on these mirrorless cameras but has loads of features including being able to trigger other godox flashes. The kit also comes with everything you need including gels/and 2 diffusers, a carrying pouch and a battery and charger. The battery lasts for over 500 full power shots which is crazy long! I cant imagine having to charge this very often and its nice to not have to worry about AA batteries at weddings anymore! If youre looking for a flash for on camera work and travel then look no further! Another great flash from Godox!
