After hooking up my new Sceptre, you people with your single star Reviews had me as nervous as if I had bought a lemon, and would have to ship back this huge television. People, dont believe the reviews until you try one for yourself and form your own opinion because this TV is as clear and has just as sharp picture as my Samsung in the living room. It offers almost the same options as my Samsung, but at a quarter the price, and so far, I am glad I went this route because unless you have money to blow, there is nothing wrong with these Sceptre TVs. This is my second, and the reason I had to replace my first is because I was cleaning the screen and it fell about 4 feet and hit a steel safe on the floor, and I had used it for almost 2 years without a single problem. The remote is a little lighter and cheaper made than the Samsungs, but other than that, and since I use my DirecTV remote, anyway, I am glad I ignored the reviews and took the chance.

Excellent TV. Worth twice the price. Simple set up and great picture. Also, the universal remote code that worked for my Xfinity remote control was 10000. Figured Id include this after a bit of research.

Im impressed for the price is a really good TV, cmon having an Emerson from 2014 in my room to this new one almost anything would be an upgrade. Anyways looks really good I knew is not a smart TV so plugged the fire stick and got it fast and great quality.

40" 1080p unit Just made it 5 star .... Though reconsidering due to oddities--want a 4.5 Good discovered the directional buttons and select control my firestick The audio is not HiFi, but it is TV grade . The picture is clear, is it 720 or 1080 ? Interestingly on the back mine has 4K printed on it one thing that is clear .... very bright .... I zeroed backlight and have brightness below 30 . The so-so The shipped settings were all over the place and took some time to to get close -- though different chanels seemed different so largely source dependent ..... interestingly it appears more correct 4 months later - it seems TV has learned to compensate for chanel/source change issues - but suspect that is perception (10/28) . Now I have had issues with display size settings ... which partially rely on source notification as this has been an issue on my last TV too, why it appears source based) . Remote is fine, some buttons in odd locations , but no two remotes are similar . THE NEW ODDITIES audio will just drop out ... channel change up/back fets sound back I had a pixel block freeze 3/4×1 inch ... again chanel change made it dissapear . So yeah, its not perfect .... BUT .. better at $200 than at $2000 , because some issues TVs cant fix

CANT FIND A BETTER TV AT ANY PRICE. IT HAS SO MANY ADJUSTABLE CONTROLS THAT YOU CAN PERSONALIZE IT TO YOUR VIEWING AND SOUND PREFERENCES

Well you get what you pay for. I didnt have a lot of money to spend on a TV, so I snagged this during cyber Monday. The company that sold it was actually great because after finding out the shipping was slightly delayed due to the holidays they took off another 20 dollars off the already on sale price. When the TV finally arrived, I spent a good half an hour trying my best to get the sound to not be absolutely horrible. The only luck I had was to turn the treble and base all the way up. But it still sounds pretty aweful. In fact, the volume doesnt go high at all... when turning it up - I hear no difference between volume 30 to max volume. That is, only a quarter of the volume range seems to do anything. After that, it doesnt get any louder. All that to say, I am hoping I get a soundbar for christmas because I cant hear this tv unless the room is silent. On the bright side... I did get a great looking TV for the price! I just wish I didnt then need to go out to get a sound bar.

Great “little” TV. This TV replaced a still functioning 32” Olevia in our bedroom - keep that in mind. Picture quality is everything we hoped it would be. 3 HDMI (for 3 devices) is a big step up from having just 1. Sound quality is adequate when the bass is turned up to 100. Perfectly fine for watching regular TV. Definitely add a sound bar if you intend to have a movie/game experience with this TV. I use decent ($10) in-ear buds with my Xbox when I want to game at night - no complaints. Setup is easy. The TV is super light. All around extremely satisfied with this purchase.

I have had it for about three months, I bought it for my office. One of the HDMI ports doesnt work, but otherwise it has been great!
