This was the perfect TV for my daughters room. She does not have a very big room and I did not want the TV to be the biggest presence.
This TV is just what I needed. The picture is clear and there is no problem with the sound. The setup was easy. I even get more channels than I did with my TV I replaced. Great TV for price and size. This is a winner for me.
I was surprised to find the TV included a DVD player. UPDATE: Two days later the unit is no longer available. I think they sent me the DVD model rather than back order the unit or cancel the order. (A good reflection of the integrity of the vendor in my view.) I have two 19" DVD versions of this TV and Im happy with it. This TV can be modified for RV use - - If youre handy with electronics, soldering, installing connectors and jacks. I removed the back cover and found a very small connector labeled "Power Upgrade". Next to the pins are the labels "12V" and "GND". You can plug the TV into the 120V wall socket and 12V RV socket at the same time for "always ready" viewing. Very happy with my two TVs. Sound is poor (naturally) so use external speakers. Bonus: Its fully compatible with the newer Amazon Firestick remotes that have volume and on/off functions.
The picture quality is quite acceptable. We are using them as CCTV monitors. The price was what drew our attention. Of note is the packaging. They came well packaged with a convenient strap to assist removing the TV from the box. Also, they came packaged with their own handy screwdriver to attach the base with. The remote and menu are intuitive and clear. We are quite pleased.
This makes the 5th Sceptre TV I have purchased this year. I think the quality and performance is well beyond their affordable price.
We bought it to fit into a tight space in our Park Model bedroom. The picture quality is great and the remote control has all the features needed for a great viewing experience. Easy to set up out of the box. Cant go wrong with this unit. I recommend it!
Picture quality is good, device design looks good. Sure, sound matches the budget price but still worth it.
