We wanted a small TV to undercabinet mount in our kitchen. It was hard to find a white TV the right size, this was the only one that fit our needs. We were a little wary when we ordered it, but it has performed well so far. It IS extremely flimsy: the mounting bracket we are using is probably twice the weight of the TV and were being careful to grasp the mount when turning or raising the TV for fear it might snap in half. But the picture is good and it has been reliable for more than 4 months now. The initial setup was easy, but when it was being fed by the coaxial from our Comcast box (one of the tiny ones, not a DVR or X1 box) HD channels were not filling the screen and had to be zoomed individually, which was almost a deal-breaker. But when we switched over to an HDMI cable that problem disappeared. We had to get a flexible HDMI cable with a small plug to fit into the TV as the input layout on the back of the TV is a bit tight. There was a little time spent trying to figure out the remote code for the comcast remote (X2) but we eventually stumbled across it: 10178. The only real complaint is with the sound, which is not great. There is very little difference as the volume is raised. Its fine for watching the news during breakfast or while cooking dinner, but dont expect much more. Hard to argue with the price though, happy with the purchase.

This little TV has been perfect for my needs (I usually keep it next to the computer, but take it with me whenever I relax in the spa tub.) However, there are 2 things that could improve it: (1) Better instructions. I had to contact support to find out what the colored buttons on the remote are for because the manual just says "Red, Green, Yellow, Blue" (I thought, "Thats dumb -- anyone can see the colors, but what does it DO?" The manual has a diagram for the remote doesnt show their functions like it does in the diagram for the other buttons (2) It would be helpful if there was a way to til the screen up & down. But considering the price, the picture is fine and Im very pleased with it.

We bought this to replace a 22-yr.-old 9.5" screen CRT TV in the kitchen. We used it for a week or so before writing this review to ensure we were knowledgeable about how it worked and how it performed with a variety of channels. . . and whether or not we were going to keep it. As for the latter, we are definitely going to keep it. Its perfect for a kitchen or small room. Pros: Extremely light weight (less than a lb.) and occupies 1/10 the space the old CRT did; good sound, especially for us older folks who have trouble hearing high frequencies; the sound has very little bass, lots of highs; responsive and full-featured remote; reasonably good picture considering its low price. Also, if youre replacing a CRT that you used daily, youll see a slight drop in your electric bill. The TV draws all of 18 watts! Cons: Cannot be paired with the digital adapter remote provided by Comcast, so you have to use the remote that came with it for everything except changing channels and the Comcast remote for channel selection. Dont know for sure, but its unlikely that remotes from any ISP (Verizon, etc.) can be paired with it. To minimize the black top and bottom margins present on all HD channels, you have to set the picture aspect to "Zoom". Doing so also expands the picture width, making people and objects appear somewhat wider than they really are. The picture does not have the brightness of a $1000 LED TV, and has a "blue bias"; i.e., items that would appear pure white on an expensive TV have a bluish tinge. If you decide to buy the TV, we suggest also buying the extended warranty. Why? Two reasons: (1) The manufacturers warranty is a scant 90 days and (2) the extended warranties are ridiculously cheap -- e.g., $3.83 for a 4-year extension!

So far so good. This newer version of this TV (2/2018) has the stand permanently mounted! The only down side was trying to remove the stand to mount it under a kitchen cabinet. The bottom of the stand came off easily but the "post" did not. I had to remove the 4 small screws along the bottom back edge of the TV then slightly open up the TV itself about an inch, yup. You can then take a phillips head screwdriver and remove the 2 screws holding the stand on. Be carefull not to let the screws and pieces fall back into the TV when taking them off, it might be tough to retrive them. It actually only took 2 minutes and is pretty easy to do. Paired it with the $22 Anker Soundcore speaker for much better sound. It is USB powered, my cable box has a USB port on it that I used. You have to provide your own 3.5mm-to-3.5mm cord for the audio connection to this speaker.

What a treat. This arrived yesterday and is up and running in our kitchen. We did not attach cable or an antenna. We used the Roku stick, and it is working like a charm. (In order to use the Roku stick, it is necessary to use an extender which is free from Roku.) I would have given it 5 stars, but the cute little thing seems confused in the volume department. In order to mute the volume, we must use the remote that came with the TV. After its muted, even though the Roku app on the iPhone works to change most other options, it wont work to restore the volume after a mute. So, for volume we must juggle between the iPhone, the Roku remote, and the TV remote. That is not a big problem except when the phone rings. It would be nice if the stand could tip a bit or swerve, but for our purposes, as an extra TV in the kitchen, its a perfect option. Now, lets hope it continues to function properly over time.

This little TV actually works better than I expected. Its too bad there arent more small (sub 19") TVs on the market from major manufacturers. We took a chance on SuperSonic and fortunately did not get a dud like some reviewers. The picture quality is very good. The sound is good at mid-volume, but becomes tinny at higher volume, and causes the shell of the unit to vibrate. The system menu has lots of useful settings. There are various input ports, including component, HDMI, and USB. (which can double as power for a streaming stick) Naturally only one of each type of port. Antenna reception is better than my big TV BUT this is only if its in the same spot. We completely lose reception if we try to move it to another room. SEE ANTENNA NOTE BELOW. Overall the TV is so light that it feels like a toy. That is a good thing, but you need to be careful when touching it that you dont knock it over. Just focusing on the negative points since otherwise its very good: - It doesnt come with an antenna! This is annoying since all the competitors do include one. You will need an antenna if you want over-the-air channels. I was able to make a paperclip antenna and that works, but only in certain locations in the house. It works if you connect to existing antenna in a known good location, do the auto channel search, then disconnect from that antenna and plug in a mini antenna (or paperclip). However if you move away from the strong signal area it will cut out completely, and even moving the antenna may not get it back. This is a problem with Digital TV. - Its very light so youd think its portable, but its not. Beside the antenna issue above, IT IS NOT BATTERY POWERED, so you need to plug it in with the attached adapter. - The remote control is too big. It has one of those giant 30 button things youd expect to come with a complete entertainment center. Some people might like this, but ideally a small white TV should come with a small white remote. They could even put a hook on the TV to attach the remote when youre not using it. But no, it has a giant black remote thats taller than the picture itself. Despite this, I cant find any simple "previous" channel button. There is a Favorites list and button, but it seems to lose its memory any time you unplug the TV. If you just want a small TV to watch streaming video or play games on, and are planning to keep it in one spot, this should be perfect. I was hoping for something more portable, and primarily want to pick up over-the-air channels. I have ordered the "Supersonic SC-2812" and it will probably replace this.

Has a nice clear, sharp picture and perfect to fit on top of refrigerator. In programing the TV to our cable remote, I had the choice of either powering the TV ON or OFF; not both. The remote that came with the TV works well to turn it on or off. the cable remote is TV compatable for changing the channels.

Needed a little TV for the kitchen to replace one that died. As compared to the one being replaced, I am amazed by the quality of the picture and the clarity of sound in this small, very inexpensive unit. And it was also unbelievably simple to set up, maybe took 10 minutes. The only reason I dont give it 5 stars across the board is because you cant seem to adjust the aspect to fit in the shape of the screen. Otherwise, surprisingly delighted.

Nice little kitchen TV for the price. Picture and audio quite good. Note, there are no Supersonic programming codes available to work with your programmable remote (cable, sat etc.). This means that to consolidate the TV remote and cable remote into one, youll need to buy a third universal "smart" remote ($10).
